I’ve always thought Toby and Ardy would be super great friends! Toby has such a thing about people thinking he should be with someone young and short “like [him]” that I think he would stubbornly refuse on principle to hook up with Ardy (his loss! Ardy is the BEST and I would kill to hang out with him even once!) But them as BFFs? Ardy letting Toby practice his knot work on him while Ardy eats whatever baking Toby came up with and they gossip about their older boyfriends who refused to be happy? Chefs kiss

And I think that Laurie and Caspian being friends, talking about how they feel about what they consider morally questionable relationships, Laurie telling Caspian what he gets out of his relationship would hopefully help Caspian talk through things with someone he wasn’t sleeping with or in a relationship with…they deserve to be friends so much

I am devouring Alex Hall’s back catalogue- I’ve just finished How to Belong With a Billionaire and immediately started For Real - and it’s really fun to see the way they have reused some of the same ideas. Like, you actually are allowed to do that. Also I think Arden and Toby should be allowed to hook up just once as a treat, but Caspian and Laurie definitely shouldn’t.
