There is a funny translation error in the german Version of Arkham asylum. Scarecrow calls Harley dear in english, which would be Liebes in german. Though in the german dub he calls her Liebling (Darling), which is a nickname you usually only use for your SO. When i shared that in a discord server, this meme came up and i simply had to do it. Bold Jonathan, very bold!

Listen I've seen a lot of "Tim finds Jason out as the Red Hood early and bullies him back into the family fics" and while I love that idea, I would love for someone to write a fic where it's Alfred who figures it out first and bullies his grandson back into the family via passive-aggressive compassion, etc.

Jason, prepared to take out eight drug lord lieutenants: Alfred, appearing in his safe house by his unquestionable magic: I do hope you're not intending to do anything foolish Jason, immediately sweating: NOTHING I'M NOT DOING ANYTHING Jason: I need Bruce to kill the Joker to avenge me! Alfred: dear boy, I should think you'd understand your father's moral lines about killing by now, having worked by his side for several years. reading the batman files without really knowing much about scarecrow is an experience. the first entry on him is a newspaper clipping about him just pulling out a fucking gun in the middle of one of his lectures when he was a professor to “demonstrate what he called ‘the conditioned response to the fear of death’” to his students, then basically just being like “🙄🙄🙄 you guys are being so dramatic about this” when he was immediately fired for it, and you’re like “what the hell” but then the next page is like “also he’s from georgia” and it’s like oh ok yeah that makes perfect sense actually

You had been cautious around John all day. He noticed, but thought you'd come around and tell him what was the matter when the time was right.

You were in the middle of changing clothes and talking to John as usual one night. Without thinking, you took off your shirt in front of him. Once it was off, you saw nothing but shock and horror on his expression. You realized what he had seen. The fresh scars on you.

"Dear, did you-?..." his eyes pleaded with you to tell him it wasn't what he thought. You looked away, ashamed. The horror in his eyes turned to devastation. A few tears formed and his lips quivered. Without speaking he took your hand and led you into the bathroom.

"What are you doing?" You asked.

"Getting you cleaned." He choked out. He ignored the tears streaming down his face as he disinfected your cuts. He was awfully quiet and clearly upset by your actions and the situation.

"Babe..." You started. He shot you a look to let you know he was paying attention. "I'm sorry..." You murmured. He shot up and looked at you with a furrowed brow.

"The only one you should be apologizing to is yourself! You don't deserve this cruelty." He scolded you. He bandaged you up harshly.

"But... you're upset with me..." You told him.

"I'm upset because the one I love got hurt by someone, by themself!" He argued. His tears came back as he finished bandaging you up. He suddenly hugged you. "You're a damn fool for thinking you deserve to be harmed in any way." He said shakily through his tears. He held you tightly like he thought he'd lose you.

i think jon would be well aware that he was falling for someone

he'd already be well aware of the potential to feel something more for you, it wouldn't hit him by surprise

he's surprisingly open emotionally, and he's romantic and soft at his core

so while he's not actively looking for love, he's not avoiding it either

and something in the way you look at him, unflinching

staring into his eyes, not put off like most people are

the way you speak to him so honestly and vulnerably, unafraid of what he is, at least what people think he is

it's enough to have him dreaming of you while he works, thinking of you, planning ways to be with you, scheming about how to get you alone

once he's certain that he cares for you deeply, he'll let the emotions settle in, enjoying them before he makes them concrete

there's something similar to fear as love, if you keep it undisclosed, to yourself, it's more powerful

when you share it though, it's beautiful

so he wouldn't take too long to tell you how he feels

and he wouldn't do it in an overly dramatic way

taking your hands and telling you exactly how he feels would be his method of choice

which is more romantic anyway, just him and his feelings, bare and honest and giving themselves to you

The Flirty Friend.

So we've all heard of Poison Ivy being one of the most seductive women in Gotham for various reasons. However, how do the rogues handle a flirty friend... a very flirty friend? You know the type. The ones who are overly affectionate and definitely hitting on people but hide behind the 'we're just friends having fun and playing around'. You are the flirty friend out to play with feelings!

Scarecrow: This could really go two ways. He could either stone cold blank any of these interactions and give no response making it incredibly awkward. Or he could surprise everyone and turn on the charms. Seeing that there's the safety net of friendship. He's more likely to turn on the charm and flirt right back. Even though it won't ever really go anywhere...beyond him having a tiny soft playful spot in his heart for you.

The Riddler: You know how you're his friend? Yes, well...can you stop trying to sleep with him!? What do you mean you're not? You look at him like you're ready to climb him- he's not open for business! Be wary, this man will ridicule you AND shut you down. Maybe not even gently...okay not gently at all but- BUT...he actually likes it. No seriously. He can't handle that even with his big brain, he's still a guy with hormones. He's so abrupt because you could easily have him head over heels for you and he can't have that. His reputation would be ruined! Oh but those lonely nights and let's not forget the times his mind wanders...

Two-Face: He's another guy who's only going to be okay with the flirting because you're friends. He'll flirt right back, knowing its harmless, of course, but be careful because he may catch feelings rather suddenly and then it isn't so harmless and Harv'...isn't patient or keen to be messed with.

Black Mask: Listen, friend or not...he's gonna try and sleep with you. If you're out there to tease him then you bet he's gonna take you up on the offer and as far as he's concerned if you're not serious then don't play with him like this! He will go there with you!

Mad Hatter: Such a delicate soul, Jervis is. So when flirty friend puts their sights on him, the man is going to be a squealing mess before he turned into a puddle with a hat. He's not sure if friends are supposed to be so touchy and well...amorous...but he isn't complaining! No, not one bit! To that, he can commit! Seriously, he's turned very red and into stuttering, stammering mess. It's adorable yes, but be delicate with this man!
