ANIMATIC SEQUENCE
My main concept for the model is to show two different sides of the bench in a more extreme representation. I will term these sides as “before” and “after” to explain my main ides.
Before: this side of the model will show the bench in its natural context as an unsafe and exposed environment with dull colours and hard materiality. The “before-side” has in purpose to highlight the problematic aspect with anti-homeless benches and bars. By moving through the bench → the redeveloped bench will appear.
After: the idea of the “after-side” is to create a model that reflects the interpretation of a bench and its context when it is adapted for homeless people. The inspiration of the bench’s expression consists of mainly soft materials.
