I like to imagine Cosmic Pep doesn't know / isn't aware that his form is very pretty and sparkly looking to some people or creatures, so he doesn't get why Gus is staring at him (this is just me gushing over Pep's design cause he's SO PRETTY). Meanwhile Gustavo already loves his own universe's Peppino, but look at this sparkly man!! He'd definitely be really fascinated by him lol
