I think one of my favourite jumping spiders is Opisthoncus necator just because its common name is just “The Murderer” for some reason, so if I ever go to look at it on iNat, I am greeted with this very accusatory title and what is essentially its mug shot

Something that tickles me, is a story Anna Louise Plowman told on the Fathoms Deep podcast. Anna is married to Toby Stephens and plays Mrs Hudson on Black sails.

Ok so Anna was invited to a dinner party where Prince Charles would be in attendance (I think this is the sort of life you live when your mother in law is Dame Maggie Smith). And over dinner Charles was like "Anna where's Toby tonight?"

And she explained he was still in South Africa filming the fourth season of Black Sails. Charles hadn't watched it and was interested. He apparently wasn't versed on streaming services so Anna offered to have a DVD of the latest season sent to him.

It was only later that Anna realised what the cover art of Season 3 was
