Speaking of the military, idk how many platforms ive mentioned the same thing but here goes:

Do not engage in any kind of media or information that doesn't come directly from the boys themselves. Stop consuming every story and believeling all bs just cuz it's korean smh. Literally when jungkook was inactive we got both updates from jimin himself, Taehyung posts on insta stories, so does hobi and namjoon, jungkook is active on tiktok lately, Jin is on weverse too. Yoongi isn't updating cause of the nature of his job and respective restriction. So please don't go around spreading their squad pics, X runs fast, Y sleeps at 9:08pm only stories. Thats how akges get a plaform and eventually spew fake narratives and spread misinformation and eventual hate on any of them. They're not celebrities but regular citizen under the government at the moment. They deserve this moment of both privacy and respect while they serve their country. We don't have to know if they're eating apples for breakfast. It's unnecessary. They have music and other content They worked so hard for and exclusively prepared for this time period. Engage, stream and hype that. Rest is noise.

Fri(end)s had SUCH radio potential. And it has gotten some play (Organic King) but if BH had actually pushed it for radio play, it could have been dominating.

I could even see the gimmick of playing him and JK back to back or in the same segment.

Ok lil secret about me: I have been doing radio in the UK as a side hustle since I was 15 so just under 30 years, god I'm ancient. Note: I do primarily behind the scenes stuff now. So I love radio discussion.

I gotta say I was BAFFLED but also unsurprised. I was really excited when I heard it because I was like ok yeah Layover was so niche, so jazzy but this is RADIO-Y.

The current hits stations (Capital, Radio 1 in the UK) should have been picking it up. A high profile artist with a fully English song (which unfortunately matters 🙄) that isn't like an overtly niche genre? It should really be there!

I don't think I'd have expected it to go to the A or B playlist, honestly. A playlist is usually reserved for like a couple of the HUGEST songs. Regular play during the day, once every couple of hours though it varies station to station. B playlist would be maybe three times a day.

I am not certain but Seven peaked at 3 in the UK charts and I think it was B playlist on Radio 1. Again, not entirely sure.

C playlist is likely once a day and that's where I'd expect Friends to go.

But it's currently not on Radio 1 or Capital playlists at all. 🙃

The trouble is current hits radio stations want to play what's popular and not what could be popular with support. There's no taking a chance on a great song anymore. Radio used to set the trends, now they follow them according to what's popular on tiktok. It's kind of sad.

Also kind of terrible marketing by the radio stations?! Everyone knows ARMY supports people who support us. I think they're fools not to play music with such high profiles and dedicated fanbase.

I think there's a reason and I think it's racism. Kpop artists fight a battle to be seen as anything other than kpop. I can only speak about the UK but I was literally in a store the other day trying to check prices on Face album and it took me ten minutes to realise Jimin wasn't under J. He was literally just under K-pop. As were BTS themselves. Like all of kpop was one artist! When they're fighting that kind of silliness, the songs aren't being judged on quality or voice or genre. They're just kpop and that's a niche radio isn't investing in despite kpop being made up of many genres and styles. Korean isn't a genre, UK music industry 😐

That said, Jungkook did pretty well with a peak in the top ten for all three singles from Golden. So how come he got decent play? I think that might come down to the very commercial sound - absolutely not a critique, I love it - of his music.

But I also think Tae is fighting more internal issues of general nonsense from his label. Basically it's an uphill struggle and I'm so proud of what he has achieved despite those issues. 💜

Taehyung and jungkook's relationship is overlooked by 90% of the fandom solely because they are so controlled by the narrative of the fandom/company that they cannot quite accept that anything outside is even a remote possibility. Ive been more of a quiet observer for years now [my sister's an army since 2015] and I've seen the boys, moreover I know how marketing and kpop works. It's quite evident if u observe close enough of the pattern on how this group of seven guys who genuinely love music is marketed you would understand to what extent you're being brainwashed. Im not talking about this like a conspiracy theorist. It's quite simple and right infront of you. Yall refuse to accept it that's all.

1. There are a certain set of stories that are made to be told by them, over and over again. Even if it disturbs them or they are bored. E.g: 2018 disbandment story, vmin dumpling incident, jikook rain fight/tokyo trip, mind you there are many things that happend between people who lived together for 10+ yrs but if it cuts the flow of events you are made to believe happened you aren't gonna hear from it, ever.

2. Like stories there are dynamics that each pair is supposed to portray Taegi as annoying/annoyed duo, taejin/jikook as flirty HS boyfriends, namseok/taekook the awkward old friends and no matter how much the relationships change or evolve you won't see it cuz again, it won't FIT the narrative that has already been shown.

