9/6/17: WWE taking a Page out of GFW’s Playbook with “Sin City SmackDown” to help ratings
Here are the top matches supposed to take place:
Smackdown Tag Team Championship: The Usos © vs. The New Day in a Sin City Street Fight (or No Holds Barred match)
United States Championship: AJ Styles © vs. Tye Dillenger
Smackdown Women’s Championship: Natalya © vs. Naomi in SummerSlam Rematch
Also, Vince McMahon will be showing up to deal with THE HOTTEST FEUD OF THE FALL in Owens/Shane
Now, of course, this isn’t a REAL PPV and don’t get your hopes up, because the chances for any of these championships changing hands are slim to none.
So, why are they doing this? To be completely honest, there’s only one real reason: Football Season.
WWE did need a small event for SmackDown to happen, seeming that the next PPV for them is not for another month, so them doing what GFW did A LOT in the past couple years when it was still called TNA makes a lot of sense.
GFW did such a thing in order to boost up ratings, such as holding Destination X on free TV. It generally worked in a basic format, yelling on our screens “ITS A TITLE MATCH! ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!” Making some diehard Wrestling fans choose between their favorite team and favorite wrestler.
So this does make sense for WWE, and this is not singular to Smackdown either. Raw is having Cena/Reigns, Lesnar/Strowman & a fatal-4-way for the Woman's title (a multi woman match for a main roster title hasn't happened since wrestlemania) happening at a "B" PPV in No Mercy. So they are trying to grab at everything they can get. To be honest, I hope they get what they are looking for.

The Wrestling Guide for Beginners Chapter 1: What is wrestling, and what do you need to know
So I am writing this specifically under the assumption that you have no idea what wrestling is, that you were no where near the scandals of the past when people found out wrestling wasn't real, you have no idea what wrestlemania is, you don't know what the hell people are "woo"-ing about when that blond hair guy comes to the ring (no disrespect to ric flair I love you man get better soon wooooooo), and much more.
In that case, i'd like to welcome you to The Wrestling Guide for Beginners where me and you will traverse down the path of what the hell people are talking about when they mention the word "Wrestling."
1. What is Wrestling? And why do they keep calling it "Sports Entertainment?"
Wresting is a sport that has been around for generations, and it is an Olympic sport as well. People have been taking part of wrestling for generations, and most are generally loved by fans.
Okay.
Now that that's out of the way, so, the Wrestling we're talking about isn't exactly "real". The slams are usually real cause you can't exactly fake those and so are the injuries when they happen, but Wrestling is usually pre-determined, meaning the wrestlers involved USUALLY know the outcome of the match before hand. *cough* Montreal screwjob *cough* *cough*
That doesn't make it less entertaining though, or any less dangerous. Both men or women's athleticism have to be on point in order for both to be safe and for the match to be as best as it possibly can.
2. What is that "heel" and "face" crap about?
So in every story, there is usually a hero and a villain. Same thing goes for wrestling, except it'd be a little weird calling someone a good guy and a bad guy or the guy all the time (obvious reference to someone). So instead we call them "heels" and "faces".
A heel is generally a bad guy in wrestling and on, most occasions, is usually booed be the fans. They usually do "devious" things like cheat to win matches, or are usually in really big, multi man tag teams. This isn't exactly a bad thing in wrestling and we'll get to that later.
There are many different incarnations of a heel, such as the Corporate Heel, the one bad guy who is using the people who run the company to get what they want.
The monster heel, the one who basically runs rampant, beating every opponent until that one unlucky son of a bitch comes around who takes a beating from the monster but still wins.
There are multitudes of other heels but that's for another time.
Now, You might have guessed it, but the Face is generally the good guy, goodie two shoes, eat your vitamins, hustle, loyalty, respect, "I'm doing it for the fans", underdog bull type of person who, in general aspects, is cheered by the crowd.
There are other aspects of the character such as "tweeners" and "anti-heroes" but well cover those later.
3. Why should I care about wrestling?
Well, it's really a personal thing. It's up to you to be completely honest. People who like or love wrestling usually have a personal connection to it. Maybe wrestling helped people through certain times with its escapism through story lines. I can't tell you a reason why you should care about it because me and you are two different people. For you to care about it, you need your own reason for liking it. But me, I love it because I grew up with it. And it's gotten better with every passing day.
And that's the first chapter, I'm welcome to comments and there will be more chapters on the way. Love you guys, see you soon.
- P.

Welcome to My Page!!
So if you’re reading this, I would like to personally welcome you, and thank you for reading. This is TheFSTVL and this is a wresting Page.
Now, I understand.
There are A MILLION wrestling blogs around and a lot of them have been around a lot longer than I have. But I’ll guarantee you one thing: I love the business of wrestling and the art of story telling. And I will continue to love it as long as I live.
There are a few things, however, that I feel you should know about before reading my page:
1. Most wrestling that I will be talking about will be 92.87% WWE, GFW & WCPW.
It’s not that I don’t know other promotions such as NJPW, ROH, PWG, etc. but WWE, GFW and WCPW are easier to watch due to their weekly programming and easy to tune in status. Also I will be starting to keep up more with Ring of Honor now that FITE TV has been available to me.
2. I am an explicit writer, so I may introduce multiple versions of my posts.
Now, it is entirely possible that none of my posts have explicit language in it. It’s completely up to my brain at that day. However, if I do introduce this, then my posts will most likely take longer due to the fact that I want my posts to be organic as possible so people may enjoy them.
3. I will be doing results, predictions, wrestling thoughts in my posts. I will also do breaking news (if applicable.)
These can vary across many different promotions.
4. It is open season in the comments. I am welcome to criticism, as well as other things.
All I ask: No racism, no bullying, and no bullshit about wrestling isn’t real or how it sucks.
5. This is a wrestling fans safe haven.
You are welcome to your ideas, as well as you can dialogue with me on certain ideas or what you want to see happen.
