to say today had been exhausting was probably an understatement. for what reason? probably multiple, but the point of the matter was that lore was practically on the brink of exhaustion. yet at the same time he was sitting outside in the dead cold of winter ( in so definitely not the right kind of warm clothes ) with a coffee in hand. smart. but it was nicer at night, quieter. the people coming and going were just heading home after far too late shifts, or even the rare few heading out for the earliest of mornings. it was the perfect kind of quiet for lore to just try and relax and let the world pass by him. 

that being said, his eyes drifted to another about to walk over a patch of ice that he himself had had the ungraceful time of dealing with earlier, and it was enough to force his mouth to move, even if his words were on the quieter side, “you should watch out– the ice. um.. you could fall?”

               JANGMI was drained; she was overly tired and had half a mind to just give up. she’d been running on empty for the past few days and today -- a day that felt rather bleak and dreary from the moment she woke up -- felt like it could possibly be the day she broke. the girl walked through the day like an absolute zombie. she was slow-moving and slow to react to everything. if someone were to speak to her, she’d just look at them with tired, round brown eyes.

               SO, when she heard someone call out to her that she was running the risk of falling on the ground, jangmi stopped in the center of the aforementioned ice. she blinked at lore before looking down at the ground. ❝  wow. when did that get there??  ❞ she asked aloud, rather dumbly. had it been there when she took this way earlier? she wasn't sure, but likely. ❝  gotta love the winter, right??  ❞ jangmi questioned him, giving him a slight eyebrow raise. she recognized his face from seeing him around dallyeog, but she didn’t really know him. it was sweet of him to let her know the risk she took, but then again . . . she wasn’t sure how she’d get off the ice now that she was on it. ❝  would i be the worst if i asked you for a hand?? i mean, i’m sure it’d be hilarious if i fell down but i don’t want to break a bone.  ❞

                                  running after yoda only reminded her that she needed to stop complaining about working out and just do it . yuri was able to forget the agony that she felt in her legs when she saw that her pup led her to her friend , jangmi . finally catching up to her dog , she sighed as she was finally able to rest and catch her breath . yuri knew she could count on her little poof ball to keep her on her toes . “ so you two are partners in crime , huh ? no wonder why he randomly dipped off . he wanted to beg you for treats ! bad yoda and bad jangmi , “ she placed both of her hands on her hips and shook her head at them . it was so adorable seeing the two of them together . she could only imagine what type of trouble these two have gotten into . “ i could never be mad at baby yoda . he gets away with everything . other than committing crimes with him , what have you been up to , babe ? i haven’t seen you in so long it seems . “

001. is your muse romantic at all? or do they fully enjoy the single-life?

               JANGMI loves the idea of love, but isn't all that fond of it in practice. she's much too tongue-tied around anyone she's interested in, her hands sweat and she's overthinking every single thing that comes out of her mouth. it's hard for her to feel one hundred percent self-assured when she's around someone she's got a crush on, much less someone she feels as though she's in love with.

002. what is their love-language? words of affirmation? acts of service? receiving gifts? quality time? or physical touch?

              HER love language is without a doubt words of affirmation. she knows how good she always feels when someone she admires tells her that she's doing a good job or that they believe in her, so she likes to give out what she gets. if you ever need a pep talk, call jangmi.

003. what would be the perfect date for your muse?

              JANGMI'S ideal date would be a romantic picnic under the stars, filled with delicious fruits and good conversation. after that, she'd love to go watch a movie with them in a sort of drive-in style, cuddled up under so many fluffy blankets and just enjoying one another's company.

004. does your muse have a type? or do they not care about that?

              AS MUCH AS she'd like to believe that she doesn't have a type, she finds herself time and time again drawn to the strong and silent types. strength is a trait that she absolutely adores ( and just wish she could have for herself! ) so anyone whom she perceives as being strong and able to hold their own has her heart.

005. do they believe in real love? soulmates? love at first sight?

