In January this year, I went with my friends on a skiing trip. We decided to be a bit adventorous and travel ny train. It was such a cool expirience. Our train was leaving at 4 o'clock and we have traveled for few hours. When we got at the train station in Sarajevo, we found taxis and drove to Jahorina. We got into our rooms and our 7 days of just skiing and having fun started. We literally were skiing day and night, drink coffess, tea and a bit alcohol to warm us up. We always sat at our favourite Cafe, because the atmosphere was always at its finest, music was so good and people were great. It was all filled with beautiful vibes and positive energy. After the night skiing, which is an amazing expirience, we woulf go home, eat, get ready and go to som club or any place that had music and drinks. We repeated everything for 6 more days and got back exhausted but beyond happy and fulfilled.

Reflection:
We had an amazing time. It was our third year of travelling together. Some people learned how to skii, some of us were improving our skills, and some were just enjoying in relaxing and spending quality time with friends. Overall it is such a perfect way to bond with your friends, get out of town, be in a healthy place with fresh air, and have so much fun.

Secret Santa
Date: 2.1.2021.
Approximately hours: 3 hours.
Type of activity: Creativity
Learning outcomes :
• Identified own strengths and developed areas for growth.
• Demonstrated that challenges have been undertaken, developed new skills in the process.
• Showed commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences
Secret Santa is one of the, I would call it games, that I do with my friends around New Year. Group of my friends and me, there is 7 people, we buy each other presents for New Year. Main idea is that we acidentally pick one person from group and buy or make them a present, but no one tells anyone who they picked. It is super interesting, because we all feel the euophoria of getting and recieveng a present and we get a chance to surprise one of our friends without spending a lot of money. It is so much fun to think about presents, going shopping and getting to know our friend better, because we have to think what they need, what would they like or dislike.
Tumblr media
Reflection:
It is such a blisfull feeling when we all gathere together and start the game. All the unpacking, waiting for the other person reaction, thinking of did we choose the good thing for present. It all brings so much feelings, it improves and makes a stronger bind between us. Especially, that we do it on January 1st, and there is a saying "What you do on 31st of December and 1st of January, you will be doing that for the rest of the year". So, we tend to spend the rest of the year together, loving each other and making each other smile.

Decorating Christmais tree
Date: 12.12.2020.
Approximately hours: 1 hour
Type of activity: Creativity
Learning outcomes:
• Identified own strengths and developed areas for growth.
• Demonstrated that challenges have been undertaken, developed new skills in the process.
• Showed commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences
I have been decorating the Christmas tree since I was little. I always did it with my family and it was a big deal for me. Every year we would buy new decorations, each set would be colorful or gold with silver and red details. My mother, brother and father decorated themselves with me and we did that every year at the same time. It was a few days after November 24th. It was a family tradition and something we all truly enjoyed. We always stared from the bottom to the top, the star of course goes to the top, and what I find specific is that we never left out the side of the tree that is not visible. It is an activity that we all do once a year, but it is so special and it deserves all the love it deserves as beauty and fun.
Reflection: Christmas tree decoration refers to love, family, holidays and all healthy, warm feelings. I really always felt so happy doing that and through that I learned how important family and family activities are for an individual. All the things you do, which are considered a tradition, teach you how to grow and how to be a better, softer and at the same time responsible and observant person. A fun activity brings so much joy, warms hearts and gathers all people. Also, you can learn a lot about aesthetics and how to organize various things in one place, if you do that of course. Embrace yourself through it and enjoy every moment.

Pilates
Dates of activity:29.11.2020
Approximately # hours: 3h per week
Type of activity: Action
Learning outcomes:
Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth.
Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.
Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences.
Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively.
I always enjoyed being active. FOR since I could remember I was playing some sport. I played volleyball for five years. When I stopped in the first grade of high school, I started going to the gym. However, I didn't like that so in the first year of the IB program, I started fitness. Then Covid19 happened and I couldn't attend that. In quarantine, I realized I want to focus on improving posture and being more flexible. So, I began my research on what sport is the best for improving these parts. I found out it was the pilates. I was lucky because in my city there are many pilates centers and groups are small numbered. This is a plus since of pandemic. I even motivated one of my friends to start going with me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reflection:
Since I heard that usually older people go to pilates, I was surprised how many young people were there. It didn't take long before I realized why is like that :) It veryyyy hard. It is the same as fitness. We do squats, crunches, and push-ups. However, in pilates yoga ball and roller is used. So, when we do all those exercises we need to focus on balance while doing strength workouts. I am going for not even a full month and I see the difference in my strength and flexibility. Furthermore, I have many appointments which I can combine in a week. This is the reason why I always can find time to go on pilates. And I enjoy it.

