I know a lot of people aren’t very happy with the all stars season but tbh?? I’m kinda looking forward to it (cautiously). Like I’ve wanted an all stars season for a while and I’ve seen others talking about it too but yeah I’m a little excited to see who will come back. All I’m saying is as long as it’s islanders we haven’t been able to romance before and not endgame islanders I’ll be cool with it!!!!! (Rohan I need you carnally) (and honestly bring back Dylan for the chaos)

Update - uhmm wtf guys ? 😭I just woke up to this and this is the most craziest y'all have gotten with the love. Thankyou so much and I'm glad everyone is loving the BOOPSTERS. Maybe they'll be back some day or maybe you'll be treated to some new faces soon since my exams end on 23rd.

Also Seb ->I wanted to do one guy per season ( I don't consider season 5 and 6 a season and I haven't played season 7 yet). Back to why I didn't add seb, I feel like he has more of an introvert energy as compared to these guys, like he's the more kinda quite funny one, and all the LIs featured in this are the loud funny ones, so I felt that the vibe was a BIT different.

Okay, I have some thoughts.

If you enjoyed Season 7, that's cool, I'm happy for you. If you intend to play Season 8, that's cool, I hope you find some enjoyment from it.

But holy hell, Fusebox. Maybe S8 will be good - people keep saying it's all the even seasons that are better (although I still maintain S1 is one of the best as far as the writing, though it does lack in other ways - but first try gets a pass), at least as far as enjoyment and good characters.

But here's the thing. Season 6 had its issues for sure, and we loved to complain about certain aspects of it, but the characters were generally great and a lot of us enjoyed it for that.

But no sooner was it over than S7 was announced. We didn't have time to soak in what S6 was, to let the characters live in our heads rent free, to start missing the game and thinking about what we wanted from the next season. I remember between S2 and S3 there was so much hype because people couldn't wait for more content, every day there were memes on the Fusebox sub from people dying for information. Releasing S7 so quickly on the heels of S6 made it less exciting because people didn't have a chance to yearn for it.

And now they're doing the same thing with S8, because with AI they can just pump out content. We all know it's to get as much money as possible (whether from the few suckers paying for gems or from ad revenue), but it's a great way to actually kill people's interest in the game. Hardly anyone talked about S7 after awhile, partly because the season was boring, but partly because of oversaturation of content. Sometimes you can have too much.

It's just like the show. When it's once a year, everyone gets excited for it. The winter seasons? Meh. So then the ratings for the winter season were low, and then the people who watched the winter season were burnt out and didn't watch the summer season. They're diluting their fanbase and killing their own ratings by making too much content while also not finding ways to make it fresh and exciting (being a CA girl was an attempt, but it ultimately fell flat).

Do yourselves a favour and stop rushing to put out new content every few months that's AI-generated, and take your time to create something good written by actual humans. Please.

Personally, I deleted the app the moment I'd finished today's episodes. Unless something at Fusebox changes, I have no intention of downloading it again.

my overall thoughts on S7, art edition: it's giving rough draft . i really have no idea how any of these design choices got approved in the first place

as an artist, and more importantly, somebody who has eyeballs: this season looked like absolute shit . i can’t speak for everybody, but personally i would be embarrassed to release work of such poor quality

not only is it hideous, it’s clearly rushed. i'm getting the vibe that FB took some s4-6 concept islanders and threw them all together at the last minute (still believe the theory that alex was going to be the redeemed eddie FB was talking about, before the poll revealed nobody wants that nasty man back lol)

weird poses, weird proportions, weird shading on everything, and almost every single guy has youcef's abs . rafael did when he was first revealed, even though he has love handles ??

this is just speculation, but i really do think the heavy amount of reused assets is to cover up signs of AI art. everything that is original, like hair, hands, and clothing, looks a hot ass mess . i think we’re all aware that uma's hair looks crazy, but it's not just her. pretty much every islander has an issue where the flow of their hair is "unnatural," like it was either drawn by AI, or by an artist that was paid one cent & pocket lint. if there were any human beings involved in this, whoever designed that blue tutu partywear and the suggested prom outfit needs to be fired expeditiously

the customisation options are severely lacking, and it's further limited by some of the stuff being straight up unusable. mind you, this is a gem hair and a gem hair colour. you have to pay for this 😭

instead of adding new clothes/hair/accessories, or at the very least, fixing the issues with the options we already have (why do the necklaces go under half of the clothing ?) ...they keep adding shoes. ugly as hell shoes at that. we don't even see MC's lower body outside of picking outfits , so what is the purpose of having like 30 fucking pairs ?? i know FB has a "thing" for feet, but come on man . these yellow ankle-breakers are the stuff of nightmares

clearly their quality assurance team has left the building, we’re the QA now 😭 problems that should've never happened in the first place, like the arm tattoo having no transparency on plus size MCs, the hole in the curly hair, earrings going behind hair, alex’s eyebrows, and rafa’s anatomically incorrect body were only adjusted after complaints. everything else is just gonna stay looking busted i guess lmao

oh btw besties I'd like to add, after seeing so many posts complain about seasons 5-6-7, that the issue you're looking for is consent. the thing you hate that the characters do is disrespect your consent and the fact that you said no. whether it's characters disrespecting your wishes, personal boundaries or insisting that you're saying no to play hard to get or you secretly want them- that's creepy at best, rapey at worst.

coming from the game that gave you s2 and the discussions about informed consent and safe sex, it feels like a low, cheap blow - because it is. yeah yeah, fusebox has changed so much it's barely the same company; but they advertise and profit as the same fusebox of the earlier seasons. despite the cash grab of the og app update, they've never denounced the content of the seasons 1 to 3.

so watching that same company use trope after trope where your MC is disrespected and has their consent violated - on national tv at that??? that's what you're fucking hating.

AI writing is already evil as is, and I can't imagine having to pay for that content - but having to, on top of the disappointment and anger- have to sit and watch characters actively take your 'no', and force you to mean yes.
