genshin impact x gn!reader┊fluff: how they carry you

ingredients: how do some genshin men carry/hold you in certain situations?

calories: childe, diluc, kaeya, kazuha, xiao + gender neutral reader

serving size: fluff・very little angst・2k words

— WHEN YOU'RE HURT

in a situation where you are injured, childe will not hesitate to carry you in his arms! even if you protest and say that you are okay, he will definitely just ignore you and start looking around for a healer.

he thinks that hoisting you onto his back will take too much time and in a very critical situation (where you are extremely hurt), time isn't on your side.

if you keep being stubborn and saying that you are alright, childe will say that he will knock you out if you keep objecting and you literally can't tell if he's joking or not

once however you accidentally tripped over your own feet and ended up being swooped into his arms... you had to remind him that you weren't on death's door

— WHEN YOU ASK FOR HIM TO CARRY YOU

oh no. what have you got yourself into?

childe's arms immediately go under your knees and shoulders; you have to wrap your arms around his neck so you don't fall off when he swings you around

but princess style isn't the only way he'll hold you! childe will sometimes pick you up and put you on his shoulders (if you get embarrassed by it, good luck cause he's not putting you down anytime soon)

he will definitely tease you by wrapping his arms around your waist from behind you and lifting you up just like that; if you kick your legs then he'll definitely put you down and laugh

i think we all know that this man is strong— in some situations, childe doesn't let you down on the ground for a LONG time. the only way you can get him to put you down right away is if you start tickling him, but if you do that you better be prepared to run cause this man WILL chase you down

— WHEN YOU'RE TIRED

for once, childe will give you a piggyback ride! in a scenario where you aren't too tired, he will run around liyue with you on his back (it's a bumpy ride 💀) it's also a way for childe to show off his lover wherever he goes, so he'll be doing it for a while

there may have been some occasions where childe was having some normal conversation with someone and you're just sleeping on his back; he honestly just finds it cute how you trust him enough to do that like it's a normal thing

he might even go over to zhongli and coo about how adorable you look while sleeping on his back

— WHEN YOU'RE HURT

another one who will carry you princess style; it's just efficient and quick, so who wouldn't?

however if needed, diluc will also give you a piggyback ride! there's more contact that way and provides more warmth, soothing and taking some of your pain away

in the piggyback position where your head is lying on his shoulder and your ear is close by, he will whisper sweet things to you to distract you from the pain. he also asks questions so when you answer, he knows you are still alive and conscious

remember that diluc's probably reliving his worst nightmare of losing someone he holds very dear to his heart; when you get better make sure to reassure him that you're okay :'(

— WHEN YOU ASK FOR HIM TO CARRY YOU

this can truly go many different ways!

if you ask diluc to carry you while in public, he's at a loss of words.. but who is he to say no to your adorable pleading face?

won't princess style carry you in public but the most he will do is giving you a piggyback ride (and ignoring everyone's stares as he's walking down the street with you sticking to his back like a koala)

if it's in private however, diluc won't hesitate to carry you in his arms and spin you around! he will bend down a little bit to press kisses all over your face and laugh at your reaction

will let you go if you ask, but if he's looking for a bit more touch on that particular day then he'll pout and ask for just ten more minutes (please give it to him SOBS)

— WHEN YOU'RE TIRED

another situation where i can see things going different ways

let's say you and diluc were having a date outside and you just fell asleep on the picnic blanket, then he chooses to just pick you up onto his back

if you're very exhausted, he'll carry you princess style (but you might have to promise him that you'll walk on your own once you reach mondstadt's bridge)

however in a situation where you pretend to be tired so he can carry you and he notices, then he'll playfully throw you onto his shoulder BUT only in private. if there's people around the area you're at, he'll just quickly tickle you and give you a forehead kiss to wake you up

— WHEN YOU'RE HURT

princess style all the way. kaeya does not want you to possibly be in more pain if he carries you on his back, so he gently puts you in his arms and immediately looks for barbara

probably one of the ones who looks very calm on the outside but is an absolute wreck on the inside, he doesn't want you to panic if you see him panicking so he tries his best to look strong for you

like diluc, he'll talk to you. unlike diluc, he whispers different things like praises.

for example: "you can do it. you are strong, don't let the pain get to you." and etc.

— WHEN YOU ASK FOR HIM TO CARRY YOU

i think we all know how teasing this man can be; the moment you ask, kaeya will pick you up and throw you onto his shoulder- kind of like his brother, but absolutely does not care if you two are in public!

you could literally be standing around talking to someone and kaeya would walk up behind you and just pick you up; it's kind of normal at this point 😭

other times though, he will actually wrap his arms around your waist and carry you, swinging you around and nuzzling his nose against yours

another fellow who will carry you on his shoulders! i don't think he will do it much but will definitely do it if you asked; he likes it when you hold onto his hair or bend down a little to look at him

— WHEN YOU'RE TIRED

when kaeya sees that you're tired, he immediately offers to give you a piggy back ride. this man may be a tease but he genuinely wants to give you some rest, plus he likes it when you snuggle your face into the crook of his neck :)

bonus: he also likes piggyback rides because you're a bit closer and he can breathe in your scent

however princess style works too! kaeya likes it SO MUCH when you cuddle your face into his chest and doze off just like that

