Family Part 2 CONTINUE...... It was about two months later my sister saw something on Facebook about my new house! She called, and asked, you move to Florida and you don't tell anyone? I asked her, why should I, when was the last time anyone came to visit me? I owe no one anything!! I raised them, housed them, clothes on their backs, fed them, I did my job, but now I'm pushed aside. Goodbye! That was my family life. I can do without that kind of disrespect in the future, I'm no longer going to walk on eggshells for anyone! My time left on this earth is limited and it's in the last phase! I want peace not drama for the time I have left. My home here in Florida gives me that peace. It's on a nature preserve surrounded by animals and nature. I'll be 68 next week, God is the only one who knows how much time I have left here, and I'm good with that! I faced death before and that asshole doesn't scare me!!! It's funny what you think of when your birthday rolls around at this age! For me it's a walk down memory lane, taking a look at life and the roads one traveled. Don't get me wrong I had a good productive full life! I've done more in my life than three men! I came from nothing and did okay for myself and my family! Hopefully, they learned some of what I tried to teach them along the way!

Family Part 1 Family, what is family? I can no longer answer that question. I don't think I was ever able to answer that question! My family was a complete mess growing up, filled with pain, poverty, infidelity, and physical abuse! I would fantasize about a real father I had that lived in California, that had no idea of my existence. Once he found out, he would fly across the country to rescue me from this horrible life I was living! Alas, that rescue never occurred! I would see friends and family members who were enjoying the kind of family life that I wished I had but was out of my grasp. I was so desperate for a good family life, that I fell in love with an older woman with three small children when I was eighteen, several years later we were married. I did the best I could being a child-parent myself with zero experience and no one as a father figure to model myself after! (My father was a monster!) So the mistakes piled on! I admit I wasn't the best father and husband. I made a shit load of mistakes, but I always took responsibility for my screw-ups. My kids would probably tell you that I was a MONSTER! In reality, I never beat them, I did yell at them and I did punish them when they screwed up. Mainly over poor school habits. I could have been a better husband, I was still a baby when we met and had a lot of growing up to do! I was there for her when it really counted though, and that is by far more important than anything else in our lives together. We had spurts of what a good family life should be, my wife saw to that! She was good at that. At this point in life, I already started to retreat within, so, I was just present. When she died, so did anything resembling a family had died with her, and I was no help at all! I mentally fell apart, and became distant, hooking up with this crazy woman, I believe to punish myself!! Oh boy did I punish myself, we'll leave it at that! Those were some very dark days for me that lasted about six to seven years!! But to my kids, I was just an asshole!! I should have gone to grief counseling in hindsight! I went from the crazy woman to a nine-year failed marriage, to a nine-year failed live-in relationship to where I am now! Still searching for that elusive family life, NOT! The kind of family life that I want no longer exists! Since it no longer exists I'm done trying to find it! Now, I shy away from any prospect of getting involved with a woman with a big or midsized family, for me that just spells, PROBLEMS! I have three stepchildren, whom I've NEVER called stepchildren, one natural son, seven grandchildren and I think by today's count four great-grandchildren! Plus nieces and nephews. I see no one, that's one of the reasons I felt comfortable leaving NYC for Florida! I guess there's always something in life you won't get, for me it was the family life that I desired and yearned for since I was a child! I guess that's why I didn't tell anyone that I left I felt it just didn't matter! CONTINUE.....

I was going to keep it simple today, and just wish all the mother’s, a happy mother’s day. Oh well, I guess, that’s not going to happen. To all the beautiful women, that hold the title of mother. I know, that some days, you wish you could run away and hide, from all the thankless work and responsibility. But, we know that just isn’t possible. I want to thank you, for being there. Your job, as mother, and in most cases, wife, is by far, THE most important job in the world, even, more important then the President of the United States of America. Your job is also more important than any doctor, lawyer, C.E.O or any job that most would consider important. Behind every successful person is a mom. Moms teach us to share and how to get along with others. Moms are nurturing, they teach us right from wrong, they’re the influence in our lives which give us our strong values, they are there to pick us up when we fall, they wipe away our tears and kiss our boo-boos and make it all feel better. Most mother’s are taken for granted, and for that, I want to say sorry mom from everyone who is reading this. Without mothers this world would not exist, it would crumble into a heap of nothingness, for mothers are the glue that keep this world together. Mothers are the ones at home raising the doctors, lawyers, C.E.O.s, and yes even world leaders. I want to close by saying, WE all love you moms and have a very Happy Mother’s day.

I don't believe anyone has said that if you get Vaccinated you won't get COVID. Just like it is with the Flu Vaccine. Nobody said you wouldn't get the Flu. In both cases, if you get COVID or the Flu after being vaccinated, it lessens the severity. The underlying misconception of a lot of people is that they think their immune system will handle COVID. This is not entirely true. There isn't a test for a strong immune system. The people who have underlying conditions are the most vulnerable. If you don't go to your Doctor to discover an underlying condition, you won't know if you could be susceptible to a virus that could make you end up in the hospital in intensive care. The bottom line I feel is that a person should consult a Doctor and not Social Media. As to the concern of Mandates I feel that that is the responsibility of a business and not the Government. -Lastly. The use of K-95 masks in crowded environments has been proven to work in lessening the transmission of Viruses.

Just before the vaccine was released Fauci said that if you get the vaccine you won't get the virus! Not everyone had access to the N-95 mask they were saved for the medical community! For the most part people were cautious about the virus and how they moved about! The mandates hurt a great deal of people, businesses, children, and world economies! It was all a test to see how fast and how many people can be controlled by the mass media and social media!!
