okay first i will say this ship is like a brain child* between me and @murderoushagthesequel

*(we didn’t create the ship but we have made it our own)

and that this is probably only our interpretation of it but alas i’ll share. i do have a fic of them (i say i want you inside me and you split me open with a knife) and so does hag (here). there’s two other works on ao3 and i totally recommend them but i haven’t read them.

james likes them a little weird which is why he’s drawn to pandora and regulus. pandora has always been a little odd since she was a little girl and regulus is that weird under socialized kid who’s only exposure to other people were parties his parents through (and then of course hogwarts). james finds it endearing that pandora would rip out her ribs for him and would serve him her heart for dinner if she could still be alive to see him eating it. regulus probably wants to carve himself open and give it to james too but most importantly he wants to carve james open and something about that drives james wild.

murder as an act of devotion… cannibalism as a metaphor for love… violence as worship… they’re insane for each other in the best possible way. i’m talking murdering people and having sex with their corpse a couple feet away. i’m talking sex in a coffin and there’s too many limbs and the body who once belonged to that coffin is currently out of it \\: i’m talking fucking each other to literal death if they could.

knives and other weapons are like… a must in the bedroom they’re covered in scars and from teeth and blades and who knows maybe a fucking bullet. and they have their initials carved into each other and tattoos galore and who knows james probably as “property of lovegood & black” (or whatever you hc pandora’s last name to be) to be tattooed on him somewhere.

But Sirius never saw it as a betrayal. Because his brother hurt him, but he recognized that he did just the same. And in spite of it all, Sirius never stopped loving his brother.

He was relieved, if anything. That of all people at that cursed school, of all the slytherin blokes he could have ended up with, it was James Potter that his little brother gave his faith too. That it was James Potter, there to comfort Regulus Black in their quiet moment. He knew James. He loved James. And he was more than glad that his brother loved him, too. Because he knew how fragile his brother was, when it boiled down to. And he knew that James Potter, above all else, would treat any man or woman right.

And if Sirius and his baby brother never did quite get around to fully mending their relationship, if Regulus still felt there was a level of caution or distrust to be had, preventing him from ever sharing the things that irked him to Sirirus, he was glad it could be James. It felt like a piece of himself, if he was honest. A piece of himself that Regulus still had.

So yeah, aside from the fake aforementioned disgust, and the rather heavy teasing, Sirirus Black was relieved that his best friend fell inlove with his baby brother.