— WHEN YOU'RE HURT

could carry you either on his back or in his arms but kazuha would probably prefer on his back so he can feel your breathing on his shoulder and neck to confirm that you're still alive

whispers things like "when we get home after you get better i'll make you your favorite soup" to make himself believe and trust that you'll be okay

if he carries you in his arms instead however, he would hold you up a bit higher so your ear is pressed against his chest and you can hear his heartbeat. anything that can distract you from the pain and soothe you even just a little bit works for him

another calm on the outside and completely wrecked on the inside; he keeps a small smile on his face to reassure you that everything will be fine

— WHEN YOU ASK FOR HIM TO CARRY YOU

teases you at first but makes it seem like he's oblivious: "i'm sorry dear, could you please repeat that?"

but eventually, kazuha will hold and carry you: if you want him to give you a piggyback ride, then he will! how about in his arms? he'll still do it!

loves it when you're in his arms so he can lift you up a bit more higher to nuzzle his cheek against yours

i don't think he would mind if it was in public? probably would go up to beidou while he is still carrying you and you're just there flustered as kazuha talks to beidou so casually (this man oh my lord)

i don't know why but i can visualize this man gently picking you up then tossing you on his shoulder for fun. only in private though! he doesn't want to make you uncomfortable in public in that uncomfy pose

— WHEN YOU'RE TIRED

if you ask kazuha for a piggyback ride one night on the way back home after a date, who is he to decline?

talks about random things while you're on his back in a sleepy state and you aren't complaining; his voice is so soothing it almost makes you fall asleep the moment you hear it

gets so flustered if you play with his hair or you actually do fall asleep while on his back, it makes kazuha very happy that you trust him to hold you as you sleep

— WHEN YOU'RE HURT

xiao immediately picks you up in his arms; whatever is the fastest will work cause in that moment all he is thinking about is losing you and how he cannot let that happen

says things like "don't die on me" or nothing at all, all the thoughts in his head are clouding over and he's just desperately trying to hold onto reality

he could be calm on the outside and panicking on the inside but at the same time, everything currently happening stresses him to the point where how he looks on the outside is the last thing on the priority list

when you get better and he's carrying you back home, be prepared for a lecture. no he's not mad (if he is it's at himself), he just deeply cares about you and knows how fragile mortals can be

— WHEN YOU ASK FOR HIM TO CARRY YOU

you probably broke him cause now he's just a very blushing adeptus

in public? xiao will definitely decline but if it's a private place outside in nature or in the privacy of your room at wangshu inn, he'll begrudgingly pick you up (cause let's be honest he can't really say no to you for long)

could carry you on his back or in his arms; sometimes he will just get to a very high place while holding you so he can see your reaction to the beautiful view

likes it when you hide your face into his chest (while you're in his arms) or into the crook of his neck (while on his back) when he's literally jumping in midair cause you don't want to see the height below you

— WHEN YOU'RE TIRED

xiao already knows it himself that he won't be able to handle it if you fell asleep while he was carrying you princess style

he cares about you so much and still wants you to get some rest so reluctantly he will offer his back to you

doesn't know if that decision was a good thing or a mistake cause when you fall asleep and he can feel your breathing on his neck xiao is instantly a flustered mess

literally thinks you're doing it on purpose because of how you can easily make him blush but honestly he's just touch starved and hasn't had physical affection in a long time (until he met you)

bonus points if you kiss him on the neck before you doze off; yeah he thinks he's going crazy now

his initial reaction when he realises that his peaked interest in you was indeed of romantic nature just was oh. okay.

he doesn’t do anything about it for a very long time

albedo’s not only naturally observant, but it’s also part of his job - so no one really bats an eye when he’s very focused while sketching in his notebook or when he zones out staring into the distance (while you’re coincidentally right in his line of sight)

he pays a lot more attention to you and the small things about you; but most importantly he tries to decipher whether you’re also interested in him or if you see him merely as a friend

he figures that, if he wants to get closer to you, he has to spend more time with you and learn more about you - sucrose suggested reading some romance novels but he refused, claiming that he’d rather focus on you directly ʕ·ᴥ·　ʔ

you begin to notice that he’s suddenly very interested in your likes and dislikes?? not only that but he asks really random questions, like

“what do you think is the best location to meet at that would objectively boost interhuman relations?”

“which type of plant sparks the most delight in people, in your opinion?”

“which dish woul-“ “albedo, what are those questions??”

he doesn’t know what sparks the sudden confidence in him, but he very calmly replies,

“i like you. romantically, to be specific.”

and that’s when you realise that albedo didn’t suddenly gain interest in people and studying human relations, but that all those questions and observations were because he was interested in you~

let’s just say he managed to set up the perfect first date!! (ง `ω´)ง

he doesn’t know if he wants to be close to you 24/7 or if he wants to avoid you to spare his poor heart from combusting

his heart just beats so fast when you’re with him!! his mind goes all fuzzy and he’s always distracted by you!! (*´Д｀*)

you’ll get lots and lots of small little gifts from him; sometimes they’re little rocks he thought looked pretty, flowers, treasure (read: cabbages) he found on his adventures, small little trinkets he got from marjorie - he just wants to see you smile so prettily at him!!

