#RulesWereMadeToBeBroken

My outfit of the day, #BreakingTheRules:
âDonât wear white after Labor day,â
Youâve heard it, Iâve heard it. No white after Labor Day! But, why? Whoever said that obviously didnât see me in this dress!
After a little digging, I found this article by Mind Floss explaining this saying:

Guess who broke this rule and wore white year round? Coco Chanel.
Trendsetter rule #1: Rules are meant to be broken!

HOW WOULD I DESCRIBE MY PERSONAL STYLE?
Sunday, 6/17/2018Well, it depends on:
the day,
the weather,
my mood,
and most importantly â where I am going!
You can safely say that I have always been a bit extra; I havenât been afraid to stand out from the crowd by wearing something daring. I have never been one to follow trends, just because Anna Wintour has decided that something is currently in season doesnât mean that I will have to go out an buy it- to the contrary. Just because the Devil wears Prada doesnât mean that this little devil will â I have always preferred Chanel, anyway. I march to the beat of my own drum â even if I am off rhythm.
I love the elegance and refined taste of Kate Spade, may she rest in peace â The bohemian and free-spirited flow of Free People resonates with my soul. The youthful sex appeal of For Love and Lemons invigorates me. I adore the simple and quaint style of Abercrombie and Fitch. I am energized by the eccentrics and bright colors of Betsey Johnson. I enjoy the variety and design of Vince Camuto â I could wear his heels exclusively. And I am complete by the vintage, tasteful and timeless approach of Chanel. Does that give you an idea of my fashion style? I hope so.

LOW-KEY OBSESSION FOR SPRING/SUMMER 2018:
Note: I had to take my original posts and edit them, so the publish date is incorrect. The actual date I wrote this post is below, highlighted in green.

What I love about fashion, is that nothing is ever definite. What is currently popular is not necessarily going to be popular in 3 months time, but then again, can never be dismissed completely. Some styles come back with a vengeance- bell bottom jeans, high waisted pants, crop tops; others never really go out of style â little black dresses, a sleek pair of pumps paired with jeans, oversized Chanel sunglasses. I am currently loving the classy animal print that is all the rage right now. My feet are feeling some sort of way looking at these shoes:

If you havenât noticed, there isnât much of a variety of âanimal printâ here, itâs exclusively leopard/cheetah print. Iâve always had a soft spot for the leopard/cheetah print, way, way, way before it was popular and let me tell ya, it was hard to find in such a classy style. It usually came in this overly fake, too big spots style that looked tacky to me. But itâs all I had to work with, so work with it I did.
Do you have a favorite animal print? How do you feel towards the leopard/cheetah print trend? Iâll give you a penny for your thoughts! Let me know on here, Twitter or Facebook using #PennywiseForMyThoughts
