“All that anger...” Nikki approached behind him when she saw him slam his laptop closed. “Too much testosterone in the water these days.”

Caleb was having a pretty bad case of writer’s block. After staring at the screen until the words no longer looked like words, he slammed his laptop closed with a groan. Remembering he was in public, he looked around sheepishly. “Sorry.” // @secretsummerstarters

Hugo smiled at his words and rested one of his hands on the curve of her butt. “You’re so beautiful and you make me happy,” he said with a grin.

Nikki chuckled at his words. “Thank you.” She spoke, wrapping her arms around him once she put the glass down. “Not what I meant but still appreciated.”

“I have. And it’s cleared up a lot of things in my life. Helped me realize stuff also. Without it I’m actually happy, Imogen is pregnant and we are engaged.” 

“When did I ask? Am I that drunk already?”

Hugo smiled and nodded, taking his glass of whiskey and sipping it. “I’m fine with whiskey. It’s delicious,” he said smiling. He wrapped his arm around her and kissed her on the forehead. “What do you want to do while we drink?”

“Mh... tell me something.” She suggested, thinking she was talking about herself too much anyway.

“Sounds good. I’ll take Diego over to her place and be back soon,” Hugo said before kissing her cheek in return and walking off to find Diego. It didn’t take long to take him over since he loved the babysitter and Hugo was back in the apartment after ten minutes. “I’m back, love,” he said and walked into the kitchen.

Nikki nodded as she walked towards the kitchen filling up two glasses and drinking one before Hugo even came home. But she had her glass filled up again. She looked up as she heard the front door and turned to see him walking in. “I poured whiskey but we can do tequila after this if you want.”

Hugo kissed her back happily before calling the babysitter. They talked for a little bit before hanging up. “She is fine with watching him for a few hours,” he said smiling, bringing her in his arms again.

“Great. I hope I won’t have to worry about her.” Nikki teased a little kissing his cheek for a moment. “I’ll fill up the glasses then.”

“Sounds like a great night to me,” Hugo said before kissing her cheek and then her neck playfully. “I’ll call the babysitter right now.” Hugo smiled at her and pulled out his phone to call the babysitter.

“Okay good.” she nodded and pulled into a little kiss before she looked at him again, not sure if she was supposed to feel bad that he would have to make Diego be with someone else.

“Yeah?” Hugo smirked as he rested his hands on her hips, pulling her closer to him. “What kind of things?”

“Oh you know. Get a bit tipsy, fool around a little.”
