Summary: the sides arent human, despite what the viewers seem to think

Inspired by @izzyfandoms

Warning, it gets a bit body horror ish near the end there... because I got really into it.

Logan does not have... a desk. Or a bed or a room. He has a compartment. There he exists in a swirling, geometric form, made of squares and triangles and binary code. He does not speak, he merely listens and learns. He does communicate, even if it is not vocal, and he is always understood.

Patton does not cook, or bake. There is no need. None of them eat. There is no kitchen, no sink, none of them know they need one, they dont drink, after all. He is light, simply enough, he fills every corner of the mind scape, and nothing can escape him. His voice echoes, even long after the decision is made, and has a certain... quality about it that isnt quite angelic, and certainly not human.

Virgil depends. His shape changes with him. He can be a spider, small and scuttering, a cat, flexible and prowling. When Thomas's anxiety is particularly bad...

He is a storm. Raging and loud. His voice is loud and booming, drowning out everything else.

Deciet is not a snake. Not all the time, at least. He is surrounded with them; his hissing entourage of scaly subordinates. But him? He is water. A river of broken promises and white lies. Finding his way into nooks and crannies that arent even fully there. He is pervasive, liquid, terrifying in some circumstances, life saving in others. His voice is drip... drip... dripping, cold and deep.

The twins are the most... human of the lot. But still not quite. After filming they take forms that are their own, separate from Thomas himself.

Roman is a fairy. Simple, right? And kind of obvious? But he is no tinkerbell. His eyes glint a dangerous red, and if you look at them right his pupils appear slit, like a cat... or a reptile. His nails are painted black and red, and they're longer and sharper than any humans should be. His wings are what youd think of when I say fairy, but they are the color of lava. Glowing gold and red and orange, with pockets of black in between. And if you look closely... his skin has a certain overlap, reminiscent of scales if you think about it too hard.

Remus is... Remus. He remains human, as much as he can. But his eyes have turned a toxic green, and if you look too close you can see his hair, dripping and moving, pouring over onto his shoulders and staining his ears black. Things move under his shirt, slithering and snakelike... his moustache seems alive, moving in a wind that isnt there. Dont look at his hands too long either... there are things in the rotting flesh.

They are not human. They were never human. Why did we think they were human