              ABSOLUTELY. just, absolutely. all three are true instances in her life, because she falls in love at first sight every so often, is incredibly sure that her parents were soulmates and, just, come on -- true love has to be real! don't ask her why! it just has to be!

006. how do they imagine their future? married? single? owning those one-night stands?

              JANGMI has never been the type for casual hookups, thinking herself far too fragile to be able to handle such a fling. she'd love to find the love of her life and have them grow old together, but it's not really her end goal. she will be okay if she doesn't find mister or missus right, but it'd be nice to.

                        being a dog mom was not all cute pictures for instagram and warm cuddles at night . it was seriously almost like , being a real mom . she didn’t know how other dog parents felt but she knew from her own experiences that this stuff wasn‘t for the weak . especially with a dog as hyper as hers . to be a small poof ball , yoda was very demanding . and very spoiled . which is why a freezing yuri was standing in the park letting her dog , well , be a dog . he was generally well behaved but today something was way off . she could tell by the way he snuck away and ran away from her at lightning speed . she was so not in the mood for a high speed chase . “ yoda !! get back here !!! “ she yelled , quickly moving her feet to catch up with her pomeranian . how the hell could he be out running her ? after five minutes she caught him sniffing and jumping on someone excitedly . “ well i’m a little bit jealous . he doesn’t give me half the attention he’s giving you . and i’m his mother . “ she stated , her mouth in a pout . she was actually kind of upset her dog was giving them more attention than her but that’d have to be a conversation for later .

            FOR A POMERANIAN, yoda really could move. of course, the sudden appearance of such a sweet little face didn’t bother jangmi in the slightest. her heart could have burst at the sight of him, and she was sure to press a kiss on his sweet little head.    ❝  why, hello, handsome !! aren’t you just the cutest thing ?? ❞ she greeted, smiling from ear to ear and so hard that she worried her face could freeze like that. the sound of another voice caused jangmi to look up and see yuri, giving her a smile as well -- maybe not as bright, but still welcoming ( it was always fun to see yuri !! )    ❝  maybe he recognizes me ?? i mean, i always sneak him some extra treats when you’re not looking. oh wait -- i shouldn’t have told you that. it’s our little secret.  ❞ jangmi giggles before holding up yoda.    ❝  you can’t be too, too angry at him, right ?? i mean, how could you ever be mad at such a darling little face ??  ❞

DANBI!

it’s been a day. a whole delivery mess up over three separate packages, completely crossed wires and some of the worst communication she’s ever had to deal with since she started working at the post office. danbi is tired! she’s looking forward to getting home and unwinding, forgetting about everything that’s infuriated her today, because she’s still got to sort out the remaining package whose owner still hasn’t picked up. a hot bath, ramen for supper, maybe even a little distraction from next door, or a karaoke session all by herself. but this just isn’t her day.

she doesn’t even get to say anything in response before she’s got some neighbour launching into a tirade at her. memory drudges up what she knows of the other girl, all of her apparently most notable characteristics passed along to her wholesale, no broken telephone. none of those facts are particularly savoury, and altogether probably form a somewhat skewed picture of who jangmi is, strange little shut-in prone to hysterics and all sorts of strange misdeeds. not that her current actions are doing much to dissuade danbi that she’s wrong. ( if she’s honest, she’d say that maybe half of the rumours of the possible animal poacher aren’t realistic. but danbi likes to think people are more interesting than that. look at her, allowing depth for a neighbour she doesn’t even know, even though little tidbits of gossip make for a completely flat caricature of a person instead of the other way around. )

“ i don’t really know you, ” she says, outright. it’s not unkind, though it isn’t friendly either. danbi’s heard things about the shorter girl, but she’s in the habit of making things up about herself, not others, and definitely isn’t going around talking the other. she’s not exactly thrilled to have a complete stranger—whom she doesn’t have a good impression of in the first place!—pop up and assume things about her character. ( she’s an authority on this; she’s done it first. ) “ i don’t know what you’ve heard, but i don’t talk about people i don’t know. though i have, ” a small handwave referring to the general rumour mill she knows jangmi’s talking about, “ heard that one, too. ” she shrugs, a tad too dismissive, then frowns a little. “ more importantly, who told you that about me? ”

