I don't normally post here but I got out yesterday and had a great time. Got my second lip piercing and my tamagotchi evolved and is just so cutee. His name is Cain!

Tamagotchi Uni Version 1.6.0 Super Big Update Delivers MAJOR FEATURES

Bandai has just announced that all Tamagotchi Uni’s will be able to update to version 1.6.0 which they’re calling the “super big update”, and by the looks of it, it’s the biggest one yet, and we’re so excited! These updates really breathe new life into the Tamagotchi Uni, and it just keeps getting better and better!

What’s new? Well the new location in the Tamaverse that has been teased over the past few months is now live! This location is called Tama Portal, and you can visit the Tama Portal by first updating your Tamagotchi Uni to version 1.6.0, you’ll then need to get your Tamaverse Ticket starting on Thursday, March 21st, and enter in the input code under the network icon to travel to the new area.

From the Care menu screen, select the Network icon.

Select DOWNLOAD.

Select INPUT CODE.

Input the 16 digit DL Code received in the mail.

After the "DONE!" screen, select YES on the "DOWNLOAD?" screen.

You can now go to a new area from Tama Portal.

*You can only go to one area via Tama Portal.

*If you want to go to another area, please change the area from DL AREA.

Bandai has set up a website called Tamaverse Ticket Shop. Some tickets will be available for free, and some will require payment, but the initial tickets released by Bandai are all free right now. Payments will be processed by XSolla Group, and tickets will be delivered via email.

Obtaining at ticket and visiting the location in the Tama Portal will allow you to download new characters to take care of, and a variety of items to make your Uni Tama even more unique. This is very much similar to the TamaSma Card gameplay we saw in the Tamagotchi Smart. Bring it on!

Bandai has provided free Tama Portal downloads for Very Berry Land,

which looks delicious and features 6 characters to raise including one BRAND NEW character, Tanghulutchi, and you can visit Berry Kitchen where you can see other Tamagotchi characters mains sweets. There is also an exclusive mini game called cake factory, where you can put strawberries on top of shortcakes. Then you can visit the exclusive shop where you can buy a bunch of food, snacks, items, accessories, furniture, and two rooms.

The next free Tama Portal location is LoveMelo Concert, which is a musical festival venue.

There are six characters you can raise with two BRAND NEW characters, Drumcrubitchi and Rhythristchi, and there’s a main stage location where you can see Tamagotchi characters performing! Thee animations are so colorful! Then there is an exclusive mini game called Happy Happy Harmony, that looks similar to the Nyanoe Dance! Tama Arena game. Then you can purchase exclusive food, snacks, items, accessories, furniture, and two rooms!

The third location is TamaMori Fashion Show, which is a venue where the newest trends gather. Love it!

There are six characters to raise, including two BRAND NEW characters, Dresstchi and Bootsbrothers, how adorable? OMG! Then you can watch a fashion show where Tamagotchi characters will be showing off their newest fashions. Who in what is walking on that runway? Then there’s an exclusive mini game where you will move around Moriritchi at the right time to dress up Shirotamas. At the shop you can purchase exclusive food, snacks, items, accessories, furniture, and two rooms.

As if that is NOT ENOUGH for this update, there’s more.

Next you have a new Tama Arena event, called Tama Tree Flower Viewing. This is a rebranded Tama Tree Watering game that we’ve played before but celebrates the cherry blossom season! This event starts on Monday, March 25th, 2024 14:00 JST and ends on Monday, April 1st, 2024 13:59 JST. The result calculation period is Monday, April 1st, 2024 14:00 JST through Monday, April 3rd, 13:59 JST. Rewards will be distributed at the Tama Arena from Wednesday, April 3rd, 14:00 JST through Wednesday, April 10th, 13:59 JST.

You’ll need to select either Team Flower of Team Dumpling first! Same as the Tama Tree Watering event, you’ll tilt your Tamagotchi Uni to water the tree’s open mouths, this time if you get the flower, you can boost your power for a longer period of time. The Tama Tree turns yellow when its bonus time, this is a fun one! The rewards have been refreshed. Reward A which you can achieve from playing 6-7 days is an Elegant Umbrella, reward B from playing 2-5 days is a Dango Prop, and lastly reward C is Tissue. The winning team will score not only the respective prize based on how many days the user pays, but 5,000 Gotchi Points!

The next feature in this update is more room for items! Bandai has heard your cries, and they’re making it happen! That’s right, you can now store extra items in what Bandai is called “My Box”. This is where you can store items that you are not able to hold on the device. The My Box feature can hold 80 accessories, 40 items, and 40 pieces of furniture, that’s impressive!

Lastly, there have been some general gameplay improvements. First, if you participate in a Tama Arena event, the daily amount of points you can earn is now tiered. 3rd place will score you 500 Gotchi Points, 2nd place will score you 750 Gotchi Points, and lastly, first place will score you 1,000 Gotchi Points.

Also, based on your feedback, Bandai has adjusted the displays and effects for a smoother gameplay experience.

