Ever since I first heard the word grotto I knew it was a valuable word. When I first heard the word grotto I knew it could be used for great things. The word grotto refers to a cavity in the earth. The word grotto means a small hole or cavern in rock or other substrate like ice, especially when used as shelter. The word grotto is related to crypt, and it is related to grotesque. Grottoes can also be built. Artificial grottoes are sometimes built in gardens. Sometimes people live in grottoes. There have been people that go into grottoes and live in them. There have been people that lived in a grotto for a long time. Sometimes people store food and other supplies in grottoes. Sometimes there are religious things in grottoes. People like to put items in grottos for safekeeping, because grottoes are useful for shelter. When I first saw the word grotto I knew it had a lot of meaning and meant something special. When I think of grottoes I think they are unique.

randy and benson's relationship is like. i want to like you but i'm not supposed to. like randy has spent his entire life fixated on what's expected of him and what's allowed and not allowed and he purposely never makes a decision for himself because he's so scared of fucking up. but benson breaks it all down in the course of a day. benson kills their coworkers, brandishes a gun in a gas station, beats mr sheppard to death, almost kills ms beard, shoots marsha in the leg, grabs, threatens, punches randy... and the whole time randy knows he should hate and fear and distrust benson but he doesn't. he forgives him automatically, from the start. he confides in benson like he's never confided in anyone. he empathises with him. he sees benson at his breaking point, at his very worst, and he knows he shouldn't like him, but he really, really does. randy who never seemed to care about anything... suddenly cares so so deeply about this man he should hate. it's like benson proves him wrong.

when randy steps in front of that bullet in the diner, it's almost cathartic. for once in his life he made a snap decision. and benson is holding him, apologising, and randy just gazes up at him. there's no fear or anger. he's already forgiven him. it's like in that moment, with that gunshot, he finally lets himself feel... he finally lets himself be a little bit in love with benson. and he confesses to calling the cops because he knows benson already forgives him too. it's trust it's gratitude it's regret it's love. fuck
