A place where I post stuff about D&D: Homebrew and ideas (Both my own creation and one's I find.)
I'm also a voice actor and I'm in a podcast called Meddling with Monsters! Please check it out!

I just got my physical copy of this wonderful tome by Arcanist Press! It has a great introduction that explains why the use of the term “Race” in our beloved role-playing games is so problematic, and then offers a great solution for it that fits right in-between existing 5e rules.
We’ve been looking for a good alternative to “Race” for the character options we publish on our patreon, and we’re now going to do some tests to see if this model is something we could use.
I highly recommend you check it out! The free preview on DiveThruRPG includes the introduction & full rules for alternate character creation.
Do you like enemies to lovers because it’s hot or do you like enemies to lovers because you think of yourself as unlovable & unworthy of love and therefore like the idea of someone seeing all the worst in you right away and still falling in love with you anyways
Wizard: We have a weekly match. I’m teaching Bard to play. And they’re teaching me to trash talk. The cleric called. Your test results came back positive. You’re a stage five dumbass.
I want to take a second and just acknowledge how much it means to me that Marion is performed the way she is by Matthew Mercer. She's not neurotypical, she's a sex worker, and she's an older, unmarried woman. According to traditional patriarchal views there is literally no reason why she should be important. But she has these layers of nuance, and Matt and everyone treat her as someone valuable.
Like, Jester's difficulties with her childhood were never because her mom has sex for money. It was because she was lonely, sure, and Marion isn't perfect. She had a hand in that. But no one has ever suggested that Jester is messed up because her mom is a sex worker, nor should they.
Marion is obviously attached to Luc, one of the only other children in this story, and no one bats an eye at letting him hang out with her. Marion is shown to have some pretty tough anxiety, and it isn't magically fixed or glossed over. Marion has a potential love interest, despite being old enough to have an adult kid, and very obviously hasn't been "saving herself" for him.
So many complex layers which come together to make a character that is loved, talented, kind, and not diminished by her day job. I'm grateful she's around.
