The Water Benders are classic Big Red Truck fire fighters. They’ve got the high pressure hose in the bag; and every once in a while they use ice to keep the building together long enough to get people out.

The Fire Benders are forest fire fighters.

Less ‘use water to drown it out’ and more ‘damage control as much as possible.’ More control burning of brush to clear it as fast as possible. Stopping the spread and waiting for it to die out. Aggressively informing people about the Dangers of fire- because if ANYONE knows it’s them.

(Not to mention- forest fires are DRY. It’s gotta be hard for water benders to operate in that)
