Expectations of self

I’m thankful for all the people God put in my life

At the different intervals that he did

Things were never perfect But I know why I’m here today I’m thankful for all the pain Even for being oblivious For having no sense of self-awareness No sense of self-worth No sense of self at all Because of it

I found my sense of purpose It all opened my eyes Who knows where I was going? Who knows where I could’ve ended up? But I know I didn’t want to accept that my destiny was a life full of pain I knew I needed to look in the mirror and tell myself I will not accept anything less than what I expect
