I've been thinking about the direct aftermath of the village's witch hunt and what Chaffee would be doing. Chaffee, and Chamai. Chamai being her alchemy teacher is something of a mystery that I don't want to spoil, but Chaffee being a chimera and wolf, watching khrosteia take over Qistina's body and soul for the sake of that self-preservation, maybe, maybe he might just sit there and watch. howl to the oncoming moon above? rushing toward her? Sitting and listening to Chamai as her world comes to an end and she's left to never live a normal existence again?

There is a new-ish npc of mine in the modern age, an alchemist detective who can peer into the gate to speak to and question souls for a moment, discovering how people have died, growing madder and madder as his cases flow on.

suffering for a name. . . But I like Giuseppe Rosalia. He's around 35-ish. has long greying hair over his eyes, smokes, he's always got a 5'oclock shadow. rough and gravelly voice, real sweet on kids, always eager for more knowledge in alchemy, found Qistina and the Atropa House when he was still a badass little 13 yr-old who thought he could sneak into the House. She saw the potential with him.

the most beautiful part of not only writing but also art is understanding and implementing the knowledge that Art is always subjective and there are no rules you have to adhere to. Watching speedpaints on yt and noticing how they use a line-tool for straight lines all throughout the image, for example, is not necessary. you dont need to paint a certain way, you dont need to line a certain way either. it is. a hard lesson to learn in your head because there are so many 'Rules' when making art/writing. but you dont need to follow them. who's gonna stop you?
