Two Monstrous Nuclear Stockpiles
This is a fact that I have seen is not very well known (and that for me is important since I appreciate and admire Kaoru and Kyo). All the information comes from the DIR EN GREY Wiki, a really reliable source to check info of the band.
"TWO MONSTROUS NUCLEAR STOCKPILES" was a one-off project Kyo formed in 2000, with Kaoru as a support guitarist.
They only have one release to their name, an instrumental electronic-style song called 清水寺 (Kiyomizudera). It was distributed on cassette during the Battle & Love fashion event, held by fashion labels Ba-tsu and Kera at the Laforet Museum Harajuku on March 20, 2000.
The distribution of the cassette was allegedly limited to 150 tapes, which made this release quite rare and for the longest time, it was not available on the internet. However, you can listen to it here:
The song was later re-released with vocals on the CD 第三帝國楽団 (Daisan Teikoku Gakudan), which accompanies Kyo's first poem book 自虐、斂葬腐乱シネマ(Jigyaku, Rensō Furan Shinema). The re-release is called スカポルトロノ「清水寺ポルノTYPE」(Sukaporutorono "Kiyomizudera Poruno TYPE") and you can listen to it here:
Again, all this information comes from the DIR EN GREY Wiki. Check it out for a little trivia about this project.
