public libraries are so sick. there are five books I want to read and they're all relatively new so they're only available in hardback which is so expensive but it just cost me $0 to place holds on them. five books for zero dollars. it requires nothing but clicking a button and then going to the library to pick them up when they're ready. zero dollars. that's crazy

I like to imagine Chuck E. Cheese doesn't like the new way of stuff, either. He wants the coins and tickets and little cups to hold those coins back just as much as I do. But you can't dig your heels into the ground and refuse to go along with change, because they'll just build around you and you won't have stopped anything but yourself. Won't have halted any progress but your own. So he goes with the times, he uses cards and digital points and he does his best to keep up, but he remembers, late at night, how it used to be, and he wishes it could be like that again. But he knows that wishing for the past doesn't mean you can't enjoy the now, that a little bit of sadness at what's gone is normal, healthy, means you loved and enjoyed those times. Things change, and change, and change, and thats natural.

i was cuddling with my boyfriend last night when his shoulder started tensing up (like he was readjusting or gently pushing me off) and when i asked him if he was okay or needed me to move or something he went “no you’re fine, i was just imagining myself pulling a large rope. i didn’t even realize my shoulder was doing that lmao” then refused to elaborate and i have never been as attracted to him as i was in that moment.