Walking a dog
Date of activity: 14.10.2020
Approximately # hours: 3h
Type of activity: Action, Service
Learning outcomes:
Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth.
Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.
Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences.
I don't have a pet. Since my parents don't let me have one, but I want it, so I found a way to help my friend while I still enjoy the company of an animal. For most people, the biggest obligation regarding taking care of their pets is walking them. They need to do that many times a day, so I understand them. I don't have that obligation and because of that, I am more than joyful to walk their pets. My friend usually walks his dog Molly for 30 minutes, but I walked for two hours so he doesn't need to walk his dog for the rest of a day. I even visited the dogs' park where they have impediments for fun. Since the bread of dog is Jack Russell which loves chasing the ball, I was throwing the ball for a whole hour.
Reflection:
I was really glad I helped my friend. Also, I enjoyed walking Molly. So I can say this was a successful CAS experience. However, I realized how much I enjoyed the company of a pet, so it made me sadder that I don't have one. :((((

Playing piano
Date of activity: 11.12.2020
Approximately # hours: 2h
Type of activity: Creativity
Identified own strengths and developed areas for growth.
Demonstrated that challenges have been undertaken, developed new skills in the process.
Showed commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences
I started playing the piano when I was ten years old. I was attending the piano lesson in music school for five years. However, after finishing it, I lost interest and didn't have much time for it. I decided to get back at it and try to develop old skills. I was struggling in the beginning because I  completely forgot notes and work in fingers that are required for playing the piano. But, I solved that by watching youtube tutorials. I just needed to overcome obstacles in the beginning and the rest was coming easy. I found all my old books with musical compositions and I needed one hour to remember how to play them. Besides, I wanted to learn new compositions to play. I found online notes for many modern songs.
Reflection:
This was a real back memory experience. It reminded me of how much I loved playing the piano back then. I needed to work on existing skills, but I worked on extending them. This CAS experience was extremely successful since I want to repeat it in the future. Furthermore, it was more difficult because I didn't have a teacher. I needed to find tutorials that are appropriate for compositions and needed to rely completely on myself.

Pottery
Date of activity: 19.12.2020
Approximately # hours: 4h
Type of activity: Creativity
Learning outcomes:
Identified own strengths and developed areas for growth.
Demonstrated that challenges have been undertaken, developed new skills in the process.
Showed commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences.
Demonstrated the skills and recognized the benefits of working collaboratively.
I have wanted to do this CAS activity for a long time. I even wanted to start to go on lessons for pottery in a professional studio for it, but we don't have that in the city :( So, I found the lessons on YouTube. It doesn't require professional apparatus and it is made for working at the home. I needed to buy clay and begin to work with it. It was messier than I expected. But, it gave me a relaxing time. Furthermore, I was motivated more since the dishes that I made have a practical use. However, it seems like an easy job, but in reality, it is not. I still needed the help of my father. He was an amateur painter, so, it had some experience with clay. Still, I needed to a majority of work he only helped me when dishes of clay needed to be baked.
Reflection:
Since it was harder than it seems, I needed to extend my skills. However, it still gave me a relaxing time. Besides, I always felt that I don't have a creative side, but after this CAS experience, I want to engage in developing that side. I realized that I enjoy creative CAS experiences and that I could say I have existing skills at them. I will definitely try to do more pottery in the future.

