“Gabriel and Isaiah…” Rebekah tested the names on her tongue before shrugging without care. “Doesn’t ring any bells.” Okay, she did remember them, but it was not a cute look to recall ancient lovers so quickly. Not while one enjoyed the bliss of a committed relationship. “Ahhhh, Isaiah… The bloke I turned with the De Martels. Good times. Met his maker at the hands of Niklaus if I recall.” Most of her lovers did.

Bryn’s cause for resurfacing such a memory made the blonde grin. For a moment, they were two sisters discussing lovers and nothing more. “Wasn’t that Gabriel a looker? Good for you. So is that-” The original’s eyes lowered to meet Demon Spawn. “Tell me you let Magical Baby Daddy know about this whole mess.” Leave it to a Mikaelson to make a complex situation even more complicated. “Hope it was good at least, considering.”

                Trust her sister to almost make it into a gossip session. Her lips curve upwards, followed by a genuine laugh, head shaking. It takes her a moment for the amusement to leave, though she’s glad for the lighter subject, glad they seem to have gotten past their issues. She was going to need her on her side for this. “ He was. “ she muses, leaning back in her chair. “ Still is. “ she grins a little. “ Good would be an understatement. “ she winks back playfully. It was true, Gabriel was good in the bedroom, however unexpected the two of them getting together had been. Trust Bryn to have slept with both brothers at one point in time or another. Luckily, there had never been anything between her and Isaiah except perhaps mutual loneliness, an itch to scratch. 

     Bryn snorts. “ Tell him? Please. That would add a whole new layer of complicated to this entire situation, I think he’d kill Niklaus the second he got within a mile radius. “ brunette drawls dryly. Another pause. “ Besides, I wouldn’t know where to start. He was only passing through, we didn’t exactly exchange contact info. “ she scoffs. 

     It felt nice, to sit here with her sister and talk again, she hadn’t realised how much she’d missed it during the years with The Hollow. The smile that graces her lips is genuine, as is her tone. “ I missed you. “ she admits before adding teasingly. “ But don’t let it go to your head. “ lips twitch further upwards into a grin. “ Let us forget this nonsense, tell me, how are you and Marcel? “ eyebrows ride, wriggling playfully.

Perhaps picket fences were a modest version of Rebekah’s fantasy (she much preferred a glitzy high-rise), but the sentiment was there. Things were finally working in her favor with Marcel, though sometimes, in quiet moments of the night, the original could not help but daydream about what their family might’ve been. A little boy with a devious Mikaelson grin and a little girl with perfect Gerard curls. Rebekah responded to her sister’s kindness with a smile, but returned the conversation to the more pressing matter at hand.

Leave it to the bloody Hollow not to be finished meddling with the Mikaelsons. At the very mention of the vengeful spirit, the blonde threw up her hands in defeat. “And here we thought she went straight back down to the pits of hell. So, you believe the Hollow might be using your baby as a vessel?” As if her family had not already undergone such heartache and despair due to the ancestor baring Labonair blood.

Narrowing her eyes, the vampire pointed a finger at Bryn’s stomach. “Listen here, bitch. If you’re in there messing with my niece or nephew, you’ve got something coming. I’ve just spent several years resorting to FaceTime to see my siblings so… we’re not doing this again.” Rebekah lifted her gaze to meet her sister’s. “We are not doing this again. I’ll make sure of it.”

                     A small laugh escapes the brunette’s throat, lips forming a thin smile. “ Yes, well, apparently she’s more stubborn than even the Mikaelson’s. “ she shrugs slightly in answer to her sisters question, doesn’t really want to think about it and does her best to put on a brave face. She wasn’t sure which was worse, The Hollow using her to create a vessel or if this was genuinely a miracle child? The sound of crying haunted her dreams, Bryn knew nothing of being a mother. Gaze dims and she clears her throat. “ I don’t know Rebekah, your guess is as good as mine. “ the words as terse but it’s not directed at Rebekah, it’s directed at this entire situation that’s as fucked up as any The Mikaelson’s liked to find themselves in. 

       There’s a slight chuckle at her sisters threat, a hint of genuine amusement but it’s gone as soon as it comes, her sisters insistent words setting a somber mood. She avoid meeting her gaze for a long moment, composing herself as she considers her choice of words. It’s funny how she doesn’t know what she wants. The thought of telling the others fills her with dread and it would be much easier to hide it if they didn’t have to see eachother in person, but she missed them too, her family. 

      Instead she avoids the subject entirely, not responding to her sisters words, gaze raising back to meet hers. “ There’s one more thing I should probably tell you- The father. . . Do you remember Gabriel and Isaiah? Well uh, might have had a reunion with the former of the two. “ a sheepish smile, hand reaching to tuck hair behind her ear, a nervous habit,
