sydney giving adrian her cross necklace (the only thing that was truly hers and not connected to the alchemists her abusers) to cheer him up after he told her about how bad his depression was because of spirit

adrian sitting in the middle of the sun for an extended period of time as a whole ass vampire - almost dying - just to see sydney shine and be truly happy 

sydney drinking a slush full of sugar with adrian when she was terrified of sugar and hadn’t had it for years to cheer him up after witnessing his father verbally abusing him (and also lying about it being sugar free so he wouldn’t worry)

adrian paying more attention to sydney and her being in a bad situation than the people that actually knew her before he had even spoken to her in the end of last sacrifice

watching this youtube video about victorian haircare wherein the woman testing the products out inhales so much alcohol fumes she gets tipsy and that’s joining lead in everything, corsets, and doctors who cured hysteria with vibrators in “reasons why victorian women loved fainting”

Adrian's terrible VA pick-up lines become SO much better when you imagine he's saying them to be as publicly annoying about his fake relationship with Rose as possible. Adrian yells HEY SEXY WANNA GET NAKED IN THE HOT TUB at Rose within earshot of Stanton so the Alchemists will think he was being indecent in the hotel spa all night instead of sneaking out the back door to go to a romantic night picnic with Sydney

Adrian and Rose's chaotic friendship sometimes does convince people at Court that they are dating, but they use that to their advantage. Dimitri has no comments when asked, only a small twinkle in his eye before he turns and walks away.

When Adrian asks Sydney to dance at Sonya's wedding, he makes sure to make some very loud plans with Rose after. "Hey, I'm coming over to your place, right? Tell Comrade to get some chaps ready for me," a dramatic wink. Nobody is surprised when he vanishes into the night to help Sydney with a spell. Everyone wonders what Rose and Dimitri see in him, though.

Eh, probably the money.

I still don’t understand how Rose and Dimitri is so popular. While they’re fine in the later books they start flirting and kiss for the first time while she is 17 and he is her mentor. Am I one of the only people that can’t get past that?

Saw a post talking about how most people seem to have read the books in their teenage years which makes it worse in my opinion?? We should not be suggesting to young girls that this is okay

Been rereading Vampire Academy. Old favorite story of mine from back in high school. It feels nice to revisit these characters.
