hi i’m bryn and i’m expected to be out of my parents’ house in a month, i’m jobless, and i have about $120 to my name. i had finally gotten a part-time job in june but within a couple weeks that i was working there the store front got robbed, i was working right there with some customers and some man came in with a gun and fired a round or two before anyone could say anything. i’m not hurt, but it certainly didn’t help my untreated mental illness or my growing list of trauma. my coworker who was manning the other register is even more traumatized than i am. we both quit our jobs for our safety.

i’ve been trying since the end of june to get myself a job but i’m not even 18, have no previous experience and no driver’s license. i hope to find some place to work by september but i can’t guarantee anything and my parents expect me out of here i think on my birthday, which is september 6th.

my dad has been emotionally and verbally abusive since like my middle school years, and then he started getting more physical about it when i was about to turn 17. i attempted to get away and stay with my gf’s parents around last september, but when they realized i didn’t intend to come home my parents called the police, who used my own mental illness to take me to a center where i stayed overnight because i’d been cutting within the past couple weeks at that time. when they learned what was going on with my dad, CPS was called and my dad toned it down a bit after that, but all of this is the reason i’m moving in with my gf’s parents when i turn 18 instead of going to school, and i wouldn’t be surprised if my dad took my bags on sept 6th and threw them out on the sidewalk.

my gf’s parents told me i wouldn’t have to pay rent the first month or two or so, but tbh after that i really shouldn’t evade to pay them rent. they already live with a lot of people in a small house.

on top of all this idk if my phone bills and health insurance and all that will still be covered by my dad for long after i turn 18, and my dad will keep my laptop so i’m going to have to use my gf’s until i can find a new one.

so yeah, i’ll need to buy a laptop so i can even do my commissions after september 6th, i’ll need to pay rent to my gf’s parents within a couple months, and i’ll have other things to pay for like food, transportation, and if i ever want to get therapy/medication for myself i’ll need money for that too. not to mention the possibility that my dad might dump my bills me on me? i’m hoping he probably won’t?? also my anniversary is coming up and i’d like to be able to at least celebrate that?

anyway so i’m opening up commissions!! i’m a fan artist and if you want i’ll literally whip up a flat color sketch for like $5 for you!!! i’ll reblog this with a commission sheet. i also have a redbubble!!!! even just getting a few stickers would help me! most of my steven universe content is official merch!!!!

tl;dr: i’m depressed and traumatized which is making it really hard to do anything, i’m having trouble finding a job, and i’m expected to be out of my parents’ house by september 6th with $120 and my clothes and phone (yes, he’ll keep my laptop). i’m not asking for free money, i just want commissions!!