to be honest he’s,,,,not very subtle about it? he doesn’t really know how to handle a crush on someone, so you might have to be patient with him! while he’s very obvious he’s also pretty much oblivious to his own advances, if that makes sense?

like, he’ll shower you in praise and little gifts but he’ll also just implode on the spot if you’re ever the one getting him something or telling him how amazing he truly is

he’ll get around to confessing eventually!! especially once he got some advice from his dads (о´∀`о)

all of them encouraged him, told him that, they’re obviously also interested in you, who wouldn’t be, benny?! just take them to starsnatch cliff and confess, boy!

that got his confidence skyrocketing!! ٩(๑`^´๑)۶ his dads believed in him and that’s the only reassurance he really needed to come clean about his feelings for you~

his confession will either be a spur of the moment thing or planned to a t - no in between (〃ω〃)

it might even be a combination of both - he has a perfect plan to confess to you, but he’s so overwhelmed and excited that he just accidentally blurts it out while you’re bandaging him up

“dear archons benny, look at you! you really need to sto-“ “i like you.” “….benny, what?”

it’s safe to say that he was on cloud nine when he came home to his dads that night, wounds taken care of and loving kisses pressed to his cheeks (｡･ω･｡)

#CHILDE

he’s already a charming and flirty person, so it’s honestly quite difficult to distinguish genuine flirting from his usual banter （*・∧・*）

sometimes he manages to fluster you when he looks at you with such a sweet and warm smile but that feeling quickly fades away when you see him smile at the waitress the same way and you’re just like 川*￣д￣*川 ⁈

his crush on you is most obvious in those moments you’re not there to witness it:

when he offloads some of his work to some other agents because he promised to go stargazing with you, the way he’ll scold any of the other fatui agents if they so much dare as to speak to you in a way that’s anything else but respectful-

every single thing he does for you is loving but every time you begin to think that he might see you as more than just a friend, he pushes you back again - it’s a draining game of tug of war between you two (つ﹏<。)

he wants to give you everything he has, his time, his attention, his love - anything you want. but he knows that it’s not possible; he’s a harbinger, he’s a dangerous man, he’s not made for a relationship. not now, not ever

but he wants to be with you so bad, which is why he does the things he does - he wants to live the relationship experience with you without actually becoming your boyfriend - and it’s all to protect you

still, when he bids you farewell before leaving for a few months, he can’t keep it to himself anymore. he has to tell you now; he has to make sure you know, that you’ll be his once he returns

it’s like something straight from a romance novel, you’re standing at the pier, waving goodbye to him while he boards the ship when he suddenly runs back, catching you by surprise when he grabs your hands in his,

“hey, what are you-“ “i love you! i love you so much, god, and i know i’m about to leave but please, please wait for me. promise me, please.”

you stare at him, panting in front of you, determination written all over his face and you just nod, of course you do, because he finally said it - he finally was honest

he barely managed to get back on the ship in time but hey!! he got a kiss as a farewell gift so that’s still a win in his book (〃￣ω￣〃ゞ

#DILUC

oh dear, oh dear…he’s in denial for such a long time! (；¬д¬)

he just believes there is no way he could be in love with anyone? he continuously tells himself that he’s perfectly fine with the friendship the two of you share and that this little crush of him is just a temporary trick his mind is playing on him

well, surprise surprise!! it only got worse over time…how unexpected, master diluc! ฅ(˘ω˘ )ฅ

he’s so helpless? he is quite popular with the people of mondstadt but he himself never really had any romantic interest in anyone so now that he’s does he’s struggling a lot (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥｀)

he becomes a little stiff and stoic around you and at first you think he might be a little more stressed than usual; that he’s straining himself more than usual - he does live a double life, after all!

unfortunately, it doesn’t stop - so you begin to think he might just not enjoy spending time with you like he used to, which leads to you visiting the tavern less and less (◞‸◟；)

diluc notices, of course he does! he looks forward to seeing your figure walk through that wooden door every single night he’s on bartender duty, so when you stop showing up, he gets antsy

did something happen? are you alright? what if you got hurt and you’re just laying somewhere, helpless and alone?

he knows it’s a little paranoid and maybe dramatic, but his life hasn’t been kind to him - he’s used to being on guard and to expect the worst and he wants nothing more than for you to be safe and sound, preferably right next to him

you’re honestly quite surprised to see diluc walk into cat’s tail, his eyes immediately finding yours, visible relief washing over him

“diluc, what are you-“ “i was worried about you, you stopped coming over to the tavern, and i thought something might’ve happened to you so i looked for you…and while we’re here i’m going to get it off my chest; i like you, as a friend and as…a romantic partner. please consider me as a possible suitor, i-“

you interrupt him with a kiss to shut him up, which leads to both of you leaving the tavern blushing furiously, but hey! you have each other now （ʃƪ＾3＾）

