Because the movement of the planets and stars is predictable and measurable. Climate science can't even give us an accurate five day forecast, and sometimes the daily forecast is well off the mark.
Hell, I was born in '77 and they've predicted our doom over a dozen times in my lifetime.

The free market does not have an invisible hand. Social necessities are made scarce, then monetized by private equity.
The free market is self-interest. End of story.

That's exactly what the Marxist government wants. They'll declare a state of lawlessness, then impose martial law and shoot the people who they used to start it, then never lift it.

Only God knows the time. Not even Satan knows the time.
its funny cuz people have picked dates that the rapture would happen like hundreds of times over the last five hundred years. every. single. time. nothing happens. i'm genuinely curious about the strange psychological phenomenon that gets people to believe this over and over again.

I once went seven days without sleep.
To this day I don't know why. It was final exam week, but my grades were good enough that I was exempt from exams in all of my classes except one, phys. Ed, which didn't allow exemptions. So it wasn't anxiety over exams. But I couldn't sleep.
Day one I was tired. So tired.
Day two, I was irritable.
Day three I was slap happy. Everything was funny.
Day four, I was weepy.
Day five, I was emotionally spent
Day six I was jittery and paranoid.
Day seven, I couldn't string two words together to save my life. And that's when my body pulled the emergency cutoff and shut me down. I slept a whole day, and when I woke up I felt like a new man.

The instant anyone faces the reality of God, His presence, His work, Satan is there in an instant to stoke their fears about what that means for themselves. I know, because as a reborn Christian, I faced that trial. And I was only saved by the truth of Scripture reminding me that God and Jesus were exactly the solution for what I had done prior to my realization of God's presence.
But those who haven't read Scripture, who only know Him by society's lies about who and what He is and does, they run from Him, because Satan tells one consistent and, sadly, all-too convincing lie, "You can never be forgiven."
When that is exactly what Jesus came for, to secure our Forgiveness from His Father, because God loves us, and wants to save us, but only He can cleanse us, so we have to turn to Him, or He cannot, by His nature, accept us. He, however, elected to pay the price for us.
So when Satan tells them, at the cusp of their choice, "You're unforgivable." We need to be there to show them they're not.
Yesterday my German coworker yelled at me because she firmly believes no world religion can know anything, for sure, about God, so thereâs no way to call anyone ârightâ or âwrong.â
And it took all my strength not to say, âso youâre saying Iâm wrongâ
because truth in love, truth in love
But seriously. What actually is the deal with the discourse that goes: âyou canât know anything for sure about God.â
âWait, yes you can, like I know you well enough to know for sure that youâre from ____ Placeââ
ââno no, no, thatâs different. This is about God.â
âHowâs it different?â
âYou canât say someoneâs wrong about God.â
ââŚWell, can I say anything thatâs wrong about you? Like, if I say, â_____ Person likes to kick puppies,â canât you say Iâm wrong about you?â
âYes but Iâm not God.â
âRight, but youâre a real person who exists, so there are some things that I can know for sure about youââ
âTHATâS DIFFERENTâ
No itâs not! Itâs not âdifferent.â Quit acting like itâs different. Christians donât believe in a set of ideals or the properties of rocks or some mystical vibe that nobody can be right or wrong about. We believe in a living and existing deity with an unchanging, eternally constant personality, and will, and DESIGN, outside of ourselves. So we can be wrong about Him. You can be wrong about Him. Everyone can be wrongâOR RIGHTâabout Him, because He actually exists.
Heâs not some imaginary friend whoâs open to anybodyâs interpretation. You get to claim an independent identity, character traits, and a personal history, but the God of the universe doesnât? What is happening?
Iâll tell you whatâs happening. Youâre fine with me believing in an imaginary figment thatâs only real to me, but as soon as He starts having an effect on the outer world, as if He actually exists and you have to start making some decisions based on that fact, THEN youâre not fine.

And in what way is Christianity "misogynistic"? How is Christ's love anything but perfect?
Explain with fewer than three buzzwords or soundbites.
the simple fact is that christianity is a very deeply and inherently paternalistic and patriarchal religion, and no matter how progressively any particular sect or church or individual tries to spin their particular version of it, nothing can change that. claiming christianity isn't inherently misogynistic is as willful and disingenuous a distortion of its very fundamentals as prosperity gospel.

The Bible tells us how He will return. And it's not the "lend a hand to make everything better" scenario. It's to take His rightful place as King, then to call His people to Himself, and those who chose to spit on Him into the Lake of Fire.
It's to end everything as is and make a newly perfected world.
There's no modern day Jesus hidden in the world. But He is here now, in His followers. We are His hands and feet, and if we listen He will tell us how to serve Him. THAT'S how He works in the world today.
so wait if jesus did come back to earth. we all assume the rapture would happen instantly but what if it was more of a "when the world needed him most, the avatar returned" situation. what if he was just here to help out. how would he go about getting a citizenship in whatever country he decided to reside in. would he even have one. would he get a drivers license. i bet theres like a small specific subset of theology majors alive in the world right now who would love to answer this question if the scenario ever happened so if any of them ever see this post feel free to hmu
