I’ve never been a real star wars fan but the phantom menace came out when I was 6 and my older brother was 8 so we were absolutely among the target audience and we had toy light sabers & we spent a lot of time playing star wars but my brothers were anakin and obi wan etc. and my best friend was padmé which meant i had to come up with a star wars oc and since my brother was anakin i decided okay. i would be anakin’s sister.
i made up a backstory that i was his twin sister who also lived on tatooine and i also had latent force potential but qui gon and obi wan didn’t even try to meet me even when anakin mentioned me and they left me behind.
this was an utter betrayal to me obviously, like my brother got rescued and i got abandoned and i could have been him and i should have been him. i should’ve been at his side. i should have gotten training and all else. i should have been a jedi too.
but they didn’t even care to meet me. so i had this intense grudge against the jedi and i ended up developing my skills myself and then i grew up and got myself off tattooine and set out on a mission as a rogue force user to kill obi wan.
and 6 year old me really embodied that role. she felt that. so when I was like 25 & rewatched the original star wars trilogy for the first time since childhood, when obi wan came on I was like ugh. I hate that guy. and my friend was like “WHY?”
and I thought about it and realized it wasn’t actually his character. I was remembering my childhood self insert oc beef.
Like, sorry you wouldn’t get it but obi wan and I have history.
oh i almost forgot! since it’s both autism acceptance month and lesbian visibility week i just want to give a shout out to all my fellow autistic lesbians! we’re super cool and i appreciate all of you, you make the world better ❤️
• A society that doesn’t believe in prisons instead makes all offenders teach middle schoolers (the greater the crime, the longer they have to remain a teacher)
• “Your sentence will be commuted if you can survive listening to the High Priest’s five hour long lecture and sermon about worms, and his new tabletop game (don’t know how they are related, but whatever).”
• All criminals become game show contestants, and the only way to earn their freedom is to win.
• “It’s your choice. Two hours of either Nickleback, Baby Shark, or The Song that Never Ends.”
• Fate is left to the hands of the wheel of (mis)fortune
• All Karens are required to become retail workers for at least a year (cannot quit or intentionally get fired)
• Cut down a tree? Replant it. Illegally knock down a building? You have to rebuild it.
• Criminals must recite a poem about their crimes in the town square. The number of verses is equal to the severity of their crime.
• Can’t pay the fine? Become a street performer in order to pay off your debt.
•Congratulations! You are now in charge of the local animal shelter/ alms house.
Edit: Cannot believe I forgot this one: “The sentence is that you must write the book you’ve been putting off for years now. You must have the final draft completed before you can go free.”
More reasons why the characters cannot fix everything with magic
• Children all have access to magic, but as they get older, their powers fade away.
• Mastering even the most basic spell takes years of training.
• “We killed the gods. Turns out that doing that destroyed magic.”
• The amount and strength of magic is inversely proportional to the level of industrialization.
• Characters don’t know what kind of magic they have and must embark on a long and arduous journey in order to find out what they can do.
• “We can use magic, but only on the microscopic scale.”
• The reason why magic doesn’t work is that no one believes in it anymore.
• To cast a spell, one must play the correct tune on a specific instrument.
• Only maker of staffs, rods, and wands has a 10,000 year long waiting list.
• Magic comes from the stars…and it can go no faster than the speed of light.
• The power of magic waxes and wanes. Right now is the part of the cycle where magic is at its weakest.
• People once had a symbiotic relationship with organisms that gave them the power of magic. The organism has been extinct for centuries.
• As the use of magic has a destabilizing effect on the universe, a secret society exists with the sole purpose of killing all magic users before they destroy the universe (some of whom have deliberately attempted to cause an apocalypse).
• “You must sacrifice a part of you in order to use magic. It could be a part of your body, it could also be your identity, or even your very soul.”

Anyone else think some of those jc leyendecker drawings are kind of yaoi ....
you're going about your normal day when, suddenly, surprise! you've been pokémon mystery dungeon'd!
unfortunately, due to budget cuts, the pokémon assigning quiz has been canceled. instead, you must spin THE WHEEL, assigning you a random, unevolved, non-legendary and non-mythical pokémon. you must now go on some sort of world-saving adventure as this pokémon. good luck!
tell me in the tags what you rolled, and how you feel about it - for bonus points, you can spin the wheel again for (or just take your pick of) a pokémon to be your partner.
bonus rules:
you're not shiny unless the wheel tells you you're shiny
take your pick of regional forms and evolutions (for example, if you roll vulpix, it's up to you whether that means normal or alolan vulpix)
apply whatever logic you like with regards to gender
