Tori gave a roll of her eyes, “Well now how am I going to believe that?” With so much on her mind, it was kimd of nice to be pulled out of her thoughts- even if a state of mild anxiety still lingered as ahe joked. “So youre just going to become my tall man slave, forever getting me things off of high places?”

“I don’t know but I’m serious, so just give me a little bit of credit!” he teased. “Plus I can prove it, let me take you to grab some food or something.” He nodded his head at her next words. “Oh yeah, that’s exactly it. I’ll bet your little human crane---or a stool.”

“Easy now, Casanova.” The brunette smirked, “I bet you say the same thing to every girl here, don’t cha?” Tori looked up towards the boy before laughing for a second. “What am I going to do, call you over anytime I need something from a tall place?”

“I mean---yeah but I mean it with you!” he said with a wink. “Yeah I think that’s the best course of action here really. That or I can just stay over and you can just call my name when you need me.”

The cons of being a short girl is I’ll never get to walk the runway…And having to ask for help to get things off high shelves in the kitchen. And right now I’m more disappointed by the first one.

“It’s still school property. Are you trying to get kicked out?” Paige asked, glancing around at their surroundings to make sure there really weren’t any teachers or even other students around, all the while fanning the air with her hand to try to keep his pot smoke from seeping into her clothes. “I shouldn’t even be out here, I’m supposed to be in the library right now.” She huffed, “But my “study date” cancelled, so I guess not only am I going to flunk this test tomorrow, but I’m going to have to walk home.”

“Nah, I mean I do it all the time and I’ve never gotten caught. What are the chances I will now?” he shrugged. Remy raised an eyebrow, tossing his joint to the ground and putting it out. “Well I don’t know about helping you study but I can definitely walk you home if you need it.”

Remy shrugged, shifting the joint to his other hand so the smoke wouldn’t blow into her face as much. “Probably, this shit is fuckin’ loud.” he chuckled. “My bad though.”

“I’m better now that I’m out of the hospital, but my head bothers me every now and again. But I’ve been doing my therapy sessions like I need to be.” Lola explains. She rests her head against the wall and sighs. “I know.” Lola said before taking a hold of his hand. “You don’t have to be so worried any more. I’m still here.” 

“I’m just glad it wasn’t worse, with that fall you could have died.” he said with a sighed, finishing up the joint before dropping it and grinding it out with his foot. “Has it been giving you like headaches and problems sleeping?” he asked. He gave her hand a small squeeze. “I know---I just---I like you a lot Lola, probably more than I should for what we are. I know I’ve probably been kind of an overbearing asshole recently I just don’t want to lose you. Seeing you hurt like that just scared me.”

she looked at the joint in his extended hand, surprised by the guy’s offer. “drugs aren’t really my thing,” she said, leaning away from the pungent smoke, “and teachers being gone or not isn’t going to cover that smell. all it takes is one janitor to walk by and you’re busted.”

“ah, i mean that’s cool.” he shrugged, pulling the joint back away. “i’m not like into peer pressuring and shit, i just figured i’d at least offer.” he replied. “what’s a fuckin’ janitor going to do? mop me to death? i’ll just give ‘em a fake name or something.”

Lola had never had a concussion before. So, the girl was unsure of what could actually help her recovery process and what couldn’t. She shakes her head no and pushes the joint away from her. “I don’t think I should. Not this time anyway.” 

Remy shrugged. “No worries. How are you feeling anyway?” he asked taking another long drag from the joint. “I was worried about you. Like I mean--I know we just talked last night or whatever but concussions are scary.”

“it’s not the teachers that I’m worried about.” Lola said as she stares at the joint. Normally she wouldn’t care and would just take one, but after her concussion she wasn’t sure if it would be good for her head. “I don’t know if I should after what happened. Least not until my head has fully recovered.” 

Remy raised an eyebrow before pulling back in the joint and taking another hit. “I mean I understand why you’re worried but like---weed is good for that shit. Its neuroprotective so it can help brain recovery and shit. I’ve seen studies and shit that show it actually helps speed up recovery time.”

Remy took another hit of the joint, taking a long slow drag from it before blowing the smoke back out. “Its the end of the day, all the teachers are gone, just calm down.’ he chuckled at them, rolling his eyes and extending the joint to them. “Just take a hit and relax, we’re not going to get caught or anything.”
