I appreciate your permission but I loathe shopping.  It's a tedious waste of time and it consistently fails to hold my interest.

Oh.  You know Kathryn; I've only heard of her, I've never met her.  What I've heard isn't anything that makes me want to learn more, though, that's for sure.

I think everyone is a bit broad, don't you?  Not that it matters -- you're the only one with access anyway.

I'm guessing Kathryn and Carter are getting their do-over sooner than we even expected because I saw them getting into a cab and heard them talking about sharing a meal.

Wow.  That was fast.  Truth be told, though, Carter’s easy.  Look how long he lasted sticking to his guns against his parents; if Kathryn did the dumping, Carter probably did the pining and yearning for re-acceptance.

Be careful, though, Carter — there’s a reason they say you can’t go home.  You made a deal to get your money and your parents back.  Kathryn will never be cheaper than them.  Evaluate what it could cost you before you act this time and you might save yourself a lot of heartache in the long run.

Was I the only one who saw Sebastian Hawthorne and Charlotte Montgomery involved in a tense conversation recently? What's up with that?

I didn’t see it, but I can make a quick opine since I know about it now.

It was tense for a simple reason: they’re both intense.  If Charlotte sat still for long enough to talk to him, she wasn’t that engaged in it.  She also wasn’t that offended because, otherwise, everyone would’ve heard exactly what she thought.

Sebastian?  He wants something.  Probably her.  I was trying to figure out how easy it’ll be to break Carter’s hold and everyone knows the answer: she will never trust the former.  You can’t take the most skeptical girl and the smarmiest guy and end up with anything more than a conversation.  Maybe two, if he’s lucky.  I’m guessing he’s not.

Good.  I should probably avoid shopping with her, though, because it would change her opinion of me drastically.

I'd believe it, but I couldn't ever get that far without laughing and it kind of killed the mood, more than once.  At least, with Logan.  I've found them invaluable in other circumstances.

Well… At the very least, you could voice the opinions to her too because she isn’t exactly willing to talk to me. I’ll talk to her when she actually stays in the same room as me.

Though… the sexual bribes are always fun.

Yes.  It'll either have to make do or not; I won't care because I'm elsewhere.  People are people; it's part of the reason I'd prefer to work with artifacts, relics, and books.  As for the rest of the time, I just strive to be smarter than them so they don't know I'm making fun of them.  It's not hard -- I'm sure you'd find it cathartic on some level.

I'm not a cat person, so I can't say I understand entirely, but I couldn't live without my headphones. I have at least two solid backup pair, too.  

If I hear one more Christmas song...