#KAEYA

ohohoho the cavalry captain has a little crush~~ what a rare sight to see! consider yourself lucky ♥(ˆ⌣ˆԅ)

you see, he’s not really surprised he fell for you - you’re amazing! if anything he’d expect to have to fight tons and tons of other possible suitors for your attention

but you like him, a lot! and he knows that. truth, he’s not quite sure if it’s also in a romantic sense but either way, he enjoys basking in your attention

he especially enjoys the attention he gets when he teases you - the cute frown on your face drives him crazy! he just wants to kiss your pout away ෆ⃛(ˇᵋ ˇෆೄ

he not only enjoys teasing you verbally, but also by letting his touch linger a little longer, by staring at you a little more intently until you’re getting shy only to let out a chuckle, throwing a handsome smile and a little wink your way when he sees you walking by - in short, he loves to get you flustered

the amount of times he said that “there’s something on your face”, only for him to lean in really close, staring into your eyes until you grow shy under his gaze and him muttering a “how pretty”, is astounding (*ﾉωﾉ)

neither of you are sure what the intentions of the other are - you don’t know if it means anything when he leans in a little closer than needed to whisper something to you and he doesn’t know what it means when you bring him some tasty baked goods you made yourself

it all comes to an end when he catches one of the knights chat you up in front of the headquarters

sure, the two of you aren’t together and he doesn’t even know if you genuinely like him that way, but he still can’t help the frown on his face - so he decides to take matters in his own hands, once and for all!

“ah, there you are y/n. i was waiting for you, you know? it’s not nice to let your date wait.” “yeah sor-…wait- date?”

the whole exchange probably was the most awkward moment of that poor knight’s life but kaeya doesn’t really care, to be honest - how could he when all his attention is on you and how flustered you got? he loves it, he truly does. and he even got a date out of it! yep, kaeya enjoys this *ଘ( ॢᵕ꒶̮ᵕ(꒡ᵋ ꒡ღ)

#VENTI

oh my god!! he has absolutely no shame!! none!! (〃ﾟдﾟ〃)

he’s always been really close to you which only gets more intense once he develops a crush on you-

now, instead of making up funny songs on the spot while you’re on an adventure together, he’ll make up love songs to serenade you on the spot ꈍ .̮ ��

you don’t really take him serious at first which kinda bums him out? like he’s literally singing about his undying love for you!! y/n get the hint!! （｀Δ´）！

while he’ll joke and sing about his love for you, he never really actually says it? which is a big reason why you’re not sure if all of his advances are serious or not

like, the two of you joke around all the time! why would it be different now? what if it’s just wishful thinking on your part??

venti doesn’t get discouraged though, no! it’s quite the opposite, actually - he decides that if that isn’t enough, he just has to be even more obvious!

which leads to rather interesting interactions, to say the least (・ω<)

there isn’t really a real confession - the two of you kind of get into a routine that very much resembles a relationship. even the people around you have accepted the fact that their drunk bard and lovely y/n are together (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧

sure, both of you have different dates in mind when it comes to your anniversary and telling people how the two of you started dating evokes all kinds of reaction - still, neither of you would have it any other way ♡

xiao doesn’t really understand this weird feeling he gets whenever he sees you? he doesn’t even have to see you, it’s enough to think about you and suddenly he’s all warm and fuzzy inside - he hates it.

he’s an adeptus! he doesn’t have time for whatever nonsense this is - that’s what he tells himself while coincidentally ordering a second serving of almond tofu which just so happens to be the exact moment you’re returning from an expedition!! what a coincidence!! (￢ε￢　)

he might be a bit more harsh towards you? it’s his defense mechanism if you will; he doesn’t know this feeling, doesn’t know why it’s there, where it comes from, what it means - all he knows is that you’re the culprit!! ᕕ(˵•̀෴•́˵)ᕗ

all his life he figured that feelings like love were only meant for mere humans; so imagine his surprise when he realises he’s in love (with the help of verr goldet, of course)

he’s torn, truly torn - he catches himself daydreaming about you more and more and while he’d usually rather perish than indulge himself in “feelings for mortals”, he can’t help but long for you

he thinks back to the way you’d cradled his head when his karma was especially hard on him - you were calm and so, so warm and you’re quite possibly the first human to make an adeptus like him cry

he cried and cried and, to his shock, it felt good - he didn’t feel ashamed or weak. he felt warm and safe for possibly the first time in his life, his head cradled against your chest while your fingers run through his hair - he longs for the warmth you make him feel

which is how you end up on the balcony of wangshu inn after verr goldet told you someone was waiting for you; a pacing xiao being the first thing you see upon arrival

“xiao? why’d you wanna meet me here?” “…” “xiao? are you-“ “stay with me. forever, i mean. i…i love you, so…please. i won’t repeat myself.”

he may be a little emotionally constipated but with you at his side, he might not even be half bad. (*´︶｀*)

#ZHONGLI

he knows as soon as he develops his crush and kind of decides to just…enjoy the feeling?

it’s not something he got to experience a lot during his long life, so now that he’s in a position where falling in love is natural and okay for him to do, he wants to enjoy it ｡◕‿◕｡

he enjoys the warmth in his chest when you greet him good morning as you pass the funeral parlour, the genuine smile on his face when you invite him to lunch with you, the way you listen to his anecdotal stories with so much interest on your face - it all feels so nice and warm that he can’t help but want to enjoy it instead of making a move

zhongli begins to realise that he’s missed this - sharing a connection with someone, someone he treasures so deeply and truly cares for. he wants to hear about your day, about your opinions, about the little dog you saw on your way home that day - not out of courtesy but because it comes from you, and that’s all that matters (｡◝‿◜｡)

he’s quite obvious about his affection for you - it’s obvious in the smile he throws your way whenever he catches sight of you, the way he’ll listen attentively to anything you say no matter how silly it might be, the way he immediately springs into action when you mention you’re hungry

it’s clear that he favours you over anyone else, which might’ve led to a few off hand comments from hu tao…hu knows 👀

he’s in love with being in love, if that makes sense? though, over time he begins to realise that maybe, it would be even nicer to actually have you call him yours - his heart flutters at the thought ‎(∩ڡ∩)

he’s,,,,old, so his way of making a move might be a bit more traditional than you’d think - still, it’s endearing and makes you swoon

