Sora wo Kakeru Yodaka

(Manga Review)

Sora wo Kakeru Yodaka is a shojo manga that originally ran from 2014-2015, and in 2018 was made into a live action Netflix Original!

While body switching in media is always shown to be a horrifying, and unpleasant experience, Sora wo Kakeru Yodaka explores the story of a high school girl whose whole life is stolen by a fellow classmate.

Ayumi loses her home, family, and the warm expressions of her friends as she is thrown into the body of her classmate Zenko, and desperately tries to find a solution to undo the body swap (all the while with an uncooperative Zenko getting in her way at every opportunity).

I had watched the series first, and I'll be truthful I originally HATED the character designs when I first searched up the manga. But it has a cute art style!

The way Zenko's design is drawn, you can both see and feel how she feels like she doesnt belong in her environment. But personally, Zenko's design was one of my favorite parts of the whole series.

If body swap is in anyway interesting to you, I 100% recommend checking this out. The series does have romance be a key plot point to the series, but I wouldnt call this a romance story.

10/10, please check out this story when you have a chance

baby genuises

baby geniuses is the first film in a franchise of the same name, first released back in March 1999. And while the film had success in the box office, it seems the amount of people who actively enjoy this movie is in the minority.

The story follows twins Sylvester and Whit, who have been separated at birth for scientific research on a project titled 'The Kinder Program'.

The decision to film the series is definitely a bold one, and I believe the suspension of disbelief was hard for most viewers when compared to something like Rugrats. None the less, this is a pretty family friendly film, with only one, questionable, adult joke that could be easy to miss.

If you want something thought provoking, and leaves you asking more questions than answers, this film is not for you. But if you are looking to kill an hour and a half, and looking for something light hearted to watch, Baby Genuises is a good film to watch.

Personally, I'm going to give this film a 5/10. I don't think I'll ever watch this film again before the end of the decade, but it wasnt a terrible film either
