Excerpt from a Feb 2010 interview with David Tennant for On Magazine:

You seem like an annoyingly nice bloke.  Why have you not been corrupted by the spoils of fame and success?  How can you not be affected by hordes of people turning up wherever you go?

Well, all that’s just silly isn’t it?  I don’t really know how to answer that. Maybe if I had been 21 when it all happened, maybe not. I don’t know. It’s difficult to say. I was very well brought up, that’s what it is.

Your time as the Doctor has flown by - it doesn’t seem like four years?

Yes, for extraordinary, roller coaster years but that’s it.

Does it seem like four years to you?

It sort of does actually.  I suppose because it’s been so packed, not in a bad way, but it does feel like it’s been such a huge part of my life and life changing I guess.  And when I think back to 2005, it feels like I’m thinking about somebody who was much more young and more naïve.

So were you happy with the way your Doctor finally went?

I was really happy, yeah. It was sad and moving and that feels right and proper too.  And it was a big old epic story. 

When you came in, you really struck a chord with the fans. What do you say to those that are going to miss you as the Doctor? 

Well that’s very lovely to hear, but I’m afraid they won’t miss me as much as they think they will, because how this show works is, the new guy comes in, you go “Who’s he?” for about two weeks, it feels a bit disconcerting, and then he’s the Doctor.  And that’s how it works.  That was my experience. I’d grown up with Tom Baker and idolized him for seven years, and then Peter Davison turns up and he’s young and blond, and what’s going on?  And within two weeks he was the guy. So that’s how it works.  It’s one of the many pieces of genius that define what makes this show special.  And that will happen, I promise. Much as I would love to believe you, much as I would love to feel like it can’t continue without me, it can and it will, and I look forward to watching it.

I've instigated a discussion about what nudity is to Timelords and I don't know how to feel. Also if Missy is wearing Victorian clothes and has her sleeves up, does that make her slutty by Timelord AND Victorian standards??? Double the scandals...