“y/n, would you do me the honours and go out with me? in a romantic setting, if you deem it comfortable and appropriate.”

we reached 130 followers! thank you so much, i hope you guys enjoy this. i'll be posting more of my drafts soon! <33333 characters: a. kamisato, k. alberich, k. kaedehara, childe/ajax. warnings: established relationships.

"i'm all yours," ayato replies, making eye contact as he completely tunes out the rest of the world. whether it be an emergency or a silly joke you want to tell, he makes sure to give you his full attention. sure, he may be busy, but who's to say he wouldn't drop everything for you?

"it's hard not to, baby." and it is true, beidou does struggle to look away from your adorable face. she constantly catches herself in a trance when you're near, and it's quite the challenge for her to direct her eye(s) elsewhere. the way she looks at people is somewhat intimidating, but you find it quite alluring. (the tables are turned when you accidentally look away and she cups your face to make you face her.)

"oh? well, i do admit you're quite the view," kaeya rests his face in his palm, taking a good look at you just to get a reaction. while he might be a tease, you mustn't worry about his attention wandering elsewhere. in fact, if you had asked him to spend a whole day listening to you, he would do it with no problem.

"i'm listening, love." even though kazuha might not be the best at making visual contact, he sure is great at listening. it's not that he doesn't like looking at you! he just gets nervous when he holds eye contact for too long, and the way you grin when he looks away doesn't really help. however, his eyes are completely trained on you when you're not looking.

"and if i don't?" ajax does not miss a beat when responding. this guy takes everything as a competition. he immediately loses though, since he turns to you as soon as he hears your voice. beat him at a staring contest, do it. he thinks he can last pretty long, but just hit him with an eye smile and he's done for.

absentmindedly plays with your hair while the two of you are studying together. the kind to hold your hand under the table during lunch while your friend chatter around you. scribbles little hearts and doodles on the corners of your notebooks while you aren’t looking but will vehemently deny it when you point it out. lets you borrow his stationery if you ever forget yours (he gets sulky when you use someone else’s though). carries your bag or books after school. the kind to cheer for you during sports say even if you’re on opposing teams. If you doze off in class, he’ll reach over to tap your table or shoulder so that you don’t get scolded by the teacher. drags his chair over to your table during recess to sit by your side (your friends will tease him about it, calling him a lovebird while he hides his face in your shoulder)

THOMA

leaves a milkbox or juice box and some candy on your desk while you’re out of class if he knows you haven’t had anything for breakfast. waits for you outside your house or by the bus station so that you can go to school together. crosses pinkies with you while walking down a hallway, swinging your hands back and forth slowly. always supports you in your extracurricular activities; if you play a sport, he’ll do his best to be at all your games. adored by your family (your mother in particular). the kind to glance at you during class to see if you’re confused about the current lesson or a difficult concept the teacher explained; if you don’t understand, he’ll suggest an impromptu study session in the library after school because “don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today”

“did you just quote franklin?”

“but he’s right though!”

KAEYA

tugs on your sleeve or kicks the back of your chair lightly when he wants your attention, only for him to grin at you and simply say hi. runs and wraps a hand around your waist when he sees you in the hallways to sneak a piece of candy or a snack before walking away with a satisfied smile. when your teacher announces a paired assignment or a group one, he’ll saunter up to your table and claim you as his partner. flicks your forehead when you fall asleep (but he’ll kiss it better later). winks at you if you glance at him during class. arranges for study dates at either your house or his to help you study, but at a price — usually in the form of cuddles or kisses. offers to walk you home everyday after school only for him to drag you to the nearest mall or arcade where you end up taking embarrassing photo booth pictures before indulging in as many desserts as you can.

DILUC

fixes your uniform whenever it looks messy (“your collar is crooked, did you run here?”). leaves small reminders on your desk to drink some water or to make sure you have your meal. calls you to revise for finals; even if you were to call at midnight, he would pick up the phone to help (though you might get an earful the next day for not getting enough sleep). shares his food with you during lunch. lends you his sweater if you’re feeling cold (“keep it. It looks better on you anyway”). glances at you every now and then in class because he thinks you have the best reactions to the lesson. the kind to say yes every time you ask for help with a topic or concept you don’t understand because that means spending more time with you.

KAZUHA

asks for kisses in exchange for his notes (minimum requirement is a kiss on the cheek; if you try hard enough, he’ll yield in exchange for cuddles). claims he doesn’t understand a concept or topic just to hear your voice. always has a hair tie on his wrist or some clips in his bag for your hair. always wishes you good luck before a test (usually accompanied by either a pat on the head or his hands squeezing yours in silent encouragement). watches you in class sometimes, when he’s sure you aren’t looking; if you catch him staring, he doesn’t look away but will instead hold you gaze with a small smile adorning his lips. holds your hand when you try to walk along the curb

”you’re going to fall.”

