why is this shameful of him to do? i’m thinking he can use this concert as an opportunity to get UAE citizens involved in changing their government’s position on these things through his music where they may not be getting the information otherwise. is it a profit thing or an inherent endorsement of UAE?

is it comparable to when artists boycotted north carolina, USA for their heinous bathroom bill a few years back?

i acknowledge i do not know a lot about the political sphere in UAE.

I hope everyone who was so ready to praise Macklemore for creating Hinds Hall are also pushing him to cancel his show in UAE for their funding of the ongoing genocide in Sudan and normalization of relations with Israel.
