fairy tale final girls: dorothy, alice, and wendy

WHO IS SHE: dorothy, wendy, & alice- all back from their journeys, all bright and brave younger women.

HER FRIENDS: each other

THE SLASHER: the formerly great and powerful wizard of oz, along with his former experiments: deranged white rabbits from wonderland, demented lost boys from neverland, and dark, false versions of dorothy’s friends from oz. these creatures have all been kidnapped from their magical lands, or created in a frightening image of something from the lands.

THE SLASHER’S MOTIVE: desperate to get back to a land where he is king, the wizard is mad with desire to open more portals and he is determined to use the girls as a way to do it.

LOCATION OF THE CLIMAX: the wizard’s twisting and unusual home

FINAL WEAPON: to defeat the wizard, each girl must kill him once. dorothy drowns him. alice stabs him with gardening shears. wendy pushes him from a great height- for he cannot fly.

THEMES: sisterhood, the loss of innocence from childhood to adulthood and how adult men can be the cause, the desire for power & how it corrupts