“maybe i will, but i know you’ll be there to catch me.”

XIAO

has an album of your pictures only on his phone (mostly candid ones where he snuck a shot) but never shows anyone. swats you away with a growing blush when you kiss him on the cheek in the hallways and tells you not to do it again (but he’s weak for the grin you give him so all he can do is huff). shares his water bottle during p.e. brings you home on the dot after dates but never leaves until hours later because he misses you again when he gets home (though he would never admit this to anyone, especially you). wraps a hand around your waist with your arms around his neck when you greet him after class. calls you a dumbass (playfully, of course) but patiently explains a problem when you don’t understand. shares an earbud with you when he’s listening to music during recess or lunch.

He’s not good at expressing his feelings, and he’s even worse at processing his emotions. He’s in denial about liking you. Poor Diluc doesn’t know that denying isn’t going to make it go away.

His affection towards you is very subtle, and most people wouldn’t even notice something is different about the way he treats you. Has Master Diluc always been clumsy with the glasses, or do his hands get surprisingly shaky whenever you’re around? Is he just tired and irritable today, or does he lose his train of thought whenever you look at him with those wide, innocent eyes?

you decided to take a nap after a long day, you couldn't see Kaeya that day because he was busy with work so that got your day a little upset. You went over to your bed and slowly went into a deep sleep.

You were in the knights of favonious headquarters, about to go into Kaeya's office since you bought lunch for him, he was busy with work so why not just bring a little bit of a break to him ? You opened the door, and dropped the lunchbox you were holding. You couldn't believe your eyes. You saw him kissing another girl who you couldn't recognize at his table. You were trembling, your head was filled with thoughts. Is this the Kaeya I loved ? Why is this happening ??? we were happy we were...

You woke up with your face full of sweat, "phew, it was just a dream.." you said to yourself. But, what if it wasn't ? It felt so real... What if this was a sign? what if this was actually true ? What if when he says "he's busy with work" he was actually just hooking up with a girl ? You got all paranoid, and you couldn't stop thinking about this dreaded nightmare.

After that whole dream, you were unintentionally avoiding him. When you saw him walking over to the tavern, you'd walk the other way, you stopped visiting the knights of favonious headquarters, and whenever Kaeya tries to interact with you, you'd say something along the lines of "im busy". Kaeya got worried, did he do something wrong ? You've never acted like this towards him. Is it something serious ?

He decided to actually try this time, he sent you a letter reading "meet me at the mondstadt statue". It hurted you even more since that's where you met him. Is he gonna tell you that he cheated on you ? Is what lingered in your head. You know it's not true, but you can't help but feel that it is. You went there and you saw him, standing there, you took a deep breath. "What's wrong ? You've been avoiding me for a couple of days, did I do something horrible ?" He asked, you can see his genuine emotions, and you felt ridiculous. You told him the dream you had, and you couldn't help but get mad at his reaction. He was laughing, putting his hands over his mouth. "I get it's ridiculous but could you stop laughing ? It's pissing me off." "I'm sorry, but do you think I'd ever cheat on you ? Why would I replace my favorite person ?" He smiles. That reassurance, that smile, got you feeling happy. He puts his hand on your cheek "You're the most caring most kindest most prettiest here on Mondstadt, why would I ever try ?" he said with the sweetest voice. You almost started tearing up until he hugged you tightly. You love when Kaeya is genuine with you, he never has when he first met you so you love it when he's the most honest person around you.

you were clinging to him and making sure you have his whole attention then next thing he knew, you stopped so suddenly and it pisses him off.

actually, what pissed him off was the fact that how dare a being like you made him feel so frustrated and immediately became needy without him knowing. he felt empty without his lover clinging onto him like they’re life depends on it.

“what the hell is up with you?” he asked out of the blue when you two were having dinner. you looked so innocent like you didn’t do anything to him, which made him more irritated. (you actually didn’t do anything to him lol he’s just needy)

you looked at him confused. not knowing what you did to him, you just shrugged it off and continued to eat. scaramouche being scaramouche, he walked up to you and grabbed your chin to make you look up at his piercing eyes.

scaramouche is a jealous and harsh lover. despite his actions towards you, you knew he still loves you so dearly.

“why did you stop being needy all of the sudden? did i do something wrong? are you mad at me? stop driving me crazy!”

and then you just stared at him for a while. he was about to rant even more when he heard you laughing your ass off.

you cupped both of his cheeks and kissed him on his cherry lips.

“oh scara ... and here i thought i was being a bother and annoyance to you ..”

his face softened when he heard your words. he would then say sorry for making you feel that way.

i see him more as a ‘actions speak louder than words’ typa guy. after that he would cuddle you so damn long 💀 but it’s okay because he leaves kisses on every part of your body (this sounds so- nvm) until he fell asleep.

# albedo ?!

he would stop everything he’s doing even if it’s an important matter and will turn his attention to you and you only. he wouldn’t say anything tho. he instead observed and tried to find answers as to why you suddenly stopped clinging all over him.

he thought that maybe you got tired of always getting his attention and he blames himself for that so much. his heart was beating rapidly at the thought of his special someone getting tired of him. i just know he would probably talk to Kaeya about this stuff since they are the best of friends.

