Teeny Tiny Dragon Age Theory

I have a tiny theory about Fenris’ lyrium tattoos!

Basically I know we’ve been told through dialogue and established lore that those markings were the product of an ancient tevinter ritual right? BUT as Solas points out numerous times; much of tevinter’s magic and rituals were scavenged from the ruins of the elvhen empire. So what if the ritual to brand someone with lyrium was an ancient elvhen one? The markings DO resemble vallaslin. So what does this imply? Well to be honest I’m not entirely sure and I’m sort of hoping someone can take this little idea a bit further!

I’m a little shaky on my lore so my point may not even be a slightly valid one but…thoughts anyone?
