Some time ago, during one of these promo things, Billy & Babe were asked to reenact the cap pulling beach scene. Let's just say that Billy changed it... a little.

This moment was absolutely fantastic. After putting on Babe's imaginary cap, Billy did this and you could see that Babe totally lost his train of thought there for a second, he didn't expect this and they just stared at each other. That was... wow.

I hope someone gifs this moment because it's breathtaking!

Step By Step

Actual office romance!? Boss x subordinate?! A familiar face?! An ex!? Age gap!? Adults being adults and having jobs and relationships and relationship histories!? Tropes galore?! @absolutebl Yes please.

In your opinion who is the most attractive BL star?

Mmmh, good question.

The first one that comes to my mind is Earth Pirapat (Tale of a thousand stars). He's maybe a bit too buff for my taste, but I think he's very attractive. I also like his personality.

Mix (Tale of a thousand stars) is cute and so is Nanon (Bad buddy). PP Krit (Itsay) was also very cute (and looked very young) when they shot Itsay, but I think he has lost way too much weight now.

And from the non Thai ones I'd definitely pick Michael An (History4) and I really like Sam Lin (we best love). He's cute and hot depending on how he's styled and I really like him in interviews.

And not hot or attractive per se, but more beautiful in a "picturesque child" way is Khunpol (itsay). Give him a few more years and he'll be absolutely stunning.

Let’s talk about some of the boys that just refused to get their shit together until the very end. The ones that couldn’t quite decide who they wanted so kept both until did. The ones that took their time and wasted mine with the back and forth. The ones that were LUCKY to get who they wanted in the end.

Xavier de Guzman from Hello Stranger the Series/Movie

Okay now I’ll cut Xavier a little slack since it was CLEAR he was struggling with his sexuality, more-so in the movie than in the series. He seemed to have a crush on Mico since the beginning, but he just couldn’t properly break up with his girlfriend Krystal. He claimed she was going through a lot and didn’t wanna hurt her more. He just couldn’t stop running back and forth between his commitment to her and his undeniable interest in Mico. I was annoyed and he made Mico cry a lot.

Gu Hai from Addicted Web Series

THROWBACK! Much like Hao Ting, Gu Hai hopped from a girlfriend to a boyfriend almost instantly. His dumb ass didn’t break up with his girlfriend until she cheated on him even tho he had already been emotionally cheating on her. Like he literally waited for the MOST opportune moment to end things with her. He was a hot mess and used underhanded tricks to get the boy he liked. He was charming tho. 

Vee from En of Love: Love Mechanics

Mr. Vee was a hot ass cheating mess. I’ve never seen anyone jump back and forth quite like Vee did. Like he refused to let his girlfriend go even tho ole girl was cheating on him too. He claimed he only had eyes for Mark but continued to break his heart by keeping him as the side piece for like a year. I don’t doubt that Vee really liked Mark, he was just indecisive af and highkey selfish. AND THEN HAD THE NERVE TO KISS THAT GIRL AFTER HE FINALLY GOT TOGETHER WITH MARK! Honestly…Vee could kick rocks.

Teh from I Told Sunset About You

THE KING OF WISHY-WASHY! I know, I know it’s a coming of age story. Teh was dealing with a lot: college entrance exams, developing crushes on TWO different friends at the same time, and also trying to help Oh get into college. I get it. But boy did he play Tarn, and Oh-Aew, AND HIMSELF! Because he didn’t know who he wanted he decided he wanted to keep Tarn and Oh-Aew around until he decided. He couldn’t just leave either alone. He ended up hurting both of them and ruining his opportunity to get into his top choice uni. I know Oh isn’t completely innocent because he was for sure hopping back and forth between Bas and Teh, but idk, Teh just made me angrier.

Mike from He She It

Might be the worst person on this damn list! WHY? BECAUSE HIS FAKE WISHY-WASHY ASS CAUSED SOMEONE’S LIFE TO END! Again, I understand that coming out is not easy, but Mike chose to watch the person he love drown because he didn’t want to admit he liked him. He hurt Pear and literally ended Peem. And it’s not like he couldn’t decide, HE REFUSED TO DECIDE! Mr. Have-My-Cake-And-Eat-It-Too.

Feb 2021 Part 4

Being a highly subjective assessment of one tiny corner of the interwebs.

Ongoing Series Thai

 Manner of Death Ep 14 fin - the ending was a thing of beauty and a joy forever. They rewarded their BL fandom with 3 precious gifts: rings, rice cakes, and a motorcycle ride. We honestly couldn’t have asked for anything more from a show that’s not actually BL. 

Brothers Ep 4 - what is going on? Do I care? Do we care? The dessert side dishes are lovely but there’s just not enough blueberry cheesecake. But then that’s kind of an existential question, is there ever enough blueberry cheesecake? 

1000 Stars Ep 5 - oh it’s great, Mix is turning in a flipping awesome performance. If you’re not watching it, you’re hopeless. What better use of your time could there possibly be? 

Lovely Writer 1 - it begins! It’s a pouty-lips-off with way too many sound effects. (Put down the cartoon noises, Thailand, and back away slowly, you abuse your power. Has Japan TAUGHT YOU NOTHING?) I enjoyed its little jabs at the BL industry, they’re cute. *pat pat pat* I hope Gene isn’t too tsundere to be likable. It’s a fine line to tread with an introvert main character. Pacing is good (as I have come to expect from Thai BL). All in all… it’s fine, serviceable. I like it. I may grow to love it. 

Ongoing Series Not Thai

You Are Ma Boy Ep 6 fin (Vietnam) - YAMB returned and finished up in one sweet little episode. They hit a bunch of tropes, and delivered a satisfying ending. All-in-all a pleasing little show. You should watch it, everything (including the subs) gets better as it goes along. 

We Best Love dropped a special episode with some extended content from the bar scene and new scenes from the trip apart and the reason for the break up. So yeah, best to watch it before season 2. Although they might provide these bits as flashbacks for season 2 as well. Warning, it hurts. 

You Make Me Dance Ep 1-2 (Korea) - eeep! So cute. I love a BL that uses dance and it added some unexpected romance tropes: fated mates, grumpy/sunshine, and a mafia/enforcer for the love interest. Also unexpectedly funny. Smart of them, with a dancer on the payroll, to have him do physical humor. (Also so many BL visual tropes: hand touch, pinky promise, rooftop assignation). 

Gossip 

Tell The World I Love You (Thai movie) was set to air this Thursday and… didn’t? Rumors are it’s getting a theatrical release in Thailand on April 6 now - contingent on C19 sitch of course.