This is a HUGE update, Tama Portal is now live, a new Tama Arena game is about to start, the new My Box feature, along with some general enhancements. This update truly lives up to its name, and really showcases how much investment Bandai has in the Tamagotchi Uni. The device you purchased months ago and even more new and exciting features today. This is huge!

Tamagotchi x Calpis Campaign

Bandai Japan has partnered up with another food company in Japan! Calpis, also sold as Calpico, is a Japanese non-carbonated soft drink manufactured by Calpis Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Asahi Breweries.

Calpis also known as calpico is a non carbonated, light, milky, and slightly acidic drink. The campaign is really cute as it focuses on drinking qualifying Calpis products to collect Tamagotchi characters on a special site, and then apply for prizes! The campaign beings on March 11th, 2024 10:00 through June 28th, 2024 23:59.

Prizes include 100 LINE points (1 point, 75,000 winners)

Calpis x Tamagotchi Original pair stainless steel mugs (3 points, 7,300 winners)

a Tamagotchi Uni and original key holder set (12 points, 50 winners),

and Calpis x Tamagotchi Original goods assortment (12 points, 50 winners).

You can participate by adding Calpis as a friend on LINE, purchase Calpis products by locating the campaign sticker. Scan the campaign sticker QR code, collect points, and apply for the prizes mentioned above! Qualifying products include Calpus Water PET 500ml, Calpus Soda PET 500ml, Calpis The Rich PET 490ml, and Calpus Up Fruit Orange Mix PET 470ml.

You can collect Tamagotchi characters by scanning the QR code on the camping sticker of a qualifying product. Every time that you earn points, a new Tamagotchi character comes to play.

The progression will be from baby to adult based on the number of points you earn! Baby stage is member registration, 1 point for toddler, 2 points for teenager, and 3 points for adults.

You can collect all the characters from the Tamagotchi Original but in color sprites. Depending on which Tamagotchi characters you collect, you will earn different smartphone wallpapers, and there are 7 different kinds.

Yuki Kadota Reveals Woopatchi was Created from Overseas Sales Team Member

In the recent Nikkei MJ’s Tamagotchi in 100 Countries article, there was a little gem that you might have looked over! Recently the translated version was provided to us, so now is a good time to read it over in English like we did!

Yuki Kadota, Bandai’s Global Toy Planning Department comments on several things include the popualirty of the Tamagotchi Original in the Western market, the excitement of the Tamagotchi Uni, and how truly unites people from around the globe, and the origin of Woopatchi!

That’s right, the fan favorite character that premiered on the Tamagotchi Uni, Woopatchi was actually created by a member of their overseas sales team. How awesome is that? They were invited from overseas to help develop the new character!

Bandai Namco Mobile Releases Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom Update 2

The big update is here, aka version 1.2.0! After a few teasers, Bandai Namco Mobile has released update 2 for the popular Apple Arcade Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom game. The game was released with lots of bug fixes, and even a new town, Antique Town! In Antique Town you’ll contribute ancient relics and sparking gems to the TamaTama Museum.

You can now purchase vinyl’s for Jukeboxtchi in Gramophonitchi’s shop. There’s even a variety of new characters to meet. There’s even new guests added to existing areas! New accessories and decorations have also been added, two new royal trials, and special vendors are now easier to find. Recycle all trash items at once, and many bugs are fixed! Be sure to update your app today!

Bug fixes:

Less crash on low memory devices

Fixed a bug in the mine, where a decoration item could be freed with the shovel but couldn't be collected

Fixed a bug where players didn't get their quest completed after freeing the Gotchi King.

Fixed a bug on one of Nazotchi's quests asking to deliver a package.

Fixed a bug where Nemutchi kept asking a Gumatchi plushie even though players had one in their backpack.

Fixed a bug of Agetchi having disappeared.

So after that week-long playthrough where I was having all those screen issues, I ripped my New P2 custom apart and rebuilt from scratch.

I swapped the screen bracket (little piece that goes on the right side and looks like this: [ ]} ) for its modern equivalent, a plastic frame from a Tamagotchi Original that applies much more even pressure. I re-tightened all the screws, and after it reset itself in public - RIGHT after completing the baby stage - I figured out that the battery cover was also loose. Adding a thin piece of cardboard over the batteries solved the problem, and now all the pixels and icons are BACK! And it doesn't randomly fade into a blank screen, so that's neat.

BUT ENOUGH ABOUT THAT! Check out the new look!!

I got a bunch of 3.5mm plastic balls for resin crafting and placed them one by one into the front half of the shell. I feel like I could fit oooone more in the very top as a single ball moves around and makes a little rattling noise when you shake it...but I'm really tired of disassembling and reassembling this thing.

On the back I added a silver holo star sticker to the speaker, then put a Tamagotchi UFO sticker over that. There's no impact on the sound whatsoever, as the sound-making happens on the side facing the chip. I used one of the official Tama Deco decal sets to add ホンモノ (genuine, the real deal) and a babycopter to the back of the unit, underneath the battery lid too, just for fun.

I'm very pleased with how it came out and am glad it's finally stable. Plus I now have a bunch of little plastic balls to run my fingers through and maybe toss in other projects, so that's a win too!
