‘558 men who died under your command’ from The Underworld, combined with ‘43 left under your command’ from Ruthlessness, doesn’t add up to 600 men.

Which means that the guy who fell off Circe’s roof and died is canon to Epic the musical.

Penelope bringing Odysseus some respite and comfort in The Underworld and her standing with a completely changed Odysseus which is why he became angry. he’s a completely different man by the end of the musical. He’s not Odysseus but a Hunter, a different man from the one in No Longer You.

The thing about Odysseus is that he was so proud to be able to take all six hundred of his men through a horrific war and survive. And then he lets a cyclops live and he gets into the underworld and one of the first things he hears is the souls of his dead crew accusing him "558 men who died under your command". The baby he killed.

and then Polities shows up. telling him to lead from the heart because that's what he's been trying to tell Odysseus for so long. All of his regrets, all in one place to torment him

When the prophet tells Odysseus that he sees a man with his wife, a dangerous killer with a trail of bodies behind him, and Odysseus screams like he never has before, even when the guy told them they were never going to get home- chef kiss

Knowing that that dangerous killer IS Odysseus- donkey kick to the gut.
