Despite himself, Aemond can’t help the sudden fear that overcomes him. He thinks of Vaghar, his most loyal companion, and what could befall her.

He remembers Lucerys’ screams of agony, too.

“You couldn’t do anything to her,” he says, but he’s not completely convinced.

“Couldn’t I? May I remind you that it is I who learnt of our old ancestors, who lived amongst dragons? They are formidable creatures, yes. But even a dragon can burn.”

For all that Aemond likes to talk about unpaid debts, sometimes he forgets he is not the only one owed something. Lucerys is quick to remind him of where they stand as he should.

Almost killed Steve, ripped a steering wheel off from Sam’s car, shot Natasha on the shoulder. Became a US most top criminal after the bombing—which wasn’t me because I was framed. Then manage to fight a quarter of the Avengers in an airport. Then proceed to get help by a secretive—which is not secretive at all anymore-kingdom. Then got called because another war is happening by some intergalactic dried grapefruit wants to collect color stones. Died because the dried grapefruit snap his jazzy fingers. Then woke up realize it’s been 5 years after that. Then your best friend leaves you for some chick he barley took out on a date and left you with the metal bird you rip the steering wheel off from.

Then I’m positive you can pass your driving test. :)

Queen in the North

From “little dove,” to taking back Winterfell, Sansa survived and learned, and led her people to independence. Sansa witnessed Jon be named King in the North, but her coronation was more elegant and satisfying — crown, throne and all.  

Throughout the series, Sansa adopted the looks of the female leaders she looked up to. While this dress is entirely worthy of the Queen in the North, the strong women who inspired her also found their way into details of this dress.

Costume designer Michele Clapton created the dress with the same fabric for “dark Sansa” and the same fabric dye that was used for Margaery’s wedding dress, to represent their deep bond.

Clapton also pointed out that the wolves on the sleeve of the dress starts to turn into fish scales, to honor Sansa’s mother, Catelyn and House Tully. 

This detailing is also seen on Sansa’s crown.

someone just said sansa stark is classist and not a relatable character because she’s white… (I didn’t realize privlege really mattered anymore once you’ve been belittled, orphaned, beaten, and raped but?) yet dany is. dany, the woman who left essos in shambles after she got what she wanted (colonialism anyone?) and has used the unsullied and dothraki simply as weapons and pawns except for the very few that are close to her (missandei, grey worm, drogo) and simply shipped all the rest over to westeros without even a second thought of the culture shock they’d endure (let’s not forget she burned all the khals…. for their culture….). sansa grew up privileged, for sure, and she’s greedy, naïve, and selfish in the beginning. but after being nearly raped she tells shae “I would have given them bread if I had it” while we KNOW dany would have burned them. sansa “keep the gates open as long as possible” so all her people, of all classes, could be safe. sansa who did up a budget and rations on food so ALL could eat through winter whereas dany said “lol dragons eat what they want.” as well, dany demanded she be the queen of westeros without understanding the culture or the people or proving to them how great she’d be. she just thought she deserved it. so she burned a whole city, with most of the people inside its walls being innocent. i’m sorry, what?

sansa outlived all her abusers, was ready to die protecting her people in the crypts when she was never trained how to fight, is the smartest character in the show, won winterfell back, refused to bend the knee and gave independence back to the north, became queen of the north, rallied the northmen and went back to the place she swore she would never return to just so she could save jon’s bitchass, and became the hero she always wanted for herself, but she’s not considered a “powerful woman” because she’s a “proper lady” who dreamt of fairytale endings and liked to sew and dress up too?

Sansa, Thank you for teaching me resilience, bravery and what true strength really is. Thank you teaching me to be kind and patient and to lead with love. I grew up with you. I fell in love with you at 13 and now 10 years on.. at 23 I leave you behind, but I will never leave behind what you’ve taught me. To the show and the incredible people who make it, thank you for giving me the best life and drama lessons I could have ever asked for. Without you I wouldn’t be the person I am today. Thank you for giving me this chance all those years ago. And finally to the fans. Thank you for falling in love with these characters and supporting this show right through till the end. I’ll miss this more than anything.
