Do not use this hair salon “Le salon Dieppe”
If you are looking for a good hair salon and someone says use Le Salon Dieppe.....run as fast as you can away from them..... I filed a complaint with the BBB and the Owners response back was how horrible I was to deal with and I’m really offended!!! I was extremely nice to them. If I had been rude then you can say it but I wasn’t and if I were she would have known it. So the word that comes to my mind is DEFLECT..... When the cat looks up, the mouse runs away, successful in his attempt to deflect the cat's attention. When you deflect, you throw someone or something off course, often by using a distraction. Another way to deflect something — such as criticism — is to blame someone else. Please share this so no one else has to endure such a horrible experience. And end up with yellow hair. Do not use Le Salon Dieppe at 140 Canaan Drive #104, Dieppe,NB E1A 9J2. Contact Sally Davis, Owner at 506-388-8088. I went to the Salon on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 12:30 I had a consult with stylist Amber Lynn. Speaking with her I explained that I did not want brown hair. I showed her a picture of balayage. (This pretty-sounding French term, which means to sweep or paint, also has a very pretty effect on hair. During a Balayage service, which is a highlighting technique, a colorist paints bleach or haircolor just on the surface of your hair freehand; he or she doesn’t saturate the entire section with hairdye. The result is soft, natural-looking, sun-kissed highlights that easily blend in as hair grows longer.) I decided to proceed. She stripped my hair down then proceeded to add colours upon colours explaining different tones. I have no idea what tones are or honestly why they were telling me this. I have never gone to a salon that explained tones especially if they are high end salons, the stylist normally knows what they are doing and goes on to color my hair. After my hair was coloured and blow dried Amber asked me what I thought of my hair. I told her that I didn’t like the top it was to dark. She said the colour would fade out in a few days. I got home looked at my hair in my mirror under my lights and contacted her right away explaining that I hated my hair it was to brown and there was a disconnect from the top of my hair and from just above my ears and down. It did not blend. It looked like two different heads. The colour was drab and it didn’t fade out it turned green. So green that my co workers were all commenting. I contacted the salon directly by messenger and the owner contacted me the next day. On Thursday, July 11, 2019 I went back in and met the owner. She said my hair was green, she seen what I meant. She offered to fix it for free and said she herself along with her assistant would do my hair. When they were explaining what they were going to do I voiced my concerns over how would doing just the top of my hair match the rest of my hair. Makes sense right! They proceeded to put a product on my hair to strip it again. (They meaning the owner and her assistant. Come to find out from the young girl she was a new hire in training fresh out of school. ) Once the product was on my hair the owner went to another room leaving instructions to the trainee/new hire. Not sure how many minutes later the owner came back but by then my hair was a horrible mustardy colour they explained this was ok don’t panic, which I found ironic because I heard the owner speaking with the girl and showing her a chart that showed the levels of yellow and what they meant. And that mine had gone to a darker yellow then they had wanted. I seen them mixing colours and they explained things and showed me hair colour samples from a board on the wall they had me pick the colours I liked. I honestly am not sure what stage we were at. I just knew things weren’t looking good for my hair. I mentioned something to the young girl and she said the temperature in a room can make a huge difference in colours and hair. I said oh really so it would make sense that the colour on the left is different from the right bec her co worker was to my right using a blow dryer on someone’s hair. At that point she was at a loss for words. The colour was done and I had a horrible colour that the top and bottom did not blend. And I looked like what people referred as a peroxide blonde (when I was growing up). I asked about putting foils but they did not recommended because it would not look right. The young hair dresser explained to get a particular shampoo because if not my hair could go yellowish I said lovely thanks for the information. The owner asked if it was what I wanted I said yes because I just wanted to leave. I needed to find someone to fix the mess I called hair. I don’t know how this salon is in business. I have never in my life received such a bad colour not once but twice from the same salon. I only go to high end salons because I like my hair to look good at all times I have high expectations when I’m spending a lot of money. I paid the salon $165. I left the girl a 5.00 tip out of politeness. To the point... Again my hair is horrible and people are making comments. I said if you can believe it a professional hair salon did this. I’m telling people the name of the salon and a lot of people are making comments that she is known for bad hair. I now have yellow hair not blonde, not brown or green but yellowish orange and the top and the middle don’t connect at all. My hair looks worse than ever My hair looks so horrible that people are stopping me and asking who did my hair. I’m hoping they are passing the word on not to use this salon. Would the Owner, Saly Davis or Amber Lynn (stylist) be proud to walk around with this hair. If answered honestly they would say NO...I just received the worst hair coloration ever in a 5 day period. Apparently Amber Lynn is her best colourist. If that is the case I can’t imagine what the worst is and how bad everyone else looks walking out. If I were a business owner and took my company seriously I wouldn’t be leaving someone who has already complained in the hands of a new person I would be making sure that I took the time to do it myself. It wasn’t a time for a new hire to be doing hair and any professional would have seen that. The salon should have never stripped my hair there was no need to even do this. They should have put the hi lights in with the colour I already had. As per the balayage description above. Them not getting my hair correct is showing lack of experience and that they have no knowledge of colour or the techniques required to do their jobs. I have to walk around with this hair and it’s horrible. Oh and Amanda is a student If you are looking for a good hair salon and someone says use Le Salon Dieppe.....run as fast as you can away from them..... I can’t see myself being the only person who received a bad experience with this hair salon maybe the only person willing to speak up about it. If you can believe it the back of the picture below goes with all the other photos. I’m not kidding there is a total disconnect in my hair.