3. Like relationships there are characteristics that thankfully some members chose to break out of during their solo era: hoseok always being sunshine and loud ( he's quite serious and very dedicated infact ), jungkook being that muscle dude who only knows how to follow his Hyungs ( he's very independent and has a lot of targets he wants to achieve individually, he's very thoughtful and organized) and Taehyung being WEIRD and weak ( he's extremely intelligent and super strong he's strategic and disciplined)

4. This brings us to the whole Taekook narrative, the fact that they've been seen so much during solo era yet people had the audacity to still call them distant and awkward solely cuz it wasn't via company but through Taehyung's ig or jungkook mentioning him in interviews etc. I think it's needless to say they aren't comfortable being touchy and showy on camera for content, hell if they were to shoot everytime Taehyung and jungkook hangout there would he enough CONTENT till 2067. They're supportive of eo and have a very big shared friend circle, when jungkook went missing for almost 2 months we got to know Taehyung was the one he was with.

5. The thing is everyone [ including my own sister ] thinks that Taehyung is being desperate or such whenever he mentions Taehyung cuz a. Yall have actually led jokers run so fucking rampant that everytime the man mentions him actually doing something you're ready to throw him under the bus and call him a liar or such. b. Im not saying jungkook isn't close to anyone else but when he isn't working or shooting content and just wants to be himself the one you saw him most was around Taehyung and yes it matters. In the name of hating shippers yall have not only dissed the quite frankly PRIVATE bond they seem to share but went as far as dissing Taehyung himself cuz of the extreme level of manipulation yall are under.

Ik imma find armys [jikookers ]under this sooner or later calling me names but to be honest I'm sick and tired of yall dissing very real people and their very real human relationships solely based off the content yall are made to believe is 100% candid. I feel so sad Stan Twitter has become an unwelcoming place for ARMY. The diversity of the fandom, including the age range, used to be hailed as one of our strength and what made ARMY different.

ARMY is made of lawyers, plant lovers, kids, engineers, moms, dads, librarians, grandparents, students, John Cena, Paolo Coelho, Bella Poarch....

Twitter used to be the place you could meet everyone and find your little corner of the fandom. As a 44 baby ARMY, I learned so much from veteran ARMY of all ages.

What have we become? I left Twitter because of the new owner and the algorithm shoving solos and antis on my TL. I miss the sense of community.

I think many are struggling with the state of twitter fandom right now. I don’t even go on twitter on much, but even I have noticed how bad it’s gotten. I’m sorry you feel sad about it.

This is a weird time we have to go through. While I’m a firm believer of things turning out right when BTS returns, I think the time inbetween will be hard on fandom. The members have always been the thing that connected us, but without them we fans have to keep things going between ourselves.. and it turns out the different parts of army don’t really seem to get along.

I have always felt that BTS are following the foot steps of Coldplay . Like they want to be different type of band, totally different from a typical kpop band as RM also said something similar in the docu series which gave the same insight . So definitely I could see after MS there could be both group as well as individual activities & they deserve this.

There was a similar discourse on twitter about this. An OP said they couldn't imagine Tae doing the same bubble gum pop music anymore after MS now that he had already done the type of music he has always wanted to do. Another OP said they felt the same with the rap line esp Namjoon. Thing is, all 7 of them are doing different types of music. It did work before apparently, but we've seen how high-pitched most of their songs were which could be out of Tae's range sometimes, that's why in some songs, he was only given a few lines. There was a rumor that Pdogg may not be part of HYBE anymore, so let's see how that will play out if Pdogg really is not part of BTS music productions anymore. I think Pdogg's production is mostly Jimin-friendly, and Pdogg seemed to have a lot of say on their production, so, it would really make a difference if he would't work with our boys anymore.

I guess there will be a major change in BTS music and dynamics once MS is over. Tae would definitely branch out. They could't make the same music and perform the same choreos anymore, so let's anticipate for now.

Personally, I'm not good with change. 🥲 It may be difficult for me to watch them not be in a group anymore in some of their projects or them starting to settle down and all. 😭 I wonder who will get married first and have a family. I want them to settle down, but it might take some getting used to. 😅 Their priorities will definitely change. I'm thinking that they'd be like Cold Play typa band. Oh well, I just want to attend their concert as a group before anything else. lol

in general i would find it kind of weird if bts backtracked from their solo experimentation 😂 there was quite a bit of reconnecting with their old selves from joon, hobi, and tae especially, so why ignore the new foundation created? doesn’t make sense to me.

i for one would not be interested in any more bubble gum pop music now that you’ve given me a taste. but they are all also hyping up how amazing it’s going to be once they’re together, so let’s be hopeful!

i think the rumor about pdogg might be fake, but i would love to see the members take advantage of non bh producers more. perhaps taekook taking those steps with their solo projects might encourage the group to do so as well.

personally, i think post military there will be more of a balance between group and solo activities. after their tour, i mean. which makes sense considering there’s only so much they can write about as a group and they shouldn’t face burnout fast all over again. i would also hope there is less of them being used for political gain too. i wish them to be free from the weight of all the titles and expectations people have thrown at them.

as for personal lives, i’m not going to speculate on who’s getting married first 😂 but i don’t imagine us finding out in advance. the change is inevitable, and will take time getting used to. but i’m sure there’s a game plan for everything, i doubt they’ll throw us on the deep end without warning.
