On episode 20
I'm watching the Chinese adaption and honestly not fast enough because I'm so busy with work (even though I can only cram in one episode at work) and other things but I've finally reached episode 20.
So far it seems they were kind of going along with the anime with their own originality and I really love what they've done so far with the show. From character building to overall effects. They've really done so well. But now at this episode I'm a little confused at the direction it's going in and I'm really excited to see more.
We see Fuji playing against Tachibana which in the manga, was kept a secret from the rest of the player and really so far the one of connections to Fuji's growth in the anime; which is this match. The match where he realizes he needs to become stronger for the team, for himself and for future matches. A turning point we never see in the anime. But there's so much impact because Tezuka is present! And it's not in secret. I'm really shocked and lucky to be able to watch this with the leisure I have now.
I will never stop talking about this match it's possibly my favorite matches and it isn't even a full one. Seeing Fuji so serious is possibly my favorite thing ever because we hardly see it this early on in the anime which is what I grew up on. I'm a little sad I didn't grow up on these but times we different then for me.
Excuse my crappy photos...
Anyway, here it's the exact opposite but yet the impact is there. Tezuka knows this is how to help Fuji realize himself where he needs to be which is something that Tezuka doesn't pry on at all with Fuji originally because he wants him to figure himself out. But here it's meaningful and endearing to see the lengths Tezuka is willing to go. The fact that Fuji knows what he's doing is also there but yet Fuji tries.
Both are so good and obviously the adaptation is taking its own spin at it but it's so pleasing to see this before the match with Hyotei which suggests that there is something more to it.
I really enjoy this adaption a lot and if anyone has a different perspective I'd be all ears. There's so much Tezuka/Fuji happening today I'm loving every second of it.

Tenimyu
The list of Myu’s in the TeniMyu line are divided in nine generations so far, based on the actors who are playing the main charaters: The tennis players from Seishun Gakuen. The entire run is also divided into three seasons, with each season telling the story of the manga Prince of Tennis from start to finish.
And at the bottom you can find a seperate list of the rivaling schools. This way you won’t have to go through each musical to find stuff about them.

not to be sappy on main BUT one thing that i really loved when studying linguistics was that the more important a word is, the earlier the concept of this thing was given a word. for example, the word water is similar in many similar languages (aqua, agua, água). so, the more important a word is, the more languages it’ll be similar across and the older this word will be, theoretically and generally speaking (many other things also affect this)
AND SO in my years studying linguistics, there was one word that was nearly identical across so many regionally different languages (though there are outliers of course), from europe to most of asia to subsaharan africa to indigenous languages. across nearly all languages this is the first word people learn how to say and maybe the first word humans in general officially named and defined:
mamãe - portuguese
妈妈 (māmā) - chinese
ਮੰਮੀ (mamī) - punjabi
mamah - mayan (yucatec)
мама - bulgarian, russian, ukrainian
ماں (mäm) - urdu
মা (mā) - bengali
mẹ (may) - vietnamese
ママ (mama) - japanese
అమ్మ (am'ma) - telugu
mama - quechua
મમ્મી (mam'mī) - gujarati
അമ്മ (am'ma) - malayalam
amá - navajo
엄마 (omma) - korean
eme - native hawaiian
onam - uzbek
aana - yupik
mema - tagish
μαμά (mamá) - greek
mama - swahili
أمي (umi) - arabic
mayi - chichewa
माँ (ma) - hindi
mam - dutch
ម៉ាក់ (ma) - khmer
แม่ (mæ̀) - thai
அம்மா (am'mā) - tamil
අම්මා (ammā) - sinhala
amai - zulu
ama - basque
आमा (āmā) - nepali
အမေ (amay) - myanmar (burmese)
mamá - spanish
mom/mum- english
this isn’t actually the first word because we teach babies this word (most likely), but because the “mama” or “ama” sounds are the easiest things for babies to say, and it’s nearly always the only thing they can say at first, and adults across all languages defined their language around that.
babies all over the world for thousands and thousands of years all started out blabbering sounds like “mama” and mothers everywhere were all like Oh Shit That’s Me! I’m Mama!

Y’know, NaNoWriMo isn’t actually about getting 50,000 words in 30 days
Yeah, that’s the Goal – but it’s not what it’s about
NaNoWriMo is about sitting down, starting a project, and learning to manage that project and keep going even when it gets hard
it’s about building skills and forming habits and developing discipline and learning more about yourself as a creator so you can get a sense for what writing methods do/don’t work for you
its about trying things – about making discoveries and making mistakes, and about making progress without getting mired in the minutia so you end the month with more words than you had when you started
It’s framed like a contest ‘cause goals and prizes make things fun, but you’re only really playing against yourself
50,000 words is only a target to shoot for ‘cause without a target it’s pretty hard to practice your aim
