Angrboda raised an eyebrow at the threat, inwardly debating whether she should urge him to do it for a moment before deciding it would be better not to. “It would hardly make a difference, we’re both rather immune to the chill,” yet she still relented and let him have some of his portion of the blanket back.

Angrboda chuckled, entirely too amused by the situation. Then again it was Loki, not her, that was currently enjoying a bit of the morning chill. "Yes, I am," she said it like a challenge and then preceded to tug more of the blankets over to her, "what exactly will you do about it, dear?"

“I sincerely doubt you’ll have to look too far,” Angrboda smiled at the young woman, looking her in the eyes. “I do not know if you can get them back, losing people is part of life sometimes. But you have me if you ever need me and I'm sure you could make friends with some of my descendants should you wish to.”

Her face softened as she looked at the girl. Monsters were something Angrboda was something of an expert on, given she was often called the mother of them. “It is not such a horrible thing to be a monster, most of the people i hold dearest to me would be considered as such. All it means to be a monster is that you are strong and there are people who think you will use that strength to harm them,” the words were ones she’d said many times in her long life, “often the only reason they get harmed is they provoked an attack in their fear for the possibility of it happening. Then they act like it’s justified because they were hurt but it isn’t.”

I cannot say it will be easy or fast, the Ironwood’s love for me was forged in blood and time but I suggest you seek other monsters if it is normalcy you wish to feel.“

“You’ll find when faced with someone powerful who comes back after being burnt alive most will be happy enough to let them be,” Angrboda chuckled, tapping her fingers against the palm of her hand on one hand at the reminder of the flames. “Fear and respect are not so dissimilar. If they refuse to acknowledge you as anything other than a monster you may just have to show them you’re a monster who they should neither poke at or try and tame.”
