Final reflection on CAS experience:
CAS- although mandatory, created a new person I am happy to be daily. A person focusing not only on school and friends, but also on self development. The singular fact that I went from not knowing how to make pancakes 2 years ago, to not needing recipes when making steak or pasta today is surreal. What gave me most enjoyment wast the idea of documenting many diverse aspects of my life, very similar to what social media influencers do on a daily basis. The strand I enjoyed most was activity as it provided me with sport- a very important part of my life since I was 4. Due to school I had to give up most of activities I took part in: swimming, rugby, running and CAS allowed me to develop my skills in some once more. Consequently, there were also many challenges I must’ve overcome. Finding the time to cook for my family and at the same time living a healthy lifestyle by going to the gym or american football trainings regularly as an IB student is close to impossible. Luckily I had support from my parents who would drive me to trainings regularly, keep the fridge stocked and help me mentally by still continuing to have a healthy relationship with me. The best skill I have acquired during the span of CAS was one I needed the most considering the desire to be in a profession in the future, such as investment banking. That skill Is time management. By becoming more consistent in my personal life and scheduling everything accordingly, I started being aware of what tasks I must fulfil on a day to day basis, which consequently helped in the IB programme. The learning outcome I’ve acquired over the span of CAS additionally helped me to not only notice the increment and importance of being active in multiple different areas but also how in turn promotes personal growth. I believe that CAS taught me how to be more aware of what my strengths and weaknesses are. Furthermore, by writing a blog documenting how I’ve grown as a student, son and person was a great for of documentation.

CAS PROJECT
Wanting to continue the tradition, in 2021, on December 12th my colleagues and I took part in writing letters to Amnesty International hoping to change the humanitarian struggles many go through on a daily basis, all around the world.
Our Amnesty Raszyńska group collaboratively met and discussed the threat being posed to the people Amnesty International were addressing this year. I explained everything I learned through my amnesty meetings to my family and as a result they were more than happy to help. My two younger brothers aged 12 and 11 were extremely excited to help a good cause.
My role in the “Letter Marathon” was not only write the letters but also publish the event thorough the use FaceBook. By doing so I learned the severity of spreading awareness as many who don’t attend our school were pleased to help by providing us with additional letters to the governments of those who are harmed.
By donating our after-school free time, one may recognise the part of Service presented through the CAS project experience and by using that time to write letters by hand the sequential CAS experience of Activity was additionally made of use.
Subsequently, due to the factor that although I’ve attended AI meetings consistently, for the past 2 years, I have never written a letter to a government official urging them to cease their authoritarian political agenda by breaking basic human rights, which consequently presents a part of Creativity- an important factor in the CAS journey.
This experience, however diverse had taught me reliance from ones family and colleagues as well as the increment of persistent, continuous and selfless help IB students continue to give in the toughest of times.

SERVICE- AMNESTY

On February 26th, during our amnesty International meeting we discussed the ongoing military conflict between Ukraine and Russia. People who were born and raised there are forced to flee their country, their houses, their families. Many struggled to cross the polish border, however many more decided to stay and fight for their country. This occurrence is heartbreaking considering how much pain the world has been through over the last 2 years. To help the refugees, my colleagues and I decided to donate food, sanitary products, clothes and  multiple other necessities that the refugees from Ukraine might need after leaving everything in a place they cannot anymore call “home”.