Kaeya said that maybe you are getting tired of him always inventing and researching things that he barely even had time for his lover.

in the end, he decided that it was best to just ask and be prepared for what words could you possibly say.

you on the other hand, completely oblivious that the alchemist had gone away just to ask his friends what was going on with you and why you suddenly changed from being so clingy, to being so distant.

you thought it was best to let him be for a while since he is really passionate about his work and you wouldn’t want to interfere with the things he loved the most.

when he got back to their home, he saw you standing while wearing his spare coat, deep in thought as you stare at the snowflakes pouring down slowly.

Albedo slowly walked to his special someone and hugged them from the back. you were so warm he could melt. “tell me [name]... what’s gotten you so distant these days? i miss your touch, i miss your voice, i miss your everything...” he said, snuggling onto your neck and kissing it.

“i just... think it would be best if i didn’t bother you all the time. i mean it’s kind of annoying you isn’t it?...” Albedo turned you around and cupped your cheeks, kissing your forehead.

“what made you think that way? you know i would never get tired of you. im sorry for making feel this way [name], i love you so much...”

# zhongli ?!

he’s very straightforward. when he noticed you were being distant, he immediately talked to you about it.

Zhongli wasn’t used to you not being by his side all the time, wanting for his attention. he would gladly gave you what needed tho so he was really confused why you became so distant.

“[name], can we talk for a moment?”

you just came out of the shower in you two’s bedroom when you saw him sitting on the bed, patting the side signaling you to sit next to him.

with only your robe/towel on, you followed his command (as u should jk) and sat beside him not knowing what for.

he looked into your eyes and held your chin with one hand close to his face. “is something bothering you, my love? i’ve notice you were... being quite distant with me these past few days.”

you were entranced by his golden orbs staring deep into your eyes looking for an answer to his question.

“nothing, Zhongli... it’s .. well, don’t you think it’s kind of annoying when i always cling by your side and ask for attention? aren’t you... tired?”

hearing these words from his lover pained him. he felt bad for making you feel that way.

without saying a word, he pressed his lips onto yours. you were so surprised but ended up giving in to his passionate kisses. (who wouldn’t resist him tbh) when you two were done, he held both of your cheeks and made your foreheads touch.

“i know most of the most i push you away because of other matters, but i could never get sick and tired of you. always remember that. and if you forget, i’ll always be here to remind you.”

# diluc ?!

he would get REAL bothered i tell you! he can be strict with you sometimes when he really wants to finish his works immediately.

now, it’s his fault why you’re being so distant. curse him!

he would then make it up to you by making you breakfast in bed, sending you flowers when he’s at work and you popped up in his mind, or maybe preparing a nice shower for you.

he would go through lengths just to make it up to his special someone. you appreciate it of course (i mean it’s Diluc doing all of these just for you so.. be thankful ahjxkx)-

-but you would just say thank you’s and kiss him or hug him and that’s it.

you didn’t really want to bother him even more because you knew he was always tired from work.

“hey... why are you so distant these days? am i not enough?”

Diluc tried to hide the pain in his voice but couldn’t. you two were sharing a bed together and he was now hugging your form next to him, his hands carefully stroked your hair.

“Diluc what are you saying? you’re more than enough you know! im sorry Diluc i thought that i was being an annoyance to you and didn’t want that to continue...”

Diluc then made you look up at his face, “i know baby, i tried to make it up to you... but you.. nevermind. just don’t stay away from me anymore, i think im going insane.”

# xiao ?!

he gets insecure and frustrated when you started to distance yourself away from him.

he would slightly growl whenever you’d turn away from him. he loved it when you were clingy despite his attitude.

he’s just really grumpy. on the other hand, you weren’t aware that you made him confused and frustrated.

you were sitting alone in your bed in wangshu inn, when Xiao suddenly scared the crap out of you by jumping into the window and landed on the bedroom floor.

“Xiao! what are you doing?!”

he turned to you and you noticed that he was wearing his mask and there’s blood all over him.

he walked up to you slowly and wrapped his arms around you. you were about to break the hug to get him the medication kit and heal his wound but he stopped you by taking your lips into his soft ones. you two kissed for like a minute or two.

“do you hate me?”

“what? why would i hate you Xiao? why would think that?”

“then... why are being so distant?”

you looked at him for a hot minute before smiling at him. “i-i thought you were getting annoyed with me whenever i want attention...” you said looking at your shoes/feet.

there was silence for a moment but Xiao soon made you look up at him and for once, he smiled ever so dearly at you. “im sorry. it’s my fault that you’re feeling that way and i want to make it up to you...”

the next scenes that happened was history 😳 lol

Scenario: He hasn’t seen you in weeks due to some assignment/job that took forever

Diluc

Is very focused on his task, but when night falls he can’t seem to get a proper sleep. Tossing and turning at the thought of you.

Often lays on his back at night thinking about what you must be doing right now.

Misses the way your hair tickles his nose whenever the two of you hug.

Sighs and finally tries to get some sleep after a whole hour of thinking of you.

Spots you in town just as he gets back. He feels like he’s frozen in time, seeing your face again.

Fast walks towards you and scoops you into a sudden hug, all he says as he buries his face in your hair is “I’m home,”

Kaeya

Is starting to get impatient. He didn’t expect the whole thing to be so long.

