65. If they knew they were about to die what would they say/do?

Ahhh this one is super deep and sad!!! I had to spend a lot of time thinking about it!

IF Cha’l knew he was going to die it would be an emotional roller coaster lol

In this hypothetical situation, I picture Cha’l and his group of survivors during the Garthim Wars fleeing from an ambush attack. They’re low on supplies and the Garthim on their tails. He knows that if he doesn’t do something, he and everyone in his group is going to die. With a heavy heart he stops running, everyone looks behind them. (For this I’m just focusing on 3 character dialogues, I picture some more characters being present)

Cha’l: Keep going, I’ll buy you so time.

Fleur: What are you talking about just go?

Cha’l’s Gf (she has a name and belongs to @myfanartblogplusshippingtrash I won’t announce it on my page until I have a suitable finished drawing of them lol): Cha’l now is not the time for your games! If we don’t hurry-

Cha’l: No! That thing isn’t going to stop and there’s no way we can kill it with dull weapons.

Cha’l’s Gf: Don’t do this Cha’l. We can fight them. TOGETHER.

Cha’l: *holding her hand* I can’t return to Thra in peace if we all die here. Please, my love.

Fleur: Cha’l ...if...if you do this I can’t forgive you. We all won’t forgive you.

Cha’l: I don’t think we have much of a choice....Please...knowing you all are safe...is all I want.

Cha’l’s Gf: ...Then I’ll be right beside you...

Cha’l: My lo-

Cha’l’s l Gf: I told you, where you go, I go.

Cha’l: *lets out a sigh and kisses her forehead*

Fleur: Cha’l...(Cha’l’s gf name)...please

Cha’l: Fleur, keep fighting. You’ve always been strong.

Fleur: No...

*Cha’l and his girlfriend run towards the Garthim*

Fleur: NOOOOOOO!

*someone in their group, most likely Fleur’s boyfriend is holding Fleur and guides her in the other direction to safety*

*Cha’l and his girlfriend fight until they can’t any longer, they give each other one last loving look as the light slowly fades from their eyes. Their only sense of consolation is that they will return to Thra together*

FOR THRA!!

On September 21st 2020, Netflix announced that they would not renew The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance for more seasons.

This comes as a major shock to both Dark Crystal fans and casual viewers everywhere. As the show not only received critical acclaim upon its release, but recently won an Emmy for Outstanding Children's Program. The creative team behind Age Of Resistance clearly wanted to do more seasons. They knew exactly what they wanted to do and how they wanted to tell their story. They had put so much effort into their work, so this announcement of cancellation right after their Emmy win comes off as ignorant at best, and downright disrespectful at worst.

Disrespectful to the fans who spent so much of their time supporting the show, disrespectful to the artists, puppeteers, actors, etc who poured their heart and soul to bring the world of The Dark Crystal to life, and disrespectful to both the Henson and the Froud family who worked so hard to not only preserve Jim Henson's original vision, but to expand it to such a beautiful and well-crafted degree.

We cannot let this stunning tribute to Jim Henson's work go out with a whimper. Please sign this petition. Not only that, send letters/emails to Netflix, reach out to them on social media, openly state your support for the show and its cast and crew members on social media using the #ForThra hashtag. Let Netflix know that we want more seasons of The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance. Yes it's expensive, but what form entertainment isn't? Just because it's expensive doesn't mean Netflix should just let the show be forgotten without so much as a passing glance (especially just two years short of the first film's 40th anniversary no less). 

We as both Dark Crystal fans and casual viewers will not let this beautiful series die without the rest of its story being told.
