This is the third addition to the 'Safest Place To Hide' series. This time with Geralt.

It's been a while since I have written anything. But this one just came to me. As it happens so often. It's short but sweet.

And it just so happens today @onlyhenrys birthday. So my fellow Dutchy this one is for you. Happy Birthday 😘.

Geralt…. Geralt 

A distant voice calls to him. Like a whisper in the dark. One who he recognizes. 

It couldn't be, it's impossible. He thinks to himself. 

He was traveling when something attacked him from behind. He fought it off as best he could and he succeeded, but not without getting injured. 

Seeking shelter in the forest was the best he could do for there was no village or house in sight.

Again the voice calls to him 

He opens his eyes, a face appears.

But before he can see clearly who's face it is, he finds himself sinking back into unconsciousness. 

And then … the sound of crackling wood, the warmth of the fire surrounds him. A familiar scent invading his nose. 

The feather light touch of healing hands caress his skin. He opens his eyes once more and the vision he had before becomes clear. 

For it is you that is with him. And he sighs with bliss and relief. 

You are the one who matters most, You are the one who sees him for who he really is. 

To you he is not "The Butcher of Blaviken", a Witcher. A mutant who has no feelings. 

To you he is Geralt of Rivia. The man who has captured your heart by simply being him.  

Who will protect you at all costs. Who takes care of you. Who feels so deeply, it scares you sometimes.

Tonight it's your turn to take care of him. Heal him the best you can. Surround him with the love he deserves.

Providing him with something that no one else can give him. Or wants to. 

For you are to him, what he is to you. 

A place to call home. A place of peace and tranquility. 

A shelter from all the dangers in the world and judgmental eyes. 

A safest place to hide.