To finish my CAS journey, on February 14th I decided to live a day like Mike Wahlberg- the great Hollywood actor who is just like me, a fan of golf and lifting weights at the gym. This daily routine was infamously structured with a notoriously early start with praying for 45 min from 2:30 am to 3:15AM. My first workout of the day started between 4:40AM to %:15 AM. The workout involved “ the “RAMP” technique, working on his “range of motion, activation, and movement preparation”. This workout focuses on stretching and mobility work for the hips and back. After warming up with RAMP, he switches to unilateral and bilateral strength training using heavy bands and free weights.” At 5:15AM I had my first workout meal. After eating, I got showered and was out the door for my 7:30 am tee time at the golf club. I arrived home between 8:30 am to 9 am, and by that time, my family was be awake and ready to go for breakfast. With the morning's activities done, he gets to work at his home office from 11 am to 1 pm, answering emails and calls and attending to his social media. At 1 pm, I took a break for lunch, enjoying a New York steak with green peppers. Mark enjoys his food and likes the variety of beef and chicken in his diet. From 2 pm to 3 pm, I put in another hour of work before leaving to pick up my brothers from their golf training. After returning home with the boys, I ate my sixth meal of the day at 3:30 pm, consisting of grilled chicken and pok choi. Thats because Mark likes to keep the carbohydrates low towards the end of the day. My second workout of the day was scheduled for 4 pm. I followed the celebrities plan and started my workouts listening to Sportscenter on ESPN, transitioning to music when it's time to hit the VersaClimber for cardio. At 5 pm, I takes a ice bath and went for dinner my family at the hotel we stayed in. We sat down for dinner at 6:30 pm, which was a nice piece of cod with vegetables and saute potatoes. At 7:30 pm, I went to sleep. According to Mark, he says he needs between six to seven hours a night to ensure optimal recovery from his workouts thus I did exactly the same. The next day I felt refreshed and ready to start another amazing day.

On February 13th I decided to make tacos with my family. I was excited due to the fact that I could share my culinary skills acquired over the last year with my two younger brothers. I was  very pleased with the outcome and the positive feedback from my two younger brothers who surprisingly never had tacos before.

On February 12th after a long break from golf, I went to Turkey to take part in a golf tournament. The same day I landed I went to the gym in the hotel I stayed in. I continued to perform the same as I do in Poland. What was surprising was the distance each ball went when I played in the tournament. I was shocked! Usually I hit my 9 iron 120m, however yesterday I hit it 155m. This just shows the severity of strength training I do at the gym and how much improvement in other areas it provides.

On January 23rd, after going to the gym, I decided to make a stake with mashed potatoes and green beans- a natural source of calcium and iron. The meal was inspired by one of the episodes of Gordon Ramsay’s road trip available on amazon prime. The show provides its viewers with the diversity of culture and taste in the cuisine world, which as a result taught me the increment of steak in central Africa. I was taught that the meat's status reflects the myriad cultural contexts in which it is socially constructed in people's everyday lives, particularly with their race, religion and class identity.

On January 23rd I went to the gym for the 6th time this month. I managed to try out new training techniques, such as differential gripping of  the barbell, which as a result gave me the worse muscle pain in a while but at the same time the best visual results in a while. Noticing this, as something relatively new- I was excited and couldn’t wait for my next session.

SERVICE- AMNESTY
On January 19th I attended an amnesty International meeting in which we discussed the current dispute on the boarders of UK. The situation discussed a new bill being debated by lawmakers in the United Kingdom increases the risk of discrimination and “serious human rights violations” and breaches the country's obligations under international law. After discussing different points of view of multiple politicians and governing officials, we came to a consensus and unanimously decided to donate our time for further research and spreading awareness as students aware of that matter.

On January 7th I made a delicious chicken and spinach pasta covered in garlic cream. The idea to make such came from the cancellation of my favourite dish in a restaurant I go to relatively often with my parents. As a result I was inspired to make one home and boy am I glad I did. Activity- Gym
On January 4th I started my new year by continuing to work on my physique. I decided to change my training routine and start a new diet rich in protein and carbohydrates. By being persistent in my strength training exercises, I’ve decided to increase the amount of cardio exercises which in turn helped me to loose body fat and maintain the muscle mass gained.

On December 22nd Ive decided to make chicken with noodles and soy sauce. This is one of my favourite dishes when on a calorie deficit as it delivers a relatively satisfying amount of protein and carbs to the body, which doesn’t lead to pickiness later in the evening. Although I promised myself that in November would be the last time, on December 17th I once again went to the gym, however this time not alone. Together with my colleague, we have discovered that training in pairs increases efficiency, as both parties push each other to the limits. This was one of the most productive training sessions yet!!!

On December 9th, I have decided to encourage my brothers to eat somthing different for breakfast than cereal. As a result, I made for them and myself a healthy breakfast with whatever was left in the fridge. The visual result was relatively satisfying, however it was the taste that became a game changer for all of us.
