Niomi looked back up at him with glassy eyes, slowly taking in the sight pf his brown locks and the way his beard tickled her skin as she rubbed up against it. Her eyes found her way to his beautiful baby blue orbs and she gave a grimace, before settling her head back down on his chest.
“I had to,” She sniffled, rubbing her nose on his shirt softly, “Anti, I have no excuse. I was just, in a bad point, I was stupid, and I felt like you didn’t need me around anymore. At that point in time a few people had made it clear to me that I was a burden to them, my own mother being one of them, and she disowned me from being her child. I decided that if I was such a burden to others, I must have been one to you, and you were just too nice to tell me.”
Her grip on his back loosened a little as she felt her heart sink slowly.
“If you moved on, it’s okay. I understand. But I just want you to know that I love you, I never stopped loving you, and I never will.” Niomi admitted.
“I love you, Anti. I still love you.”
Niomi weeped as she made her way into Anti’s space. She looked around, holding her sleeves between her fingers as she cried. “Anti? Are you here?” She sobbed, walking around slowly. “Anti, I’m so sorry I left. I just wanted to say hi, I just needed to say hi. I can’t stay for long. But I’m so sorry.”
Anti was convinced he'd just been abandoned. That she had found someone new and moved on, leaving him behind. He didn't blame her but he just wished she would've said something to him. A part of him was bitter after having spent so much time in the dark, waiting for a day that seemingly never came.
Until today.
Her voice and presence in the space was like a spark of adrenaline through his body. He didn't show himself until a few long seconds later, stepping out into the light.
"I've always been here..." he said quietly. "Waiting... for you."

Wilford stumbled as he was pulled in, letting out a little squeak when the door shut behind him.
He looked back at her with sorrowful eyes.
“Savannah, I want you to know that it’s not your fault. I had to go away. My mental health was declining, my life got busy, I lost some people in my life I thought I’d have forever.  I dropped off the map, not just for you, but for many others,” He admitted, running his hand through his hair carefully as his eyes darted to the ground, “I didn’t need you seeing me like that. I was in a horrible place. And you know me, you know my reputation, you know what I used to do, Sav, I used to kill people. I’m Wilford Warfstache. And while I was gone I ended up hurting people. I ended up hurting a lot of people.”
He looked back up at her with tears forming in his eyes as his heart began to shatter.
“But the thing that killed me the most is that I was hurting you. I had to come back, I couldn’t stand the thought of you crying over me. I couldn’t stand the thought of us not getting married like we wanted to. I needed to come back, but I’m still a failure,” Wilford cried, his lip quivering, “I’m so sorry, Savannah.”
He crumbled to the ground, clutching the roses in his hand firmly, causing some of the thorns to impale his palm. He simply wept on the ground as blood began to trickle from his hands.
Wilford hadn’t seen anyone for years. He disappeared off the map for reasons undisclosed. But he hoped she’d still be here. He’d hoped she still loved him. With a heavy heart, he knocked on Sav’s door, a bouquet of roses in his hand. “Hello?” He almost whimpered.
When Wilford disappeared, she didn’t know what to do with herself. The only thing that stopped her from doing something destructive was the fact that she was certain that he was out there, somewhere, alive. But why he decided to up and leave, she didn’t know.
Sav had just come home from work, getting changed into some comfier clothes before beginning to make herself something to eat. She then heard the knock at the door, followed by a muffled voice that she hadn’t heard in far too long.
That couldn’t be, her mind had to be playing tricks on her. Unless…
She went to the door, opening it up and letting out a gasp of surprise at who she saw, eyes flying wide. Sav was frozen, her mind racing yet blank all at once as she took in the sight if Wilford at her door with flowers.
“Are… A-Are you real….? Is this a prank..?” She asked hesitantly, her voice barely above a whisper.

Wilford’s heart pounded in his chest as he felt her touch him for the first time. Tears began to roll down his face gently, listening to her broken words.
“It’s real sweetheart. I had to leave for a long time. My life got bundled up, I hit a very low point and I didn’t want anyone involved, especially my darling.” He sighed, reaching out to her face gently and caressing her cheek.
“I’m so sorry I didn’t say anything. I was hoping you’d wait. I know it’s selfish to expect you to wait after my sudden absence, but it was only a hope. And I thank the lord, if there is one, that you’re here in front of me today.”

Waiting for her to answer felt like a lifetime. His heart dropped as the seconds ticked by. “I probably shouldn’t have even come... she may have moved on.” He sighed softly. He started to turn away, before he noticed the door opening. And standing behind the doorframe was Sav. After so so long, she was actually there, right in front of him. “Sweetheart,” he gasped, stepping towards her carefully, so not as to startle her. “It’s me. And I’m so, so sorry.” ((hehehehehe! hai cookie))
