A Reminder
Palestine is not over. Palestine is not dead. Gaza, the West Bank, the entire region between the river and the sea, and the various countries across the world where refugees have fled to, house a surviving people and surviving culture. Palestine is not dead, and WILL NOT die.
I'm seeing a lot of very valid despair online, but if you're someone like me, living a privileged life in a Western country NOT under active bombardment, and which is actually COMPLICIT to some degree in that bombardment: we don't get to give up. Not now, not ever.
You can still get involved in protests or direct actions (e.g. blocking supply), you can still donate eSims or fund UNRWA on your government's behalf, you can still hassle the crap out of your local MP. No, it won't roll back the harm that's already been committed, but all of those things are STILL WORTH DOING. PEOPLE ARE STILL ALIVE OVER THERE. PALESTINE IS STILL WORTH SAVING.
If you've bothered to read this far, you're probably already aware of what's going on over there right now. If not, check out Al Jazeera's fantastic coverage. But also remember that Palestine, and Palestinian culture, is more than just death and despair. Examples below:

Long live Palestine, from the river to the sea.

“If you have time to watch Netflix you have time for a side hustle” my side hustle is relaxing so that my body and brain can heal from by this nose-to-the-grindstone bullshit. I refuse to feel guilty for being a human with the need to relax sometimes. my side hustle is no.

WRITEBLR INTRO
ABOUT ME: My name is Cassander. I am a twenty-two year old from France with a morbid fascination for all things austere, provocative, dark, old and ugly.
I am a very private person by nature, meaning I don't like to talk too much about myself. But as 2024 unfolds, I made the promise to put myself out there a little more this year. While my main blog (@daweyt) serves as a place for inspiration where I put all the excerpts I saved from my readings that inspired me, as well as pictures and art — I want to use this secondary tumblr account to document the experience of creation, and hopefully connect with other creatives as well.
ABOUT MY WRITING: I only write original fictions — the genre varies but I often come back to thrillers, psychological fictions, literary fictions. My work is usually very atmospheric and philosophical; full of symbolism; with atrocious, despicable and sometimes downright immoral characters; and heavy themes. I do not write graphic sex scenes nor do I write romance as I have no interest in writing those.
I am currently working on my first serious novel or shall I say, the first I actually seriously intent to write from start to finish. It is titled "Thus Saith The Lord" and has themes of morality, philosophy, religion, obsession and identity.
Tumblr media
On the side, I am also developing ideas and writing scenes here and there for another novel, which is unfortunately still, to this day, untitled. While my main novel Thus Saith The Lord contains heavy themes and a bleak atmosphere, this second work of mine is much more twisted and dare I say... immoral. Think of it as The Dreamers meets Lolita — a juxtaposition of beauty and deviance.
Tumblr media
I must, by the way, precise that I like to take my time to write as it lets me refine my work, and I will not hesitate to take up to a decade if needed.
WHERE TO FIND MY WORK: I haven't published anything yet, but once I'll be ready, you'll be able to find my writing on Wattpad and Quotev.
WHERE ELSE TO FIND ME: You can find me on Instagram and on Twitter as well, although I am one of those people who barely ever touch their socials and will go without once they make it.

WIP Intro: Reporting on Atlantis
Tumblr media

An archaeologist, Dr. Howard Carter partners with the corporation Atlas and several governments to lead research on it with students and scientists in 2023. Among these students is the history student Amy Lee.
Her family, including her mother Jen and her father Mark and her younger sister Michelle, see Amy off. And then, three months into the research trip, the group disappears.
The Lee family, along with several other families, are left to figure out what happened. Can they handle the truth, especially when Jen is forced into following Amy down under the waves?
Themes: family, love, discovery and the consequences, corporate greed

CW: the ocean, disregard for human life, thalassophobia, social media, discussion of sub implosion

"The rallying cry that we are all Palestinians must abandon the metaphor and manifest materially. Meaning, all of us—Palestinians or otherwise—must embody the Palestinian condition, the condition of resistance and refusal, in the lives we lead and the company we keep. Meaning we reject our complicity in this bloodshed and our inertia when confronted with all of that blood. Because Gaza cannot stand alone in sacrifice."
Are we indeed all Palestinians?MOHAMMED EL-KURD

Apropos of nothing, that I care to talk about anyway;
I will keep writing men who cry, naturally cry, over big things and little things because it is important to me that there exist more stories where men cry. Because they do, and they should be allowed to without being perceived as weaker for it.
And that's not the image we deal with now. It's getting better, surely, but there are too many boys--and grown men--afraid to show their emotions because it's "not what men do".
That is bullshit and should not be happening.
Men are human and humans cry, they scream, they cower and they laugh. All of these are normal human emotions everyone should be allowed to express at whatever levels they naturally do.

7. The little boy called who called wolf: Write about an isolated village that gets attacked by wolves. Those who are attacked and do not die become werewolves and soon there is an epidemic of werewolves.
8. If she says so: Write about a woman who has the ability to make people do anything she wants them to. Everyone around her is aware of her powers and hence feel the need to walk on eggshells around her.
9. Come and serve the devil: Write about a girl who moves to a small town. After she has settled in and starts looking for a job, she is hired as a waitress in the town’s most popular bar. However, the owner of the bar, unbeknownst to her, is the devil himself.

11. Be careful what you wish for: Write about a person who gets into an argument/fight and says something they regret. The next day that person finds out that their “wish” came true.
12. The mark of the cursed: There is a curse spreading around town and no one knows why it is happening. The pattern goes as follows: One day, a mark of a specific shape appears on a person’s skin indicating that they are now cursed. Your characters have to figure out a way to break the curse (as well as why this is happening to them) before it comes true. If they don’t figure this out in time, the curse will become irreversible.

lesbian separatism is truly a rot in the sapphic community. the idea that a specific sexuality is morally better, has a higher claim to some parts of history, the outright hatred of bisexual sapphics in the name of ‘preserving lesbian history’ as if bisexuals haven’t been here helping build lesbian history through the entirety of it, and the blatant ignorance of well documented history supporting and advocating for bi dykes goes to show that queer people can perpetuate bigotry too.
bisexuals have always been dykes, we’ve always been stud, butch and femme, and if you think otherwise i encourage you to look throughly into bisexual history and dismantle your superiority complex. lesbians and bisexuals have so much more in common then we have differences.