Is counting the days since he last saw you. Tells himself he’ll just think of an excuse to abandon the assignment if it takes longer than a week. In the end he still stays to finish the job for another 2 weeks.

Feels like a part of him is missing and doesn’t have the usual mischievous glint in him. In fact, the other knights thinks he’s rather irritable lately.

He comes back in the dead of the knight and cannot wait till the morning to see you. Knocks on your door, knows that you’re sleeping so keeps on knocking.

You emerge from the door sleepy and confused but he welcomes himself in, “It’s me,” so as not to alarm you that it’s some kind of creep. He picks you up, and rolls into bed with you, “I’m not leaving your side for the rest of the month,” and dozes off with you

There are times when you need to part ways, but you always promise to meet him at the town’s adventurer’s guild after you’re done with your errands and he’s done with his. However, every time this happens, just as you turn around to walk away from him, he sneakily hooks his pinky finger onto yours and tries to tug you back like that.

He’ll ask you with a lopsided smile and an expression that borders on shy, “Can you just take me with you? Please?”

He doesn’t do well when he’s away from you for long periods of time, but no one knows that except you and him…and Paimon who says he can’t even get any of his commissions done cause he’s always wondering when he’ll see you again.

Paimon gets exasperated because it’s really only one day.

There’ll be a small blush forming on his cheeks cause he’s taken aback by how good it actually looks on you.

“Uh…” will cough on his fist to hide the fact that he’s been caught off guard. “Yes, fine, totally fine. I mean, it’s good,”

Wants to take a picture and forever keep it with him.

Albedo

Getting him flustered is a challenge.

You’ve done it accidentally, not thinking much of what you were going to say.

He catches you staring at him once and asks if there’s something wrong, or if you’re interested in what he’s doing.

You absentmindedly state you think he’s just so handsome, and you say it with such seriousness that he has to turn away from you and can only mumble a small “Mm…”

You realize he’s flustered cause although he’s turned away from you the tips of his ears are red and he’s just standing there trying to get his bearings back.

Albedo

Some people may see him as a stoic man who only has eyes for the vials, beakers and flasks. Whose eyes are only on books, on paper and on research. If they saw you with him, they’d know how wrong they were. He can hardly take his eyes off of you. Try as he might, his eyes will flicker back from the book up to your form, until finally, he puts the book away and strides over to you confidently. He’ll take your hand and place it on his waist, wanting you to wrap your arms around him as he asks in a whisper, “Do you know that you’re the perfect distraction?”

“Aether? It’s just a hypothetical question, you don’t have to think about it too mu–” you were really just blurting out thoughts and nonsense.

He pulls you in for a hug, one arm tight around your waist and the other behind your head. “Please don’t” he whispers. “I don’t have anything else,”

He’ll become a shell of himself if you disappear. He’d look for you, but he’ll shed tears every night.

Authors Note: I realize that this is similar to my other post, “Softly”, think of this as an “add on” but with more characters.

Xiao’s a bit reluctant, seeing himself as a weapon, simple touches are foreign to him. But when you cup his cheeks, or press your lips to his forehead, or even rub your thumb against his bloodstained knuckles- it is hard to resist, especially yours.

So he reaches out, careful to not accidentally scare you or worse- hurt you. He lets himself rest against your body, hiding his face in your neck. He finds himself longing for your kisses, silently asking you by pressing his own against your lips. He found that his hands hold more than just the blood of his enemies, but your heart as well. He now understands why mortals- lovers- cannot get enough of each other.

Albedo had been stuck in thought, only one occupying his mind. He had wondered why he only thought of you: your hands holding onto his when excited, or when you lean your head against his shoulder when you feel tiredness. Not only that, but why he had a sudden craving for it.

It started with subtle touches: fingers tracing the features of your face, his own hands guiding yours when helping him with experiments, small forehead kisses when greeting you. However, he felt as if it wasn’t enough. It was only when you were around that he felt his thoughts calm, when he was able to hold you, keeping him grounded.

General Gorou felt appreciated when you didn’t ask about touching his ears and tail, only giving glances every once in a while. Though it soon turned into worry; did you not like those features about him, or did you know about his apprehensiveness due to his past encounters with nosy soldiers?

Those worries went away very soon after when you did start asking, not just to pet them but how it felt to have them. It made him happy that you had a genuine curiosity towards it, giving you full permission to touch them when in private with him. Even then, he felt the need to sometimes shove his face into yours, needing to have your fingers brush out the knots accumulated in his fur, or so he said.

Aether was happy that you were just as touchy as he was. He was happy that you let him hold your hand when walking, giving you light kisses on your cheeks when he said his ‘good mornings’ and ‘good nights’, hold you tight against him when he felt as if the whole world was against him.

He found you to be his anchor, his rock, the one person whom he felt comfortable enough to let them hold him the same way he would a lover. The way you hold him to you, letting your fingers weave through his hair and whispering quietly to him, it almost was surreal. He would hide his overwhelming joy in your neck, placing small kisses there as well.

Scaramouche, the man who shed tears in his sleep, was only comforted by the one he called his true love. A private man he was, only showing an ounce of attention towards you out of public eye, but would make it obvious to anyone else if need be.

Thumbs drying his tears, bringing his ear to the only other heart he needed, he would hold on to his lover like his life depended on it.