Skiing
Dares of activity:12-18.01.2020
Approximately # hours: 5h per day, 30h
Type of activity: Activity
* Shown perseverance and commitment in their activities
* Planned and initiated activities
* Undertaken new challenges
*Increased their awareness of their own strengths and areas for growth
My first experience actually skiing was going straight down a tiny little hill, I just shuffled forward enough and let gravity take me. The movement was easy and felt pretty natural, however, I did run into trouble walking up hills in my skis, taking my first tumble trying to walk up a hill then sliding backward and then inevitably landing on my back. After learning how to roughly turn and control my speed, I was deemed ready to take on a green circle slope. I got on the chairlift with no issues, however unfortunately the dismount was not so smooth. I somehow ran into a cone and triggered the chairlift to stop. On the top of the mountain we tried taking a picture, but I ended up skiing backwards down the slope, freaking out, and taking a another tumble. Other than that I enjoyed skiing down this more advanced slope in wide “S” turns. And I did the rest of the days.
Reflection: There's no other experience quite like it. You're wrapped up in puffy gear that you can barely walk in. There are these weird things attached to your feet and everyone else seems to be going way too fast it too close to you. However, that feeling you get from stepping outside your comfort zone and learning something new is priceless. I don't regret it!

Date of activity: 24.12.2019
Approximately # of hours: 4 hours
Learning outcomes
*worked collaboratively with others
*considered the ethical implications of my actions
*undertaken new challenges
This is an activity planned by the collaborative efforts of the course of the German language Glossa for the humane cause of giving presents to the children residing in the clinic for Saint Nicolaus day. Making greeting cards and packing presents for the kids in the hematological clinic was really something I wanted to do. Also, we were decorating cookies. And was really nice that Glossa really tried hard for this charity event to succeed.
Reflection
It was relaxing for me to make cards and decorate a cookie. I really felt like I wanted to do not because I must. It is going to be a success if only one child was made happy with these presents.

IB1 and IB2 worked collaboratively in order to organize this Charity Christmas Fair in order to bring happiness to the school and also help those in need. We decided to host several mini events within the school for others to participate and have fun. There were different types of activities such as Just Dance and photo booth and we covered a wide range of interesting in order to appeal to almost every student in the school. The event lasted one dayand we payed entrance to the Just Dance in order to raise money for the charity. This event last year lasted for three days so we were a little bit skeptical at first but we were in for a big surprise. This year’s Christmas Fair was a total success!

Reflection:
These pictures show us preparing cookies for Christmas Fair. Cookies were sold as well as soaps. Students really liked Just Dance and Photo Booth. However, books didn't sell really well. We decided that the money gathered will be sent to the children in need

*Learning to express myself in a new ways
*Testing my own limits
So last Saturday I attended the event held by Nick Vujičić. He is an Australian Christian evangelist and motivational speaker born with tetra-amelia syndrome, a rare disorder characterized by the absence of arms and legs. His story inspired people across the globe and since he came to my city I decided to go. I already knew I lot of things about him from social media. I knew his disabilities didn't stop him to have a normal life. He has a full-time job, family, friends and successful career. Many people would give up so I was very interested in knowing what inspires and motivates him. The event was organized in Dvorana Borik, also Etno Grupa Trag had a performance.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reflection
I was amazed by the number of people in the hall. Also I noticed a lot of disabled people in public, TV camera recorded their face and emotions of gratitude, motivation and inspiration we're shown. But the speech wasn't all the time serious, actually trough out the speech we were laughing a lot. Furthermore, the interesting this is that Nick is by blood Serbian so he knows language, but struggles with cases. That only added to having a pleasant atmosphere. After the speech, I was inspired and motivated to work on myself and my perspective.

Well, it was a new experience for me. I had the opportunity to speak with pensioners since they were the most common people to be interested in flyers. I was very happy because I indirectly helped my friends from SU. And this is my first activity from the field of service. I would like to count the number of activities I have in every field so, in the end, I would know in which I participated the most.

I will write about participating in an area that is the closest to me, action. More specifically about fitness. We all know how much physical activity is an important segment of our lives. So I did my researches and found what suits me best. Fitness is right for me because it fits my goals, I want a lean body and hit work out that will make me feel good after I did it. Also, I can get lose my motivation if workouts are not interesting enough and are the same every time. This is not a case for fitness, for sure. Aims of it are hitting every part of the body in one hour.
Reflection
I was surprised because there were women age 40-55 and also overweight. So I was only more motivated to work out. It is something new for me but also requires already developed skills. It makes me feel amazing every time I did it. Also, it makes me pay attention to how I eat. Overall, a great experience which I like to continue.
