A tape back in the day that influenced me was a SPK live concert I was sent which was the Marketshalle concert from late 1983. The quality was not great but the percussion and the beats was like nothing else. Like a small snapshot in time when they were at a peak. This is from the peel session in 1983.

No.11 Southern Death Cult-Moya/Fatman(1982)

Released in late 1982 Southern Death Cult were such a short live band. The band line up was quite fluid and was playing concerts by mid 1981. The band though was split in early 1983  The band was then reformed and became Death Cult(different line up), before settling on The Cult. The best document of The Cult is a live concert on the tape of ‘Dreamtime’ which features better versions of SDC numbers.