             ❝ I DON’T REALLY know you, either. that’s why i was so surprised to hear that you’re talking about me behind my back.  ❞ jangmi stands up for herself, but as she hears it come off of her own lips, she realizes that she has little to no legs to stand on. this is what i get for trying to be confrontational -- ugh, silly me. yes, there was the chance of her being completely off base and the rumors being nothing more than just that. no, no, no! jangmi promised herself to stick to her guns in 2021 and not back down, no matter how suddenly scared of danbi she was. maybe she won’t notice me shaking? ❝  see, i hear what you’re saying, but i just . . . i can’t forget what i heard.  ❞ yes, everyone deserved the benefit of the doubt, but jangmi didn’t want to have to go back on what she’d said.

          THE MENTION OF DANBI having heard something about jangmi is enough to get the girl’s interest piqued. ❝  what ??  ❞ who would talk about her? who would that be? ❝  i don’t think i can tell you.  ❞ she promises, frowning. ❝   i mean, it wouldn’t be fair to who told me, you know ?? ❞ gosh, she’s really good at this . . . too good. how many arguments has she gotten in in her lifetime? ❝  although, i’ll tell you if you tell me. how’s that ??  ❞

    as bona was more worried about her falling than her herself who only got brushed up by the other’s bike a little bit. seeing the other’s reaction, she couldn’t help but to grin rather goofily, seeing how she was getting so flustered - probably a natural reaction to cuteness. “oh, uhm…”, she shook her head quickly, showing the woman a gentle smile. “don’t worry about it! didn’t feel a thing.”, she explained as she placed a hand onto her shoulder, pushing her further up. “but looks like you fell pretty hard.”

    wanting to get the other off of the floor, bona grabbed onto her bicycle and pulled it back up into an upright position before reaching out with both of her hands for the other to grab. “let me help you up.”, she said, wiggling her fingers a little at the stranger. it slowly dawned on her that she was so eager to help the other because she seemed to be incredibly cute; something she didn’t exactly encounter often or even find herself liking most of the times. and still, she hoped that their interaction wouldn’t just stay at having crashed into each other once and then never seeing each other again. “let me walk you home.”, she blurted out, the words just coming out of her mouth without much thought. “you know, if your knee hurts. or so.”, surely she didn’t want to wish pain upon anyone, but in this case…. it was slightly different. 

            WAS SHE superhuman? jangmi wasn’t sure, mostly because she couldn’t fathom anyone not feeling the brunt of what she’d just felt herself. then again, she remembered that she was only riding her silly little metal bike; it wasn’t exactly the piece of machinery that the other girl’s motorcycle was. wait, how had she even survived this? jangmi let out another panicked sigh, wondering if all the things her father had said about her having a lucky star or a guardian angel were true.   ❝  are you sure ??  ❞ the girl couldn’t help but ask.    ❝  please don’t feel as if you have to lie to me for my own gain. if i hurt you or dented your bike, i’m so incredibly sorry.  ❞

          TRUTH BE TOLD, she was surprised she had even gotten that much out, simply because the more she was looking at the other girl, the more she realized that she was looking at a real life angel, a goddess, a vision before her. so, it only made sense that, through their first interaction, jangmi would have placed her own foot square in her mouth. what a life, she thought to herself.    ❝  walk me home ??  ❞ she repeats dumbly, before rubbing her head.    ❝  are you sure ?? i mean, i can probably get there fine myself, it’s just . . .  ❞ jangmi pales at the sight of bona’s hand before her. she wants me to hold her hand? she was feeling dizzy, but it had little to do with the impact or the fall.    ❝  tell me this, do you have a twin, or am i just seeing two of you ??  ❞
