VERY IMPORTANT BLOG UPDATE

Constant urge to delete this blog and start absolutely fresh is killing me cause I feel like I’ve curated a space that is maintained by me but no longer mine.

I am not unhappy with everything and everyone I’ve gathered here but it just doesn’t feel right anymore. There’s just so much that I feel detached from in this specific space but also can’t bare to part with. This is my time capsule but in a weird way I feel as if I’m stuck inside while it’s being buried. It feels like I am only supposed to speak when I give people something and otherwise remain dormant and it is by my own design.

This is all waxing and existential to say imma make a new stand alone blog link it in a final post and then abandon the two I have now. I won’t delete anything for nostalgia purposes but I pretty much won’t post here ever again. It’ll take like a bit but uhhh I wanna thank everyone who follows me here and interacted with me cause it really has meant the world to me but I gotta change something or I’m gonna go bananas.

I’ve been wondering about Swatch in CDAP AU for a while now. How did he react to seeing Spamton alive and as an Addison again? At what point did it get too much for him to handle?

Ok I am gonna write about this sooner or later cause the original plan for the beginning of the CDAP au was supposed to start as a 5 chapter fanfic of the weekdays before Spamton was sent to the Addisons and then the fic was supposed be second. The chapters were gonna be longer and kinda just Spamton realizing he’s alive again and h being passed around before ending up with the ads.

Swatch was the most constant person to care for him as he was the closest out of the fun gang and the rest of the mansion staff. Swatch was shocked and in disbelief at first, thinking the fun gang was pulling his feathers. Then he saw Spam and could see he was real and breathing and the addison he knew all those years ago. He treated him like a glass sculpture: he was worried, concerned, terrified that Spam would break if handled too roughly or cared for improperly. He didn’t want to give up caring for him but the fountain was very unstable, being at the brink of being deactivated. Whatever it did to Spam left him somewhat fragile at the beginning and Swatch knew little of addison biology or what happened to him. He had not choice to drop Spam off when the effects got really bad.

As of the point of the fic he’s just really worried. He asked Banner to call so he could visit but Banner and the other ads haven’t. Banner not calling is more related to that bitterness from the cut section of Chapter 9 while the others just don’t know. Spam isn’t really thinking about other people in the past as he’s still fixing things with with the ones he’s stuck with. If he saw him this healthy and stable again I think he’d be so happy but then realize they’d have a lot to talk about…

Further comment: Does the Ads opinions change at all knowing that Jevil knows more about the caller than they do? Or does it get out that Jevil knew the caller was bad the whole time he was talking with Spam?

My thing with the addisons and Jevil in my au is that they can sense of air of wrongness about him. Even if they knew he knew what was wrong with Spam or how he had inadverntluy and intentionally fucked with Spamton, their main issue is his vibes really are off.

You see, I headcanon that whatever the caller does kinda splices the secrete bosses between their lightener equivalent and what they manifest as as a darkened. Jevil has not been through the fountain and effectively purified and darkeners can instinctually tell what is a lightener and what isn't. Jevil and Puppet Spam were effectively half dead to a lot of darkeners as half of their beings effectively registered as nothing, unfinished, a mockery. Spamton no longer has that issue but Jevil very much does. It's also how Jevil is no adverse to aggression and thinly veiled threats/weird ominous riddles. He just seems unsafe to be around to them.

Though if they did have the courage to question him on the caller situation, they'd be very protective and defensive of Spamton. Even if Spamton doesn't consider Jevil a physical threat, they can easily see how Jevil's presence uneases him as Jevil would refuse to do the fountain process and thus still has the effects of the caller in him. It'd be passive aggressive and sort of them bickering how Shrek and Fionna's dad do but about who was worst to Spamton. Cause on one hand, they left Spamton to his own and the callers devices and ignored warning signs but on the other, Jevil purposely misled and caused issues for him knowing the gravity of the situation.

They could theoretically get along but it would take a lot of mediation from Spam. Jevil likes to cause chaos and the addisons really wish he wouldn't

More stories from hell (retail) today I was ringing up this lady and she goes oh I want to do part of this on a gift card and the rest on normal card and I go ok and then she hands me a folded piece of paper. I think oh OK it must be folded around the gift card, right? Wrong. It is a folded sheet of 8×11 printer paper with "$40" written on the inside in ballpoint pen. I go what is this. She says a gift card. I say this is not a gift card. She says yes it is. I say this is a piece of paper with "$40" written on it. She says "well it's a gift card." I say it absolutely is not. I am grinding my teeth. She says well I want to use it. I say you physically cannot do that bc it is a piece of paper. I cannot scan or swipe it. I apologize, as if this is my fault, and not because she is completely insane. I hate it here

A lamb probably was the perfect candidate for the next cult leader due to how the lambs were persecuted in the COTL universe.

It’s implied they were hunted, targeted and implied to be against the old faith due to this and thus THE lamb would recognize subtler ways followers may descent or avoid full indoctrination like the many lambs who refused to just throw themselves to slaughter for their gods.

The lamb was originally sacrificed in Darkwood which implies the lamb was originally a follower of Leshy or at the very least very aware of Leshy’s doctrines specifically.

Which makes a lot of sense when you compare how chaotic the lamb really is and what Leshy had dominion over …

I find it fascinating that, despite being the most scared and likely first to distrust Narinder, Kallamar, who also gets the meanest comments, got the least brutal maiming of the bishops.

Like yes all the bishops are all suffering and impaired in a way but nothing implies that Kallamar’s injury is anything but superficial. He can still hear as a follower and seems so blasé about it once the red crown has no hostile power over him.

Just something I found interesting.
