a man self immolated in front of the israeli embassy in washington dc yesterday. not just any man. an active member of the us air force. he live streamed his death, and said that he refused to be complicit in a genocide any longer. he said that compared to what palestinians were facing every day, setting himself alight was nothing.

let me reiterate. an active duty air force member burned himself alive because he was so disgusted by what the us government was openly supporting. he live-streamed his own suicide, so the whole world could bear witness as a man in his military uniform set himself on fire to protest his government’s complicity in the horrors that we have all been forced to watch happen in real time. he became a new horror. footage of the immolation blurs him out the moment the fire catches, but you can hear him. it is over in seconds, really, but you can hear him screaming. he shouts “free palestine” until his body physically cannot make any sounds other than guttural screams of agony. and then he falls silent. a police officer arrives and points a gun at his still burning body, shouting at him to get down on the ground. and it is over.

his name was Aaron Bushnell. he was twenty five years old. and he isn’t here anymore because the political ruling class has decided that genocide is perfectly fine as long as it preserves imperialism. in the coming days, people will try to discredit him. to say that he was mentally unstable. they will try to bury his actions to save face and defend israel’s propaganda. do not let them. aaron knew what he was doing. he knew what he was doing when he put on his military uniform, set up his twitch stream, and made his final walk up to the embassy. he knew what would happen to him when he flicked that lighter. do not let them forget. aaron’s blood is on the hands of the political ruling class.

I hate that I’m always trying to find cool biology themed stuff to wear but all the “nature inspired” clothing companies just have like two crossed arrows or a minimalistic mountain on a sweatshirt. Fucking lame, that’s barely even nature-adjacent. Put the life cycle of a salamander on a jacket, put hyena skeleton patterns on leggings, put a damn field guide of birds of prey on a peacoat and THEN you can have my money. Do NOT give me a shirt with a leaf on it that says “stay wild” or some bullshit I would much prefer clothing that broadcasts to everyone around me how many teeth an adult Jaguar has or how some pitcher plants can catch and digest rats.

Just had a dream where this guy from my class was close w my brother and I low-key rlly liked him and I genuinely think I felt real romantic attraction in that dream bc tell me why I felt light and airy and giddy all the time like ALL THE TIME EVEN WHEN I WASNT THINKING ABT HIM I JUST FELT LIKE MY HEART WAS FLUTTERING AND FLYING 24/7 I genuinely think that was my first experience w romantic attraction

Anyway I rlly liked him to the point where I was questioning being aroace and just ready to forget all abt it to accept that I liked him (at one point I thought abt telling my mother I wasn’t gonna marry an Indian guy bc he wasnt indian) and he just kept going out of his way to hang out w me which made me feel rlly nice and THE THOUGHT OF IT IS MAKING ME FEEL RLLY NICE RN AS IM FUCKIN AWAKE AND TYPINGB THIS DOES MY AROACE ASS HAVE FEELINGS FOR SOMEONE FROM A DREAM DO NOT PLAY W ME RN

Anyway this first instance of him hanging out w me was him asking me to walk all the way around the area to join him and my brother to study (he was w my brother at a study table and he texted me saying he could see me and asked me to join him to study and i had seen them but I was already walking away but he texted me to call me over before I left like omg) and there were a couple more like he sat next to me in class during assembly and when he got up from his seat I got rlly fuckinv sad bc I thought he was going back to his seat but then he came back and sat next to me the entire class and I was immediately back to my giddyness again as soon as he sat back down like this man was putting me through the whole emotional rollercoaster

And I was like. Rlly touchy feely w him like I am not a touchy feely person but I just kept initating physical contact w him and he would just accept it he wouldn’t initiate anything back but I felt comfortable enough to put my hands on his shoulders and ruffle his hair and grab his arm and stuff and he wasnt stiff abt it he was comfortable but always respected my space

every time I thought abt how I wanted to be around him he would show up and ask to hang out like I would see him from afar and think aw I wish I was talking to him rn and then 2s later he’d be walking up to me

He looked like how I would imagine Declan lynch except light brown curly hair and hazel eyes

Oh yes and this girl named Balli (iykyk) had once kissed him at a party but he didn’t see her like that but she then became obsessed w him so every time they saw eachother they would pause and then the guy would turn around and start RUNNING AWAY and Balli would CHASE AFTER HIM calling for him to come back to her

So a couple times I followed him while he ran and gave him hiding spots and he was grateful for that and we got closer through it and omg I think I joined him in a hiding spot and we were cramped together in a small area and it might have led to something but I woke up

Dude when I tell u I was SURE that this guy liked me back bc he was just always showing up and trying to hang out w ME like specifically ME not my friends not my brother even when he’s around us only me

I’ve never had a male go out of their way to hang out specifically with ME but that’s exactly what happened in my dream wow I think I have romantic feelings for my dream guy
